This is a great gym…read more I'm going to give this place a 4.49/5. Still an awesome gym. I did one of their bootcamp (circuit style) classes and it was a great class (run by Dani). Definitely got my HR up. I also played around with the equipment a bit. All their equipment is amazing. Four squat racks, four lifting platforms, 2 bench press racks (technically 6 if you include the squat racks), farmer walk bars, Assault bike, Assault runner, 2 sleds, lots of dumbbells, battle ropes, plyo boxes, etc. If you know what you're doing, it's a great place to workout. If you don't, the owner (Jason) is very friendly and easygoing and I'm sure he can help you out (so don't be intimidated even though you'll see guy deadlifting 400+ lbs). The turf is also very long and wide, so multiple people can use the turf at the same time. The rates are very reasonable for this type of gym ($45 to $55 depending on your term). So why 4.49 instead of 5? Change room is kind of small and doesn't have showers. But really, you're there to work out, not have a spa day. Would recommend to anyone. They also have very good hours too.

I deal with a variety of health issues that can affect my performance and Colin will ALWAYS modify the workouts to make sure I'm comfortable, but still pushing myself. I'd recommend him to anyone, new to fitness or a pro!! Aside from his competencies in the health and fitness world, I feel like I've gained a confidant in him. He's supported me through so many unrelated issues and has always been caring and accommodating to my varying emotional troubles. Can't recommend him enough!! Thanks for everything you do Colin!

Of the regular yoga instructors, I liked Danielle as she challenged us to practice outside of our comfort zone. + SIGN UP: Signing up for classes is really easy, you just sign up online. You create an account & its super user friendly (on the website). The mobile site can use some work. CONS - MAT...rentals? I forgot my mat one time and had to pay 2$ to borrow one. While I understand the business side of things, I can't help but feel that's kind of tacky on their part. I already paid for the lesson... they also charge for towel rentals and water if you're doing hot yoga (you have been warned). Considering that yoga is purely a service dominated industry, I think that things can be done to make the experience more pleasant. *Note that the hot yoga studio is 3x bigger than the regular yoga room. I did not do hot yoga so this review cannot be used as a gauge for that particular aspect of the facility.

I've been to this studio many times over the last few weeks and I have had a good cross section of instructions and class types. While I have been practicing for years, this is the first time I've done so in a hot yoga room and I LOVE it. It's not bikram (the excruciatingly hot room), it's heated and as a result you can get an amazing work out, lengthen, stretch and get fantastic hands on practical advice from Sharon and her amazing yogis on staff. There's also pilates and yoga for 'grandmas and grandpas' and children alike. I think kids and elderly alike would benefit from yoga - I hope more people take this studio up on these classes. This studio is new in Vaughan, about a month old. After frequenting so many yoga studios that are dingy and sometimes unsanitary, this studio is immaculately clean, spacious and inviting. Sharon and her team are generous with their time, advice and are willing to take the time to teach the novice as well as more experienced yogis. If you are afraid to start yoga, trust me, this studio will help make it accessible to you. I live in the US and I go to a regular studio there - but after finding this place, I am thrilled there is a fantastic studio near where my parents live. After a few weeks of practicing here, I feel absolutely fantastic: strong, lean and I can actually see physical changes already. They have a strong core component to their practice which is really wonderful - challenging - but wonderful. Many studios don't invest in this as much as they should as a strong core is the basis of a strong body! My core feels tight. Another benefit: there is a beautiful bathroom facility with showers, hairdryer - so you can come in the morning, lunch or whenever and easily get back to your daily routine. I am so pleased to see Yoga on Seven in Vaughan. I no longer have to travel to downtown Toronto for Yoga or for a good workout. I'm hooked!!

A short drive from Square One, took over the former UFM gym. It's one big room with "alcoves" for stretching and Black Card Members things such as massage chairs, tanning beds. I found this gym quite big and busy shortly after office hours. They have outdoor boot/shoe racks, small individual lockers (bring your own lock!), water cooler, and individual change room/shower stalls. It was also quite sunny inside the gym, so there's a lot of natural light that pours in from the front. Quite a big parking lot. Clientele is mainly younger guys who like to flex in front of the mirrors and talk each other up. You cannot enter gym unless you have a pass OR speak to someone at the desk, behind the auto turnstile. I can see this as a good/bad thing, so visit during their staffed hours if you're visiting for the first time. No obvious trainers were around during my visit, so you'll either hafta ask a neighbour or someone at the front desk if you need assistance. Everything was in good order/visually clean, but then again, gym literally opened at the beginning of the month. So only time will tell. One thing that was annoying was that the Emergency Exit went off 3Xs during my workout. So I guess people are accidentally exiting thru this door. Sound travels loudly thru entire gym.

When she went over to start the classes she was told she can't have any classes as this is not a valid offer. When she tried to register they asked for a credit card to pay although I have already paid. She was finally admitted to a few classes but every time she had to explain the whole thing. The experience was very painful. I would not recommend this business.

So far this is my favourite GoodLife gym!…read more There are a lot of new machines and a lot of space to work out in. I also like that all the employees are very approachable! My favourite time to go to the gym is at 8:00am-10:00am; there isn't too many people so that means you don't have to wait for a machine. I also found that there were A LOT of squat racks where there were around 8 on the outside and 1 more in the women room. As a girl going to the gym; certain gym locations have a lot of guys that come and approach you but for this gym I found that it hasn't happened at this location and I've been here for over a year now. Plus if you were a girl that didn't feel too comfortable working out in the co-ed area, there's a women section that is well stocked with machines, equipment and obviously a lot of cardio machines. A major thing too is that the bathrooms and the showers are kept clean which is a plus! It's been over a year here and I haven't had any bad interactions/ events happen. Would recommend!
