I'm not kidding…read more Recently hubby and I were on spring break and had time to explore en route, so we stopped in to check things out. This is a small store in a small town, and it's not sexy, but it's cool. If you are there when the owner is in, you may smell some lingering cigarette smoke, so if you're super sensitive, be warned. But he has dozens and dozens of grandfather clocks, mantle clocks, wall clocks, and even cuckoo clocks. Years ago, about 23 years ago, my parents had offered my husband and I a cuckoo clock as a gift for our first wedding anniversary. 20-something me laughed at the idea and told them thanks, but no thanks, but now 23 years later I'm thinking it might be fun to have a cuckoo clock, and now we do. I realize this isn't a store for everyone, but even if you are a 20-something who relies on their cell phone for all things time-related, one day you'll appreciate a working clock in your home, and maybe Northside Clocks will still be ticking. Our cuckoo purchase included very clear instructions and a three year warranty, so you never know... we might be back for a grandfather clock one day!

The store has other items that a supermarkets have and some items can be a bit pricey but somewhat reasonable. The staff are always friendly and enjoy shopping there. This location is situated just off of 24 in Manchester and has undergone an update in the past few years. They have 5 actual register lanes with the remaining being self check. They do have plenty of staff working the self check areas, but they are not doing much in effort to keep things moving. There was a ton of staff on the floor, but no one interacted at any point. Store looks decent conditionally and the sales floor appears fairly clean. The parking lot needs some attention as there is trash scattered through out and overflowing trash cans. All items I was after were in stock, however the personal items I wanted had cut packaging, clearly from when the stocker was opening the case and sliced the product packaging. Overall, this is your standard Walmart honestly. I came on a mission and accomplished it. I'm not in the area often, but when needed, wouldn't mind stopping in.
