It rough out here, this place is a dreamland of self-improvement.

The gym's number 1 goal is to make money, not make you more healthy. Drop in rates for visitors/guests are very high for seemingly no reason. The gym is more worried about liability than your actual fitness. Specifically their "functional fitness" room is off limits unless a coach is in the room-- a rule which anyone who participates in this type of fitness knows is somewhat silly. Yes, the gym is beautiful, clean and has everything you could want-- but if you're really trying to get the most for your money then sign up for a gym that sees you as more than just a monthly number.

And every time it was a black or mexican they couldn't seem to find my membership after I made sure pf could take it out of my bank etc. every month so I would not have to go thru this. Then after I quit the club they kept taking money from my bank and I signed no contract. It's owned by hispanic and if you are a metro white male they discriminate against you. The number one thing a club should is have the decency to not harrass paying members trying to enter the club.

I wanted to use the tanning facility I tell them they ask which bed I prefer eight if I could have it they said okay we have to clean it too staff members went to clean beds I go and sit in the little waiting area it's chaos the whole time the one young man comes out and says that he's going to put me in bed five instead okay whatever works so he calls himself cleaning it tells me I can go in I go into bed five I remove my clothing I sit on the bed and my entire bottom got wet from the solution that she used to clean that had not been wiped up so I retrieved the towel that was sitting in the chair to use to wipe your sweater or whatever after tanning so I can wipe up the solution myself and it had a big old black hair on it so I said this bed is not clean I'm highly upset I wanted to leave at that point but I had road to the facility with my sister who was already in her bed so they offer me bet 8 which I was supposed to had in the first place he was still cleaning it okay he comes out so I can go in there that he's going to set the bed for me I get into bed at 8:00 and the glass piece that you lay on that they have to lift up and clean or whatever was not properly placed back on the bed I shrug it off because it's been like that before and I've gotten in it and I was fine my choice however I get into the bed wanting to lay full time which is 12 minutes 2 minutes and 58 in and seconds my bed turned off

Fitness Plus - Poorly maintained equipment

This gym once had great equipment. It was new, shiny, clean facility. The year was 2007. I first…read moreworked out at Fitness Plus in '07, and some of the same cardio equipment is still here. There is no desire to update the facility. Post-COVID, the membership fee dropped to $20 a month. They have no budget. The facility is less clean and understaffed. There is no longer a locker room attendant, so the men's locker room is in a sad state. The tile floors around the showers are unclean. The lockers are never wiped out. One locker has had a piece of dried gum stuck inside for 6 months. I've told multiple staff members. At one point, the shower curtains had black mold on them. I've taken a white towel to the steam room and wiped a section down. The towel was black. This was 2 hours after the facility opened that day. The sauna has not had a good cleaning in probably over a year. The funk of 15 years of sweat is just caked into the wood benches. I quit using the whirlpool in the aquatic area after i noticed the grout between the tiles was black. And nothing quite says, "I'm here to save you" like a lifeguard wearing socks and shoes while playing on his phone. Unprofessional, but its the least of this facility's concerns honestly. Moving upstairs, the workout equipment has not been updated in over 15 years. Due to understaffing, the floor in one room upstairs is supposed to be a nice tan color. It now has a layer of filth over it that makes the floor a nice gray color. The cable stations may or may not be working. The smith machine works on a good day. Most of the equipment works, but it's just sad to see what was once a good gym just become so dated. There's newer, better equipment on the market. Overall, it's not a terrible gym for $20. But I have heard Planet Fitness is cleaner, and it's only $10. Saint Francis lowered the monthly membership from $57 to $20, and in doing so, they literally became a $20 gym.

I love the fact, being older, that it is located right next to St. Francis Hospital. If you need medical assistance, I am certain this is the best place to be. I love the two stories and view to the outside. Great place!
