She had everything set up for us upon arrival. We got to munch and drink and do our crafts. Her store is cute also. We spent even more money on stuff like candles and bath bombs. This is the store that is run by the same family who owns the Lost Mines of Atlantis. They took…read moreover the business two years ago. If you are gem mining this is where you pay for your bucket. Although the small building looks unassuming from the outside, inside is a trove of treasures. I haven't seen so many different gem stones since I visited the Museum of Natural History in NY. My favorite discovery here was the blue and purple kyanite. It's almost like visiting a museum except you can buy whatever you like. They also carry dream catchers, bric-a-brac, home decor, shells, wind spinners, crystals, incense, and wood carvings to name just a few of their items. The store is packed from floor to ceiling. If you are in the Sebring area the Green Man is definitely worth stopping for. I had a very nice visit with the owners daughter Brittney who showed me around the shop. There is something for everyone here.

What a pleasant surprise in Sebring, FL! While visiting family in the area, my sister insisted we…read morego to the Highlands Art League gallery. Gallery? In Sebring? My sister said she went there every time she visited grandma. Who knew there was a gallery, so we said okay and went. What a lovely place! A lot of artists have retired in Sebring and operate this small gallery and also teach classes. We had a wonderful tour by one of the artists, met another one working on a beautiful painting and ended up buying a small oil of a chicken for the kitchen and a painted tile for fun. The art is a nice mix, the gallery has an entire area dedicated to a specific local artist each month (and a wine and cheese reception too), and the prices are reasonable. Check it out next time you are in Sebring - I know we will!
