My cousin and I attended the "new member class". During this meeting, we were told by the Pastor --that many of the young adults connect, with him and others, through Social Media (he encouraged us all, to do the same). The following day, we were surprised to find out (by a fellow, new member) that the Pastor decided to exclude us. The reason being that we were quiet and I guess people see us differently? We are slow to warm up, --as we are naturally, very demure and sort of soft-spoken. The situation was off putting but we took it in stride. We loved our new church home, so we just "shrugged" it off, I guess. To our horror and utter embarrassment, -- the Pastor, put in his sermon the following Sunday, that he didn't have to "include or add certain types to the church's/his social Media" and that it's a "privilege for those who choose to open up." Oh, my! We cried that day and never returned. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're a Millennial. It just doesn't translate well to our generation. We found it to be an ok Church although it is inside a school and doesn't really resemble a Church from the outside..a little strange. We found the stories about the meaning of Jesus to be very informative although not too crazy about it being played out on a video projection screen and not live from an actual person in front of you. Also we left the room literally deaf with headaches as they play their video way too loud. I found it hard to sit through it with the volume turned way up high. Now I know why ear plugs are handed out,, weird. In a Church it shouldn't be like that. They do have an actual band that plays and you can sing along with them but then they play the video. The whole thing is very loud. The Helicopter Egg Drop was interesting and found way more people there than originally attended the ticket collection the day before. I guess a lot of people get their tickets more ahead of time and do not have to attend the Church festivities the day before. We couldn't even hear the Helicopter flying overhead as again they were playing Gospel about Jesus and loud deafening music the whole time. They must think people are hard of hearing. Someday we might be back but for now we are in no hurry.

I was surprised to read the other review here because my experience at Grace Church has been so…read morecompletely different. I don't want to discount someone else's experience, but I do want to share mine. I have been attending Grace for about five months, and from the very beginning I have found the people here to be warm, loving, genuine, and welcoming. In a relatively short time, I have made many friends and have truly begun to feel that I belong here. The pastor is an exceptionally gifted teacher. He has a wonderful ability to make the Bible come alive--not simply by explaining the stories and passages, but by helping us understand how they apply to our own lives today. I always leave church feeling inspired, challenged, and motivated to become a better follower of Christ. I have also never experienced the church belittling other churches. The only message along those lines that I remember hearing was an encouragement that, wherever you choose to attend church, you should make sure that church teaches from the Bible. I thought that was both reasonable and wise. Perhaps the most meaningful thing I can say is this: when I first began attending Grace, I would not have described myself as much of a believer. Something changed for me here. Through the teaching, the people I have met, and the welcome I have received, my faith has grown tremendously. I am deeply grateful that I found this church. And to the person who wrote the other review: I am genuinely sorry that your experience was so painful, particularly if it contributed to your losing your faith. If you ever decide to give Grace another chance, I would gladly invite you to sit with me. We could listen to the message together, and perhaps you might experience some of the warmth and encouragement that I have been fortunate enough to find here. For me, Grace Church has been a tremendous blessing, and I am very thankful to be part of this community.

The music is so bloody loud, you can't hear yourself think. The worship team leader is a pompous jerk, the communication leaves much to be desired. If you ask for help, you won't get it. Grace Church is the reason I don't believe anymore.
