Where a lot of the other shops are over cluttered, I appreciate the clear movement through this store with clean displays. Of course, like many tourist stores, it is quite kitschy, but I did end up purchasing something here, a Ginger Sage Mist for sprucing up our guest room. It's been a welcome addition to the house. Also, I found the workers here extremely friendly. Note: I did appreciate the purchase summary breaking down the tax cost to the shopper. They include Texas State Tax (6.25%), Aransas County Tax (0.5%), Rockport City Tax (1%), and Aransas County Health Services Tax (0.5%).

Received a gift card to this store from The Lighthouse Inn during our stay in August…read more Really cute store and a lot nice gifts. I decided to buy a swim mask for our granddaughter- seemed to be a really nice mask with fabric closure -good for girl's hair. Mask was more than gift card so I put the difference on debit card. Our granddaughter Was excited about her mask until she tried it in our pool and it immediately leaked- not good and no way to exchange since we live in Dallas. I called the store and spoke to Carrie and she said not to return the defective mask but she would refund money for it - a few days later I received money that I put on my debit card but not the gift card money. We felt the Store personnel was not honest regarding this issue and we will not be returning the next time we are in Rockport. Buyers beware!

No hello, "What's going on" - just stares. The last time I went in -June 13 2025 - I can't remember- maybe 100.00 bucks total. I go up to the counter, put my stuff on and the old dude goes " what?" With this look on his face like I just asked for all the contents of his cash register. " how's it going?" Says I " oh, yeah" he says - "is this it?" " he says. It's that moment I decided I would never spend another dollar in this place. It's like the tourist trap of retail fish and hunting supply. And don't even get me started on how nasty the female sales gal was 2 weeks ago. I get it you hate working here but I can't help that! Find another job. Go back to school! They specialize in Southwest Native American jewelry- all authentic wares with real turquoise and other gems and stones. This shop only sells the real deal merchandise, and they can prove it! They've got certificates of authenticity, and disclose who the artist is. There's apparently a big trade elsewhere in fake Native American art, coming in from the Far East and the Middle East. The proprietors of this store are on top of things, and personally warrant that their stuff is real, authentic and legitimate. Other vendors in NM sell their stones that are really t glass, plastic or rosin. Apparently, even seasoned buyers can get fooled. Don't worry about that here at the Turquoise Eagle! The store is run by father and son, and you can tell jewelry goes back a long way in their family. They obviously know what they're talking about, and come from the reservations or pueblos of New Mexico. I grew up going to a lot of these pueblos, and I can personally attest that they've got some magnificent examples of the artwork from the different tribes. They also sell Native American goods, like items for ceremonies, dream catchers, CDs of chanting and singing. It's such a cool store with some beautiful jewelry.
