Lots of deals to be found in here! I made a stop for stocking stuffers and last minute Christmas gift additions and was able to get some quality items less than $5 each. Included in my haul were giant Ferraro Rocher hazelnut chocolates (how yummy!), batteries of course, super cozy fuzzy long slipper socks and toys. Great place to get odds and ends things for a low price.

I'm quickly becoming a fan of Five Below!!! When I walked in I was instantly welcomed/greeted by two employees. The store is clean and very well organized, Infact NOTHING was out of place. They even had great music playing thru out. Just those few things makes shopping an enjoyable experience!!!! This place seems to have it all...... From candy and snacks to custom t shirts, cell phone cases, work out equipment, greeting cards, electronic gadgets, posters, shoes, sun glasses, summer & pool supplies, etc, etc, etc. This list just goes on and on. As the name says..... Everything is 5 bucks or less. Infact several things were well under 5 bucks. I definitely recommend to anyone, stop by for a look around. I think you'll be surprised at what all is in there!!

This is such a great place for the Highlands to have and I'm glad it's been embraced. The Sweet…read moreSpot could be considered Louisville's answer to Rocket Fizz, the candy 'n' soda chain that grew like a weed in the 2010s - usually in downtown districts or other neighborhoods known for walkable nightlife. The Sweet Spot is less edgy (you won't find any "Fidel Castro's Havana Banana" soda here) but just as delightful for all ages - perhaps most of all for the adults who are fresh off a "Kentucky High-5" from Against the Grain down the street. Whether you're after regular packaged candy or the fancy glass-counter offerings, you'll find that the selection here is well above average. The staff is terrific and the prices really aren't bad for a specialty store like this. My favorite part is the soda cooler, which is reasonable at two bucks a bottle and contains some genuinely unexpected regional favorites. A visit to The Sweet Spot is your chance to finally try Double Cola in a glass bottle, enjoy a taste of Kansas City with some Atomic Fizz, or embrace your inner Evansvillian with some West Side Water (a.k.a. Ski). If you start regularly walking Bardstown Road, you just might find yourself visiting The Sweet Spot more than you expect. A true delight.

Cute little candy shop in Southern Indiana [New Albany IN]…read more Located in the historic part of downtown of New Albany this candy store specialized in handcrafted French-style macarons and chocolates. The storefront is the cutest with pink motif colors... pink awning, pink doors, pink signage. Inside is nostalgic. They have pre-packaged candy as well as candy by the pound. Mix & match chocolates from the Sugar Bar and choose from a large or small candy cup. I chose the small candy cup for $10 and had it filled with milk chocolate peanuts and milk chocolate raisins. Friendly customer service. When someone exits the shop they bid you with a "have a sweet day." Family owned and operated. Instagram: @newalbanysugarshoppe Review #3878

Look for the sidewalk signs to lead the way. And despite it's small size it is absolutely chock full of sweet goodness! I saw several candy brands that made me feel nostalgic. Macarons are a signature -- definitely check out the large case of many flavors. And it boasts a case of so many chocolatey treats. I ended up getting some chocolate dipped Oreos, sprinkled in edible glitter, for my kids, who went nuts over them. (I maybe snuck a bite too!) I love taking time to explore New Albany, to see what new-to-me shops I can discover. The New Albany Sugar Shoppe was a highlight during my recent trip across the river.
