So, they're not the cheapest on the block, but their work is incredible. The two guys who painted my house were wonderful and I felt comfortable leaving them in my house doing the work while I ran to pick up my kids at school/ran errands/took calls at the coffee shop. I had them paint my whole interior (including ceilings). I was referred to them by the company that was doing some other remodeling in my house. The other company was/is absolutely terrible to deal with , but they hit it out of the park with recommending Omar and his team. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the only thing was the plates weren't all put back on the sockets and many were misplaced (gfi plate on non gfi outlets) but that was an assistant the painters just brought in for the day to help them get things wrapped up. Small potatoes in my book, again especially in comparison to the remodeling company I'm using for the rest of my home. Truly a great experience with Dr. Paint. I wanted to review on yelp because people can delete bad or so-so Google reviews. (that's how I found the other place - 5 stars on Google & then their yelp was 1 star!!!!) I have nothing but good things to say: he's an excellent communicator (didn't hesitate to call, text or send photos if he had any questions or issues came up) and they did a great job! When I finally saw their work in person, I was very impressed. I've used a lot of painters over the years in other cities, and Joe knows what he's doing and is a real professional. It was a quality job, and they were neat and clean about it as well. They also showed up when he said they would and got the job done in a reasonable amount of time, and he was true to his estimate with no surprise additional charges. I also appreciated that because I wasn't living in the house yet, Joe took the time to let me know about a couple of house-related issues he noticed when he was there, even though they weren't necessarily "paint-related". So I just had the unpleasant experience of working for Ken. I'm 44yrs old and have over 20+ years…read moreof experience painting. I'm a master Painter. I joined the IUPAT - International Union of Painters and Allied Trades out of Detroit @ age 18. I worked for Master Craft Coatings for many years. Since then I have been doing a lot of H.G.T.V Custom Quality work. Last week Ken hired me asking how much I wanted for pay. I asked for $25 an hour. He responded back with $22. I took it figuring he would see what I was worth and decide to Pay what I was worth. So first day I noticed within an hour he had no clue what he was doing. First off when using a sprayer on exterior especially professional painters always spray the trim first then come back hitting the body. Professional painters always wrap the trim. Blow & Go's face trim off . That is hack work. BEWARE Ken is a hack. All of his work is a representation of his car and his life. A complete mess. He doesn't prep the surface, no scraping lose paint, no priming raw wood, caulking unless you stay on top of him and make him. Other wise he will try and get away with murder. He thinks he knows it all. An arrogant narcissist. It is actually quite the opposite. He knows so much he refuses to learn the proper way to do things and will argue with you. If you call him out he has been known to cuss his customers out and walk off the job. He's a 2 yr old in a man's body. He harps on his employees especially in front of a customer on being careful . Then turning around only to slop paint all over the place. Well to sum up my unpleasant experience he called me today to tell me I didn't know how to paint. Lol what he meant was he can't afford a real Painter that's going to take his time and do things right. He needs a hillbilly crew at $10 an hour because he can't charge anyone much for a poor job. Truth is he can't afford to pay a real Painter what he's worth because he is a blow & Go hack artist. BEWARE hiring this man. If only one person was telling you these things then maybe he could be wrong or Making it up because that person is mad. However there are several other reviews from customers saying the same thing. He's unprofessional, poor craftsmanship, and could possibly cause serious damage to someone's home. You can call me if you want a professional job or not and take a chance. I picked 5 colors, and they made sure I was happy with each room before they did the whole thing which I greatly appreciated. The attention to detail was superb. They were very professional and got the job done fast and for a great price, well below many other estimates we received. They used top quality paint and it looks so beautiful. They even fixed mistakes the last painters made on the molding and other little areas. They moved the furniture back where I had it and didn't leave a mess. The house looks brand new!
