While they did get it right the second time, I thought the cost was a little high. Customer service, as noted in other reviews, is a bit lacking. This place is awesome! Over the summer, I had several pieces of jewelry that needed small repairs. They put a new battery in my watch on the spot, put new clasps on a few necklace - done on the spot and quickly! I highly recommend taking in jewelry or watches to be fixed. I was looking at several of my watches the other day and decided to make some more casual by replacing the steel bracelets with nice italian made leather straps. Watches included multi-thousand $ Omegas, Mont Blancs, Bedat and a very cool botique brand made by N.O.A. I had one other lesser expensive mechanical watch with a rubber strap that I wanted to swap for a nice factory model bracelet that needed to be sized as well. Ed and his wife were very courteous and helpful. I was in and out in about an hour and it would have been faster if their phones weren't ringing and people weren't knocking on their security door to pick up their orders. I had a great experience and my bill was well less than I anticipated. I have quite a few other watches that I'm going to go through and I'll return to these folks for future modifications. I popped in for a watch battery change and was very pleased with my experience. True to their name, they had the battery changed in less than 2 minutes and even adjusted the watch to reflect the correct time. I appreciated that extra attention to detail. Horrendous! I left an earring to have the post welded back on. When I came to pick it up, 5 small stones from it were completely missing, and the plating that had previously given it color was burned off. There was no comment about what happened until I said they had destroyed my earring. Then they wanted me to leave the mate, so they could "fix" it. One can imagine that I wasn't interested in leaving the mate, for them to steal the stones from it as well. This is the type of "jeweler" you've heard of, where you leave your diamond ring, and what you get back is a cubic zirconia. They claimed that the heat to weld the post on caused the damage - but if that's the case, what did they do with the stones when they came off? I am leaving these thieves 1 star, because zero isn't an option. Unless you want costume jewelry from the dollar store fixed, I would not ever take it here. read more

This place is a joke. My wife took her open hearts necklace in to have our newborn son's birth stone placed on it and his name engraved as it already had our older son's name and birth stone. They assured her they could do it with no problem. Not only could they not do it, they ruined her necklace in the process. Instead of a ruby for his birth stone, they put some ugly pink one on it and you can't even read the engraving. My wife went to pick it up today and was very unhappy with it. They tried to act like it was her fault and charged her 140 bucks for their crappy workmanship. My wife loved this necklace and is now devastated. Needless to say I will not be giving Fixed in a Flash anymore of my business and i will make sure to spread the word everywhere i can about what a sorry operation they run. We failed to ask up-front the cost for replacing a men's leather watch band with one we had purchased elsewhere. We were charged $20 for the job...twice the amount expected for a simple leather band replacement. Our experience suggests that customers should never have work performed in this shop without a quote and be willing to pay above average prices. read more

Every time I go in to get something fixed they don't know how to simply explain my options. They act bothered to have another customer. They must be doing fine because they acted like they don't need any business when I asked them to fix my watch. No sense of customer service! read more
