Frankly I was tired of paying a staggering £60 for my stylist at Vidal Sassoon in Bond Street to sort out the mess that is my grizzled wig and I am now very glad I made the change. There are a number of different members of the team and all know what they are doing in their respective areas and give great advice to potential customers, doing so with a very happy demeanour and friendly professionalism. So, aside from the quality haircuts for reasonable prices, they offer highlights, tints, colour correction and hair extensions, if those are your kind of thing... even children's haircuts. Girls, if you are looking for some pampering before a special date or beach holiday perhaps you may want to try their choice of stand up or lay down sunbeds, spray tanning, facials, massages and full waxing service that ranges from upper lip to a Hollywood. I am not too sure that I would go for the latter option personally though. Full manicures and pedicures are on offer, as well as men's body care treatments. Great bikini wax with Alexis. Plus the wax itself was surprisingly UNpainful-- lovely oil treatment to protect the skin, quick work stripping off the hot wax-- in fact, the only bikini wax in my life that hasn't left me traumatized, nursing a glass of vodka afterward. The girl did not remove my cuticles before painting my nails and so the polish started peeling off that very evening. When I called to complain about this, the girl booked another appointment for me saying she will rectify everything. I went there for the appointment and I see the owner standing at the desk. I gave my name and said I had an appointment at this time. She said no you don't. I checked their book, my name was written and then crossed out. The owner called the girl to ask about this and the girl said that this other woman really needed an appointment for this time and she did not think it was important for her to redo my nails at that particular time so she asked me to rebook. I was so annoyed that they couldn't be bothered to even call me to ask me if it was ok to cancel my appointment. I told the owner of the whole incident and instead of apologising for the appalling behaviour, she looked at my nails and said that it looked as if I tried to ruin my nails. How thick can someone be?? Why would I want my nails to be ruined when I had to go to a wedding the next day?!

They have been quite lucky that i was going away very next day for a month. Otherwise i would go back there to ask for a refund as i would definitely not let this lady to touch my hair again for any correction. Basically the outcome was a very obvious blocks of stripes with an ugly line between blond ends and a dark top. Left side was not event with a right side. My hair has been bleached already before at the ends therefore i was highly surprised when she put a bleach all over it for same amonut of time as to the rest of my hair. I said nothing thinking that she must jnow what she is doing as she is charging a lot! I was very wrong. The good job she did was a camouflage that has covered mostly all this terrible job at first. I was not very impressed from the beginning but... i only saw how bad it is when i washed my hair being on holiday already. The camouflage got rised out and i have been left with a horroble yellow uneven stipes that meant to be a gentle highlights. I had to go to cut off about 2 cm sytaight away otherwise i wasn't able to cope with this hair. i had an amazing time on holiday for 4 weeks all my anger just disappeared and i have decided just let it go without making complaints. However i just recently went to a different salon first time after this incident and the lady confirm that it was not overdramatising and that a very poor job was done on my hair. Healthy Glow offer a range of beauty treatments and have sunbeds. I don't use the sunbeds so I can't comment on that but the beauty side of things is excellent. The woman who owns Healthy Glow is also the beautician and she is incredibly knowledgable about all kinds of beauty treatments and she's always so honest, even if it means that she loses business. For example she advised me that for certain beauty treatments I would be better off doing them at home for various reasons, I was very impressed by her honesty because it meant that she would be losing out on the money that I would be paying her. The atmosphere is always really good and all of the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome.
