I had to escalate this to the Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (File No. CAS-118402-S3D3H). Only after government intervention did the owner, Chris Mulchinock, agree in writing to send a refund -- but as of 01-21-2026, I still have not received it. See attached screenshots for documentation, including the government case confirmation, and the owner's written commitment to refund. This has been ongoing for months. If you're considering this gym, be aware that getting your money back may be extremely difficult. I will continue the path for the refund, and I will update this review if and when the refund is actually received.

This location is super clean, well-maintained, and has great 24/7 open hours. I love the modern equipment, especially the cardio machines that connect to my smartwatch so I can easily track my progress. As an autistic adult with physical challenges, I never expected to win the "GoodLife Personal Training Challenge," but Davide's patience, empathy, and coaching made it possible. He also coached and trained my two nieces and referred them to an excellent osteopath, helping them overcome scoliosis and thrive as nurses. Though we no longer train with him, the strength, knowledge, and confidence he gave us still guide us. GoodLife Yonge & Finch feels like a second home because Davide always makes me feel welcome. If you want a trainer who truly listens, cares, and delivers results, I highly recommend Davide.

When I walk in I like the fact that the staff are super nice :) very welcoming and friendly. The machines are nice and clean. Since I am not super strong, the weights are just right for me. The locker rooms are nicely taken care of and the guests here do wipe down the machines after they use it. Also the fact that it's purple and yellow makes the gym extra cute! If you go to the tables near the entrance they actually have free pens (purple ink!). My boyfriend actually has the black card which comes down to $25/month and it includes access to all plant fitness, massages (btw u need to try the hydro massage!), 50% drinks, and you can always bring one person in. My gym membership is worth $45/month at good life. Planet fitness is so worth it!

This location has many machines and they also have a sauna. No hot yoga though ... The best time to go workout would be in the mornings, only because there's so much more people at night. Monthly fee would be around $60 and one of the downside to GoodLife would be that the employees work on commission, so they really push you into buying the packages right away. My guy told me after I buy my package, I can get a month free... it was only 2 weeks. Also, if you work at markville mall, you can get (I think) a 10% discount. Same goes if your a student. None of those shitty safety pins that break your fingers every time you reach for one. Their treadmills are a little close to the TV's, maybe to discourage passive exercising, but there's plenty of them so nothing to complain about. I also found various leg machines that are actually useful, and brand-new plates and barbells that feel ergonomic. This crowd seems to be more into serious lifting too, as opposed to the baby boomers and teenagers you'll find at other Snap locations. Unabashed video making and squatting contests run galore and are almost intimidating. Weekday afternoons are nice and dead until 3pm rolls around and then everyone shows up, but on the upside there are some IG-worthy looking people. The only downside is they don't have a studio, or much of a spot for training and calisthenics. The punching bag is also located right in the middle of the gym so everyone can watch you live out your MMA streetfighter fantasies. There are also plenty of mirrors from all angles, especially around the power racks, to satisfy your inner Narcissus. It can't get better. Another downside is they only have 2 bathrooms which double as changing rooms, which could prove socially awkward during busy hours. The plaza does look sketch even by Torontonian standards, which makes the pothole-ridden but ample parking lot fun during the day, but a crime movie setting at night. Overall though, given the selection of equipment here, I'm a fan.

They do have a full set of dumb bells, but *very* little free weights outside of that. No squat rack, bench, or anything. There is a bar you can use for cleans or deadlifts, but overall it's fairly limited. But if you're the machine kinda gal or gal you'll be fine(machine's as in you use machines, not that you are a machine. Or maybe you are a machine, or not, but on machines... you know what I mean). One thing they do have here which is neat, are ropes. Not for pull ups, but for waving up and down... so that the rope looks like a snake... or a wave... you know, that arm workout thing you see elite athletes do... ya, I have no idea what it's called... can we just call it "the rope"? The ropes bump this from a 2 star to 3 star, since I haven't seen ropes at any other gym. They also have two punching bags, which you can use to punch, kick, body check, hug, or kiss, 24/7!
