Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at an estate sale. They asked $5,000 for a $1,300 book and was rude and argued and presented with information that the book sells in better condition online for $1,300. They said the book was worth $100,000... This was my birthday and I was first in line for what I thought would be a great estate sale. I expected the entire set of books to be for $750, not $10,000! Every single item that had any value at all was priced extremely high. All I heard the entire sale was others annoyed with the prices. Just had a great experience at a fixed 2 move estate sale! Great prices and willing to deal!

This was the most disappointing connection I've had in years! Sharon agreed to an appointment and then nothing! Did not show. Did not call. Did not cancel. Did not respond to my call. Did not respond to my email. 3 days later I sent a text and she responded!! she said she had a family emergency. Totally understand and wish her and her family the best but it is still extremely unprofessional. Here is what she said: "I am using any energy and time I have to support and backup to my existing clients. I do apologize. Under normal circumstances it would not happen". Again, 100% I understand the focus on family but the lack of a text, call or email after not showing up at all is extremely unprofessional. Running a successful business means you have a method to contact clients in the face of unexpected circumstances which she clearly does not have. I absolutely do not recommend this business but should you decide to do business with her, read all the reviews first and believe the lower stars. If you decide to use her and her business keep your expectations low, very low, do not expect effective communications, and have a back up plan with another company, you should be fine. read more

The woman in charge was frightening, throwing flatware/silverware onto a dining table, almost hit me. I was planning on purchasing the entire loose bag of miscellaneous flatware. I asked her was she throwing that at me as it almost hit me. She replied if i was throwing at you, I'd throw it right at you as she motioned towards my face. I walked out. Sharon O'Shea and her team recently handled the complete cataloging, auction, leftover donation process, and "broom clean" work required to get my departed mother's house ready for sale. It was a house with 50+ years of furniture, furnishings, wall mounts, utensils, paintings, photos, clothes, jewelry, electronics, and just about every other item you can imagine. I attended the estate sale located at 1107 Montgomery Ave. My girlfriend and I attended this sale this past weekend and we had the most unpleasant treatment I've experienced in my life by Sharon O'Shea. It was rude and privileged. She was not only rude to us but also other people. We arrived at 1235, I Venmo her at 1250pm the $200 for 2 butcher block tables and she gave me information on how to make arrangements for the pick up. While I was making the payment my girlfriend found the other items and had not decided on a purse. At 125pm I made my way to the area behind the payment table and My girlfriend was in line to pay. Aprox 135pm I was given a quote of $1200 and felt this was too much and asked to take the $600 purse out of the items. O'Shea then proceeded to make false accusations that we had the items on hold for two hours - don't know what kind of education background she may have but it doesn't make sense with simple math. After I corrected her she still claimed we had the items on hold for one hour. At this point I understood she was not someone I would waste my time correcting. After 15 years in the military, I've learned to pick my battles. O'Shea proceeded to say she would not sell any of the items to us. She said every state sale does what she was trying to do. I said this was ridiculous and would just leave with my 2 butcher blocks. I would leave the heavy one while I arranged transportation and take the lighter one with me. While I was moving the block my girlfriend was followed outside and accused of stealing the 2 chains, O'Shea said that she would search her person and purse, this was in front of a room full of people. I witnessed O'Shea giving the 2 chains to her male partner while she checked us out. How could someone make this accusation with no support or regard for the stress she would cause to us. We did call the police but I decided that I rather get my $200 back and not have any further interaction with fix 2 move representatives. I made O'Shea apologize in front of everyone for her accusation. 24 hrs have passed and O'Shea has not refunded me, I made the Venmo request that afternoon. I finally got my money back around 5am after contacting the owners of the property. I feel like being the only persons of color in that house we had direct a racial profile incident as no other explanation can be accepted for this type of behavior. I will be filing a formal complaint with several business and realtor organizations to bring light to this inappropriate treatment. read more

Would give ZERO stars if I could: Disappointing, dishonest, rip off. Believe the prior reviews. Here is my experience moving out of the home I lived in my entire life (~April 2022). -poor communication - always late, cancelling (or no-show), rushed, and distracted - lack of follow-through and flat out dishonesty- did almost nothing they said they would. did not empty/clean the house as contracted, disrupting and pushing back settlement; not contacted after final clean out until I finally called 3 weeks later - anything not sold was to be discarded, donated, consigned, or go to auction (one reason I chose them)- nothing was donated or consigned. With more honesty and transparency I would have made choices and arrangements for over 2 dozen pieces of furniture that could have gone to someone who could have used it instead of being left -the process was not explained - I was not told that once an item went to auction it was lost to me. I would have appreciated an honest assessment up front from that all those pieces were going into a dumpster if not sold My goal is only for others to avoid this disappointment and misrepresentation by going elsewhere or adjusting their expectations read more

