Super, compassionate. At this time , very picky with everything. Very component. Left everything to them.

Rebecca is a gem and a real asset to FitzHenrys. She is very professional and compassionate. I picked up my mother's ashes and the the urn was placed on a beautifully decorated table and soft music playing I was given time alone before completing paperwork. I've shared this story and I gather this unique. read more

During the difficult time of my mom's passing, Fitzhenry's was amazing specifically Marie she was so accommodating, sympathetic, and understanding. She was very knowledgeable and made this uneasy process manageable. My family and I are truly grateful for her and to Fitzhenry's. Marie notified us on every single step and check on us during and after the services. Highly recommend this funeral home over others in the area. Thank you for your kindness. read more

We had three relatives pass away in three month's time. As many of you know, losing someone you love is devastating, much less multiple people. Fitzhenry's Funeral Home helped two of our loved ones, each one having unique circumstances. Amanda helped us through the first loss with the utmost compassion, along with taking whatever time we needed to be truly heard. She contacted us quickly with important communications and never left us hanging. She even allowed one of us to sit in a waiting room the day our loved one was cremated, checking back to report the progress, to completion. Thank you Amanda. Marie helped us through the third loss. Her attention to detail and going out of her way to exceed the wishes of our loved one was top notch care at its finest. She even created well-timed laughter in the most appropriate way. We truly cherished that too. She expertly coordinated the music and prayer cards to meet our loved one's final "requests"...including a macadamia nut and an oatmeal cookie to go with the flowers at the end. We would highly recommend Fitzhenry's Funeral Home in Carson City, Nevada. There you will find compassion, professionalism, and a deep sympathy for everyone who walks in their door. We greatly appreciate everything Amanda and Marie did during this awful time. We thank you so much. -Chris and Lori S. read more

Considering the circumstances, I wouldn't normally post a Yelp review, but I would really like to acknowledge how sweet, kind, and considerate Marie has been in assisting my family and I throughout this process. She really went the extra mile and I can sense her sincerity and compassion. She's definitely in the right field. She communicated and kept us informed throughout the whole process and I'm glad we had the opportunity to work with her. read more

We chose this facility because we know others how have had good experiences with their loved ones, but mine was just the opposite. My dad had to wait for over two weeks to get cremated because they facility messed things up with getting the permits from cremation. They sent it to the VA for a signature on the death certificate even though my dad never was treated at the VA. This cost us days. They then sent a doctor that doesn't do electronic signatures, this cost us days. They finally sent it to his primary care doctor who finally signed off on it, but it needed a signature from the coroner (this cost us days) I will NEVER use this facility again. They are overpriced and don't seem to care about what they do. read more

Thank you Carson for taking such amazing care of my mother during this most difficult time. The business truly understands their role in supporting families as their loved ones pass. They offer so many options and budgets from no- frills to top of the line. No pressure sales, just great listening and kindness providing and offering what you want. . Carson went above and beyond. Asked what music our dad liked and a bit of background so she could visit with him before cremation. We know our loved one is safe and in the best hands. Thank you so much Carson! read more

We picked Fitzhenry's for our Dad's service since we knew it was a long time trusted business in Carson city. From the beginning of planning to the actual end and day of the service the staff at Dignity were excellent. Christie handled most of the planning and made it easy for my mother to plan the most perfect arrangement for my Dad(her husband of 43 years). The day of the service we met Bob Macias who is a celebrant not a minister or pastor which is more tuned to how my dad would have wanted. He was excellent and spoke with all the family members on a personal basis to get to know my Father better. His speech was perfect, elegant, touching and even humorous which was executed at the right times. They had everything together from start to end and we thank Dignity and the staff for celebrating our Fathers life and legacy. read more

There are no words for the pain I am in. I am a mom that has lost her son. Christie and her staff treated us like family from the moment we called to make arrangements. The exemplary and extremely respectful care compels me to refer Fitzhenry Funeral Home to any and all families that are in need of their services. Christie went above and beyond the call of duty throughout the entire process, not just going the "extra mile" but another 100 miles to ensure our family member was taken care of so well. read more

Do not use this place if you love your loved one and want some one to compassion. We had to go with this place as our parents per paid for their services. My husbands dad past and while his step sister kind of took the lead due to his distarught the lady never acknowledged my him or his loss. When we went to pick up his ashes they just handed him to us in the main loby and had us sign as if it was just a new dress we purchased. A compassioate place would have taken us in to a nice room and giving up a quiet moment to recive our loved one and treated it with way more comappion and dignity . please give your money to place with compassion . They have none ! All busniess and no compassion here read more

Christie definitely deserves more applauds and appreciation than my family could ever give. From the very beginning, at one of the most confusing and hard times of our lives, she was welcoming and most helpful. When it came to planning our mothers funeral/ celebration of life, she definitely exceeded our expectations! All of our friends and family were hugely impressed by the amount of love she put into this day! Every little detail was every bit our mother....rest in peace mom, and thank you again fitzhenrys and Christie! read more

Christie, and the Fitzhenry's Funeral Home were nothing less than a gift and a God-send to my brother and I after our Dad passed. She knew where to step in...and carried the load when we were simply confused and weak. She knew when and how to give advice and comfort. Her ideas for Dad's service literally brought me to tears of thankfulness. Then, if that weren't enough, she dealt with the remaining confusion and even problems of others who became involved in an unexpected way. She managed to work through legalities, and yet kept relationship with the funeral home a positive, forward-moving one. I don't know how she does all of that - except to say that we felt she truly cared. read more

Fitzhenry's handled the arrangements for Officer Howell of the Carson City Sheriff's Office. Officer Howell was recently killed in the line of duty responding to a domestic violence call. A beautiful ceremony last week there included thousands of attendees, several public safety agencies, a motorcade from Carson City to Reno, and military honors. Fitzhenry's did a beautiful, respectful job handling transportation and numerous other matters. read more
