After a long day travelling to Wembley, which took me 4 hours across three trains only to see my…read moreManchester City lose 2-1 at Extra Time against Arsenal, basically crowning Chelsea FA Cup Champions, I decided to call in this branch of Nando's while waiting for the rush to go down abit at the stations as I'd have a long journey ahead of me back into Manchester.
This branch was quite busy with football supporters, as I presume it would be after a game at Wembley.
This branch serves halal chicken only, I don't like this as it basically forces you to eat it and they don't offer normal chicken as well.
There are many rivals nearby as pointed out such as KFC, Mcdonald's and Pizza Hut but this is one of the only main branded restaurant nearby, so I decided to call in here.
The service was quite poor in general.
My food wasn't great, the chicken was a little undercooked for e, to the point the sauce was still really runny on the chicken,
The sides I ordered were chips and mash, they were just average, they weren't as nice as I've had from other branches.
There did seem to be places to charge your phone and a nice window, well I'd say nice if there wasn't Arsenal fans going up to the window and doing gestures to say 2-1 (Thanks for that, I know just let me try and have a nice meal for goodness sake)
This branch has proven it struggles to cope with big crowds and for a branch right near the largest stadium in the UK, with a capacity of 90,000, that certainly isn't on. While also considering the lack of choice in terms of selling nothing other than halal chicken and issues with the quality of the food in general and some slight issues with the service, I sadly feel this branch only deserves a single one star.