I used Sharon O'Sheas' Fixed 2 Move wherein she told me that some of my garage cleanup would go to charity and the better would be auctioned off. She did take some to Goodwill and gave me the receipts. However, I never received any money from the auctioned items. On October 29, 2021, I wrote her a letter wanting to know where the money was from the auction. I called her on 12/20/21 and left a message wanting to know where my check was. Haven't heard from her again and this is March 2, 2022. It was not inexpensive for this work and I needed the money from the auction, which was due me. It's been a week since Sharon O'Shea and her team orchestrated my estate sale. What an amazing job they did! Sharon was respectful from beginning to the very end! I interviewed 3 other companies and chose Fixed2Move because Sharon actually asked me if she could touch something before picking it up. Before the sale Sharon consulted with colleagues, treated her employees with respect and was very friendly and calm even when faced with 'not-so-nice'-people. What I would have thrifted Sharon pleaded with me not to. She was encouraging, knowledgeable and communicative. She left no stone unturned! Due to massive quantity of stuff I had to sell Sharon gracefully guided me away from the selling process. I trusted her and her team with absolutely everything. Their professionalism is to be envied. Made an appointment for today Monday 12/11 2023 at 10:30 AM. No one showed up or called so I called at 11:00am. No one answered my call, we all have caller ID on our smart phones, so you knew who was calling. I don't think this lady ever intended showing up. I guess when you failed to discourage me with a quote of $2500 to remove any unsold items, you decided to just not show up. My time is just as valuable as yours maybe more because I have ethics. Giving 3 different excuses for not showing up and no reason for not making a simple phone call to cancel appears quite disingenuous. Waited all day for that phone call before I posted review. if there was 0 stars I would give it that. I called them twice about a set of chairs, the lady told me she can't presell. I explained I will travel an hour to get these chairs. I came early stayed online till they open to come into the house half sold. All of the good items that were on the photos were sold. This is false advertising to reel people in. I am extremely disappointed w/ Sharon, her unprofessionalism, & her nonchalance in her business practices. I contacted her several weeks ago regarding having an estate sale/liquidation. She told me to contact her when the house in under contract & we have a settlement date. I did & we scheduled a consultation. She never showed up for the consultation. When I called her she clearly had forgotten about our appointment. We rescheduled the consultation & she contacted me 24 hours prior to our appointment to tell me that she is too busy to help us. I would like to have known during my initial contact with her. Surely she knows this is a hot market & homes are selling quickly. Be very careful if you are considering this business. Selling/buying a home is a stressful situation. You don't need the added stress of a business backing out late in the game. Shame on you!! read more

