This one had a very big bike trail(I was told something around 15 miles), Ofcourse shared by people who is here for a run/hike/walk/picnic etc. Guessing by the signs, looks like there are few spots where you can actually ski. Consists of multiple loops/small trails if you want to walk or hike, both paved and unpaved. I've also located few picnic spots and the scenery at places is quiet refreshing and amazing. A very pleasant get away from the everyday noise, surprisingly you won't even hear any traffic once you are inside(depends how far you are away from the road). The main trail splits into small loops, you'll be fine if you can keep track of these. There's also a dog park as well multiple parking spots across the way based on which side of the trail you are accessing it(I used the one at intersection of Territorial and Fernbrook).

The water was fairly shallow and easy to navigate. It took us maybe 2.5 hours for our kayak trip with beautiful scenery. We saw deer, 2 fawns with spots and a doe. We saw two bald eagles and 1 golden eagle, blue herons, turtles, kingfisher, turkey vulture etc. The parking is free; there is a bathroom where you put in. You need to sign waivers before going. They offer PFDs to everyone; under 18 must wear PFD.

This area is beautiful and we saw many Bald Eagles as we strolled down the Cannon River. I don't think this was too expensive and it was a lot of fun. We had not been kayaking before and my wife was clueless. I had used canoes when I was a kid and had been up to the Boundary Waters, I felt okay. We told the people that it was our first time and without much of any instruction, they put her in the kayak and away she went. I felt like they could have done anything to make her more comfortable. The rental area is a shack, basically. They put you in kayaks and then pick you up in an hour from departure at the pick up point. Look for the large pink rock, that is where you exit the river to be picked up. We had the last time slot with several people overturning and having to empty their kayak, not me, I stayed dry. The people that had to drain their kayak wasted a lot of time and we were late to our pick-up at the end of the day when you know they wanted to go home and start their weekend. I felt bad but it wasn't my fault. This was a fun time. I would recommend that you have some experienced people to help you if you are new at this. The people running this place are not interested in spending time teaching you how to stay dry. That is up to you.

We spent an unforgettable 10 days hiking the (express!) Inca trail to Machu Picchu and visiting Lima, The Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Cusco. I could write 10 pages about how much we loved traveling with Knowmad so I'll try to stick to the highlights. My husband and I usually handle all of our own travel planning, but when we came across Knowmad while researching how to visit Machu Picchu we realized we would probably get a lot more out of a trip to Peru traveling with specialists from the country. Our travel specialists Renee and Shannon found a way for us to do everything we wanted to do (and so much more!) while staying within our budget. They were remarkably thorough with answering my countless questions and we could not have been more prepared for our visit, with very minimal effort on our end. Once we met up with our Knowmad guide, Fernando, in Cusco every day of our trip was amazing and we learned so much about the Inca culture and the Andes while having a ton of fun and going at our own pace. By the time we made it to Machu Picchu it was so much more meaningful because we had an understanding of what makes it such a special and mystical site. The Inca trail was absolutely breathtaking (and I'm not talking about the altitude ) and we couldn't have done it without Fernando as our fearless guide. He looked out for us every step of the way and made us feel like family throughout our time with him. Our trip wouldn't have been nearly so memorable without him. Another highlight was our e-bike ride through the Sacred Valley with our awesome guide Kirvi, who was so kind and on top of making sure we were safe and even getting some awesome photos and videos along the way. Our driver Abraham made us feel so welcome and kept us moving along and safe throughout our trip. The restaurants and hotels Knowmad arranged for us were excellent, and our picnic in the Sacred Valley and Pachamanca experience were unbelievable. Not the greatest experience here…read more To their credit, I was able to buy tires and get them installed (initial date: ~late 2025). Beyond that, however, this experience has been generally frustrating. I had to put my order in over the phone, for their website would not let me order tires fitting the (nonstandard) wheel size on my car. A vehicle selection was required to check out, but my vehicle did not originally come with 18"'s and no online wheel size override was available. During my phone call to place the order, they added and listed off a ton of addons I did not want. When I asked to remove these, I was told they didn't know how and instructed to call back the following "at 7:00 AM, before they place the order," because the morning person would know how to remove things. When I mentioned I had a client meeting at work they said "ask to use the bathroom or something." (they wouldn't make a note in their system, and didn't seem to understand how meetings work). I may still have a personally archived recording of this last part (MN is a one-party consent state for conversation recording). I was able to move things around and call at that 7:00 slot as they requested, and the morning person had no problem updating the order. After that point, I didn't drive the car (hard-top convertible) more than a couple hundred miles over the winter, but found the steering wheel to be vibrating when I got in the vehicle and got going ~50-60 MPH. Rotating the fronts onto the rear moved the vibration, so it feels to be balancing. They suggested the same when I brought this up ("maybe a weight fell off"). Called them back, and they agreed and scheduled me an appointment. Upon arrival today, I handed over my keys and was told that there's a $15-per-wheel cost (which I hadn't been informed over the phone), and this is not covered by the initial install cost. I have reluctantly agreed, for I just want this problem fixed at this point. Hoping that this re-balancing fixes the vibration and I can move forward with my life (without a constant vibration, preferably). Tire was off by an ounce, which seems rather large. That has been corrected theoretically. Hoping for the best, trying to be optimistic :)
