They said they had help when they needed it but learned a lot too about fishing for "big fish" versus the small ones off our cove on the Cape. Scott's responsiveness surpassed my expectations and the booking process was a dream! I get nervous in the water whether it's on a boat or swimming...only because I can't swim and I…read morehave anxiety. My family and I had so much fun on Rick's boat. His boat is clean and steady. We went lobster fishing. The boat is so steady, it wasn't rocking around too much. Rick gave us each a job to do. One was to record how many lobsters in the trap, which were keepers and which we had to throw back because it was either female (breeder) or too small. I had the job of measuring the lobster for size. Rick taught us that if it's a breeder, you clip the tail to indicate that it's a breeder. My sister in law was recording the number caught in each trap. My brother in law helped with steering the boat (he has a boat too.) My husband helped with gathering the lobster trap with a pole. I didn't know pig skin is used as bait. Although I was nervous, Rick kept me busy with putting bands on the lobster claws. I became an expert at it. At the end of the day, Rick put our catch on the grill. Let me tell you, grilled lobsters are the best! Especially when it's fresh out of the ocean. There was also a small crab in the catch too. I had forgotten about being nervous in the boat. Definitely book a trip with Rick, he makes boating fun! Even for people with anxiety being in the water. I want to go boating again with Rick this summer! I'm not anxious with Rick. He's great! Maybe this time I'll learn to fish!

Can't say enough about how kind these people were and what a great family business it is if you're visiting town and looking to rent, rods bait, etc. I highly recommend the shop. The owners are incredibly friendly and incredibly helpful and Darlene has the cutest Boston accent! All regional accents are going vanilla so hurry up and go visit Darlene. It is the Gravelly Point of Boston. Why? Gravelly Point (a park in Arlington where parkgoers can see planes land into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport literally over their heads), has planes. Constitution Beach has plane taking off and landing right in front of you. Gravelly Point has trains, with the CSX RF&P Subdivision and Long Bridge walking distance. Constitution Beach has the Blue Line on the T running underneath your feet. I also like the pedestrian bridge that looks like a series of waves cresting and falling into the ocean. Something about a fall beach makes it all the more prettier...

When booking, there was a 21+ note (we have a 12yo who loves oysters and can absolutely behave with adults). I called and it was confirmed for all-ages (just no alcohol for those under 21) and was able to take my booking over the phone. The weather wasn't great - some rain, but the captain and crew were prepared with ponchos for those who wanted them - and even better kept the drinks flowing and the laughter and fun never stopped. Would absolutely do another event with the Classic Harbor Line.

Both were friendly and excited to get the day started. We took the 2-5pm trip which was beautiful in the Boston summer. The boat was spacious and updated, and the ride was smooth the entire time. Rob knows his fish! In a matter of minutes we caught two large striped bass. We ended with 5 and had one appropriately sized to take home. Rob and dean were friendly and educational throughout. My son had an absolute blast. We ended with a Captain Rob surprise which I won't ruin. Overall a phenomenal experience. Highly recommend this to anyone of any age. We plan to go back out with CJ Victoria in the future.
