The rooms were in appropriate style, and were clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms. Great customer service and lovely venue. The pub food was pretty decent as well. We had a group of…read more12 and there was plenty of room for us, even on a Saturday at lunchtime. The layout of the pub is a bit like an old house, with a big open space at the front and then a few little gardens in the back and on the side. The bathrooms are through a sunroom. The fish and chips were okay; the chips were nice and crispy but I felt the fish could have been a bit less chewy and more flaky. They also had a rabbit pie special when we were there and that was great; the pastry was light and flaky and the rabbit was tender and in a tasty gravy. I would have liked a bit more pastry since most of it stuck to the side of the ramekin but oh well. Parking was easy to find on the street outside although I can imagine it can get a bit busy in the evenings.
