You guys have no idea how hot I'm looking these days. Like, for real. And a great deal of the…read morecredit goes to Bonstar! I had been running and gym-ratting for months and was starting to get a little bored and restless, but I REALLY didn't want to lose my fitness streak. It really does feel as good as they say it does! Endorphins and shit! So I snagged a Living Social deal for a month of Bonstar's unlimited boot camp classes in the park. I just finished up my month and immediately bought another pack of classes because I am OBSESSED. I genuinely enjoy getting my ass kicked by these guys. My first class was on a Monday, my second on a Wednesday, and when I showed up for class on Friday, I was finally walking normally again. FOUR DAYS I hobbled around this city, while elderly women breezed past me up subway stairs. Keep in mind that I had been working out five days a week for months at this point, and figured I was in pretty decent shape. Turns out there were a whole lot of muscles I wasn't training. The camps use a lot of High Intensity Interval Training, so you might feel like your lungs will burst after only the first five minutes, but keep going! Sometimes the instructors will break out a med ball or resistance bands, but they use mostly your own body weight. Planks, bicycles, squats, lunges, and plyometric pushups are about to become your besties. BRING WATER. They suggest bringing gloves, which are definitely nice, but I never had any and I was fine. Leaving the park and sweaty and dirty and covered in grass made me feel like quite the badass. The instructors will push you HARD, but they're never ever mean or condescending and they always have a modification ready if you can't do something due to an injury. The website is easy to navigate, classes are a breeze to schedule, Bonnie (the owner) is super helpful and accomodating always just an email away, but most importantly, you will see RESULTS. I highly recommend Bonstar!!!

Bonnie is a wonderful trainer. She's created a boot camp workout that is motivational and…read moresupportive at the same time. She really has just the right balance. The workouts take place ("Shine Only") in Central Park, where you'll meet her and she'll get you warming up right away. After a quick jog, the routine starts in. Prepare to get sweaty and messy. It's a very intense and very quick hour you won't regret, especially after it's over! One more thing I liked; we were all at different fitness levels and it didn't matter. Everybody gets what they put into their workout with Bonnie. So, bring your gloves and your water. Things get pretty real.

But by his winter review at school and less the 5 months of being in judo the school was amazed he achieved all the goals the set for him. And he was now age appropriate. It's changed a lot in those years, it's expanded to almost 60 acres, there's a bridge over the brook and benches along it where you can sit and contemplate your surroundings. There's now a full trail system that's really well marked and they seem to be adding another. The brook becomes a trickle in the heat of the summer but when I visited it was rushing over little falls and had some deep pools that were great for letting the dog take a swim.

I would give this a 3.5 but since there's no 1/2 stars…read more.... Note: The trail crosses the main road so I'll refer to the trail on the parking lot side as well as across the street on other side. Pros: The cute falls are fun to stop and play at. The rock walls constantly along the trail are fantastic. The trails on the parking lot side were nice, less bugs in this side, good woodsy vibe. Lots of good signage throughout. Cons: buggy! I'll give it another shot and see if it was just an off day but the bugs really were swarming at times and making it very annoying. While the trail on the opposite side of the parking lot did have the better falls, the rest of the walk on this side felt a bit underwhelming (but this is also where the hugs were the worst.) So - it's a split review. I'll give it another shot and see how I fair with the bugs.
