We found this church quite literally by accident (we intended to go to a church in a different town…read morebut ended up in Westborough instead). And we are so glad and grateful that we did! More than a year later, there's still so much to learn and try and all I can say is... this is a very special, alive church. There is so much going on! Now that we have been there a year I am looking forward to the Great Pie Challenge (I had never seen hundreds of apple pies in one place before) and the Cookie Walk to benefit the music program that are both happening in the next few weeks. There are some great adult education opportunities going on all the time (ALPHA is almost always in progress, and that is a terrific thing to participate in) and we also took part in a wonderful group study on marriage and relationships last spring. The church has been around since the 1700 and has an amazing story - and yet don't let that fool you into thinking it's an 'old' church. That is not the vibe at all. I have never seen so much going on in such a small community and with so much forward thinking. It was important to my husband and me that we find a church that was Open and Affirming - and it is - the church's 'tagline' is "We are a community of open doors and growing faith" - 100% true. Wonderful leadership and emphasis on each person growing in their personal relationship with and worship of God...

Having relocated a few times, I usually have trouble finding a church to call home in a new town…read more So I was thrilled to find this first, just down Flanders road from the Residence Inn where we first stayed. Excellent children's programs, and open hearted, down to earth people. I was in women's Bible study here for months and my daughter participated in the Gem's program scheduled at the same time. I made some great friends and connections here. Services are scriptural based, and pastor is quite humble, funny and amiable. My daughter is rather reluctant in New situations, but the games, singing, and art activities drew her in. Now she greets the children's director with a hug every time. Don't miss the Easter Egg Hunt, which is the best I've ever seen! People turn out in droves, but it's extremely well planned and organized. Great free food, games, and activities.

There's a donation box if you can contribute for your meal but it is not required. A different civic group hosts each week and I have to say that the Rotary club really packs them in. The Jr. Woman's club does a great job as well, as does St. Bernadettes, St. Rose, Trinity, and other wonderful local civic groups. A great big THANKS to all of you. Sometimes I watch their Sunday services on the local cable access channel, which I think is wonderful for those who can't make it to service.
