Small shop, specializes in wine (fine by me!), with good service -- the British guy working the counter was friendly and helpful, and had some good recommendations -- and a variety of price points. We found some of what we were looking for... my only complaint would be that they stock FAR too much French wine (I know it has the reputation, but is difficult to deal with unless you are an expert, and is generally overpriced for what you get. We would have preferred a greater variety of Australian wines... we were particularly looking for some standouts from Wirra Wirra in McLaren Vale: Woodhenge Shiraz and The Absconder grenache)
They were also out of affordable sparkling shiraz (which he had hoped to have for NYE), and it was explained that it was due to selling out at Christmas.
All in all a nice shop, though, and we found some bottles that suited our tastes! read more
