Great location and was fun with a big group of friends but the facilities leave a lot to be desired…read more NOTE: The golf course is beautiful and well kept though so I recommend playing 18 here The property location 5/5: Can't beat it, right on the basin harbor in lake Champlain by Vergenned, VT this place has its own dock, pickleball/tennis courts, and other places to take in natural beauty. For watersports and a Vermont vacation it's beautiful The facilities 2/5: Nothing was open, there were times when neither the bar nor restaurant were open leaving us to drive 30min to find food. The rooms/cottages are very dated and can use quite a bit of refreshing. Some of the other facilities were dirty such as the dock missing some steps on the stairs, bird poop all over the water sports equipment, and lack of staff

Flying Over The Golf Club at Basin Harbor - Vergennes, VT…read more Every now and then, a spot comes along that makes you stop mid-flight and just take it all in. That's exactly what happened during my recent visit to The Golf Club at Basin Harbor in Vergennes, Vermont. Even though Drone Shot Media usually focuses on locations in New York, this course right on the shores of Lake Champlain was calling my name. From above, it's just stunning--lush fairways, rolling greens, and then out of nowhere, that huge expanse of sparkling lake stretching out into the horizon. Sunrise here was on another level--the kind of light that makes you wish you could bottle it up and use it on every shoot. What really stood out to me was the balance between the manicured beauty of the course and the raw, natural edge of the lakefront. One second I was framing up a perfectly designed green with its bunkers, and the next, I was drifting the drone out toward the rocky shoreline, where the water was catching the light like glass. There were definitely some challenges--like managing the glare from the lake while keeping the course crisp and detailed--but honestly, those challenges are what make a shoot memorable. By the end, I walked away with some of my favorite golf course shots to date. If you ever find yourself in the area, this course is worth a visit, even if you're just there for the views. So- I was here with some guys from my gold club looking for a course in the area to have a large…read moretournament at. With players coming in from all over- approximately 150 golfers playing multiple tournaments over 3-4 days. A pretty good source of income for any public course. THATS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. 1st off that you for being open during the current times. Secondly, the older man in the pro shop charging for greens fees was very nice as was the guy tending to the golf carts at the end of the day. Unfortunately that is all the niceties I have to offer. The fairways were mostly brown. The tee boxes were unkept. The ruffs were unplayable and the greens for the most part by and large were trash. Not to mention- the absolutely awful POS who I almost told where to go and exactly how to get there and gave my 2 cents to.. but instead I just let it go as it was the last of the holes and it was decided they HE was the reason we'd never have a tournament there. I sliced a brand new ball in the water and went to get it out. The 1st two balls I got out we're mine, so I dropped them in the ruff beside the water. That's when I looked up to a screaming belligerent nasty POS screaming at me for trying to find my ball- that I had just pulled out. Yelling at me that even though there are no signs indicating this wasn't allowed- he was telling me so in the most a-hole way possible. Telling me he owns the golf course and that he owns those lost balls, including my ball. Stating he uses them for his driving rage, which is also pretty low brow as far as below par driving ranges go. So- 150 golfers at $60 per round and 9 rounds for each golfer at 3 per day for 3 days equals $81,000 not to mention all the money spent on BEER and drinks and food etc. PLUS all money spent in the pro shop on random things YOU WILL NEVER SEE! hahahah what a looser. And if that nasty guy does actually own the course, that I seriously doubt- he can read this and take a good look in the mirror and thing about what he could have done with $100,000 or so... my advice- never play here.

They have little pirate stories on each of the hole signs if you like to read about the history they created for this course. The prices are reasonable, the staff was friendly and it's in a great location close to downtown Lake George tourist community. I'd recommend to take your family here for a fun hour of mini golf. We all had fun!

What a fantastic golf course! My friend and I have tried just about every mini golf course within…read more90 minutes of Albany and this is one of the best. The greens are kept in perfect shape with no ruffled turf, loose bricks, piles of leaves, etc. The (very blue) waterfall was working and added ambiance. Scattered throughout the course are interesting pirate vignettes and facts, and the caves and bridges added to the experience. The course itself is a bit different from most others. Many courses add artificial challenges (sand bunkers, gravel areas, missing sidewalls near water, windmills, etc.) to make it difficult. Here, every hole is straightforward. And most of them are short. Therefore, it is best to approach it as each hole could (should?) be doable as a hole-in-one. And I got two, my friend got another two, and everyone around us was getting them. Does that mean the course is too easy? No, not at all. But, it isn't a course where you should be taking more than 2-3 putts to get it in the cup. There are no dogleg holes, etc. which add length. Some of the holes have fun twists. I won't give away the surprises, but there were several areas that led to good (and bad!) unexpected results. Play it out and you will see what I mean. The staff were friendly, and they had at least six different sized putters making it possible to get the perfect fit. The prices ($13) were certainly reasonable and comparable to other courses. It was packed on Saturday on a holiday weekend, but because the holes are so short everything kept on flowing nicely. Overall, a wonderful course.