Jon and Jason cheerfully helped us go room by room and box up the possessions we wanted to keep, bag clothing for donation, and load up 6 truck loads for disposal. " Fixed2Move" liquidation services consisted of a) a home sale of belongings, b) donation and delivery of certain unsold items, c) auctioning of unsold belonging with value, and d) disposal of all remaining belongings in a commercial dumpster. We were terribly disappointed by Sharon O'Shea, the owner of "fixed2move" for the following reasons: Communication, Responsiveness & Punctuality: Ms. O'Shea was a no show/no call to the first appointment and, thereafter, events did not always happen when she said they would (for example, she told us a crew would be at our house at a certain time and when the crew did arrive (much later), they told us that they had not been instructed by Ms. O'Shea regarding arrival time). Professionalism: & Accountability: Ms. O'Shea failed to account for at least 35% of the home sale proceeds. Had we not been the vigilant party, we would have incurred a significant loss. When we brought this serious mistake to her attention, she responded "sorry for the inconvenience" followed by an excuse to the effect "I would have caught it......I was behind....sorry." Really? We still have unaccounted for sold merchandise of some value, but have grown weary of doing Ms. O'Shea's recordkeeping for her. For anyone inclined to hire Fixed2Move we urge you to document, by way of photographs/videos, all items in your household of any significant value prior to the estate sale, and to take room- by -room photographs/videos immediately after the sale is concluded. It is imperative, based on our bad experience, that you take the time (and it will be considerable) to reconcile Ms. O'Shea's accounting of what was sold with your records. We also urge you to be present at the final household cleanout to make sure that all household items have been removed (the new owners of our house contacted us regarding many pots and pans they found inside cabinets). Additionally, it is highly recommended that you keep an eye out for property that you may not want to go into the dumpster. For example, we had a $1,000 Humanscale Freedom office chair that did not sell or go to auction that we prevented from being tossed into the dumpster. Review Emptying your home of 30 plus years is very stressful, so having a house sale and clean out service should be very helpful . "Fixed to Move" and Sharon O Shea did almost nothing that they said they would. -cancelled first appointment last minute -came late to the second rescheduled appointment, came in frazzled, looked around in a rush and left in a few minutes -I had to follow up, she told me the dates she would return a few weeks proceeding the sale to photograph items , but never did return for photos , no showed , no cancel -came a few days to prep for sale, rushed in frazzled again, and distracted -did not have the house emptied and cleaned as promised , still had furniture and other items all over and was not near close to being broom clean , per contract at 9:00 pm the night before settlement and I had to call them -I inquired at the first meeting what they would do with anything not sold and was told they would discard some things, donate things, consign things and if applicable some might go to auction, one reason I chose them -not one single item was donated or consigned as promised and instead , armoires, antiques, buffets, desks, breakfronts, lamps, wood coffee tables, oriental rugs, were all dumped into the dumpster which was completely full -artwork which was taken to auction , was never to be seen again-the process had not been explained and I was not told that once it went to auction it was lost to me -I was not contacted after final clean out until I finally called them 3 weeks later -they did finally clean up and finish emptying by settlement which had to be pushed back due to Sharon incompetence and the furniture left in the house , and the dumpster was removed right before settlement, the date of settlement was spelled out right from the beginning -it's been disturbing to me that I could not donate all the furniture, rugs etc , or have the option to do so to someone who could have used it, and I would have appreciated an honest assessment up front from that all those pieces were going into a dumpster if not sold . I have never written a review on any goods or service or business, and have thought about this for 7 weeks and feel a seller should know what to expect if they choose to use Fixed To Move , she did not deliver and in my daughters words was "dishonest , and a rip off !!!" With more honesty and transparency I would have made choices and arrangements for over 2 dozen pieces of furniture and still counting, rugs , glassware, vases, candles, fabric... I can see from a prior review (s) her timeliness ,cancelled appointments ,no shows ,follow up, crew left things undone , seem to be consistent practice . Had I known that everything would have been dumped instead of donated, I would again , have made a different choice or been present to avoid that . I highly recommend Fixed 2 Move for a simple solution when it comes to hosting estate sales/liquidations. Sharon and her team were trusting and pleasant to work with for my family's estate sale and removal of excess items. Her team of movers were polite and used caution when moving specialty items such as art, furniture, rugs, antiques, desks, and so on- I found that I didn't have to worry about the fragility of my family's belongings. Fixed to move made this process that seemed overwhelming at first, very easy- The initial assessment and quote were fair for the amount of work there was in this space, allowing for me to make proper arrangements for particular items ahead of time (certain clothes and keepsakes). However, I was able to ask Sharon about specific items I was unsure about and found her opinions to be really practical and helpful. When her and her team of movers arrived to stage the house for the sale, they made it simple and easy by sorting out items that would catch the eye of potential buyers and-it worked. I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of items sold and the team took care of what was left of the items after the sale. Was at a estate sale in Huntington Valley and the person running the sale kept changing the price that they already marked on the items. This was a horrible experience. I spoke with Fixed to Move on the phone and explained that we had a very large amount of items from my grandmother's estate that we needed to liquidate. Sharon Oshea seemed fine on the phone and explained that she could run an estate sale for us. She arrived and seemed immediately unhappy with what we were showing her. We had several pieces of Victorian era and antique furniture as well as over 100 boxes filled with crystal, housewares, stemware, kitchen and dining room items, household appliances, toys and games, books, other household items, etc. In addition there was other vintage furniture including 1950s Western-themed chest and bed, and an Amish-made, solid oak, dining room set. After looking around and snapping a couple of photos, Sharon said she didn't want to do the sale due to the "low quality" of the items and she then said we should give her $2,000 to do a "clean out" of the basement! LOL! YEAH RIGHT! Suuuure. What a JOKE! Total waste of time! We ended up connecting with a local auction company who took ALL the valuable items to sell at auction such as many boxes of trains, many boxes of vintage Christmas items, children's toys, an antique silver set, several pieces of furniture and numerous other items, We've also enlisted someone who will clean out the rest in exchange for what's there at no cost to us. So in other words, we'll liquidate the whole estate at no cost to us and in fact will be getting a check from the auction for all of the valuables. I would steer clear of Fixed to Move since it seems all they want to do is charge the homeowner for a clean out and then turn around and sell everything they haul away and keep the money for themselves. read more

We were very dissatisfied with Fixed2Move and the service Sharon O'Shea provided. We should never have used her services! We should have been alerted to this right off the bat, as she missed her initial appointment and was late to the next one. She failed to deliver on her commitments on how she conducts and staffs the estate sale. She told us it would be her and two of her associates on-site during the estate sale to monitor people as they walk through our home. Only on day two did she have a second person present. During the first day we observed her leaving our home and going to her car while potential customers were walking through it. There was jewelry out in the open that could have easily walked out the door. Ms. O'Shea kept terrible inventory/account records. Luckily, my wife kept good records. Ms. O'Shea had to get a list of what was set to auction from my wife and we never did get a list of what items were donated and what items ended up in the landfill. The people she hired to clear out our home and take our possessions to either auction or landfill were not given any instructions by her on what was going where. She told us the auction house she uses holds auctions every other Monday and that we would have a check for the proceeds a couple of weeks afterwards. The clean out took place on July 20th and after multiple follow-ups we finally received a check from her on Oct 19. The only inventory list she ever provided was one that was generated by the auction house.... I would recommend anyone who is considering using her services to do their homework and be prepared for a complete lack of professionalism and follow through on her part. read more
