Water heater joint (PEX/Copper) began leaking Saturday night. I called this (Blacksburg) office…read more There was no answer, but you could leave a number for a call-back. I did this, and received a call within 30 minutes (from Danville). The scheduler said no one could come out that night, but the plumber would be out between 9 and 11 the next morning. As I had already shut off the water inlets and outlets, bled the pressure, and the pipe was no longer spraying water, this seemed reasonable. At 8:40 the next morning, I received a call from Danville again, telling me that their plumber was off on Sundays, so the soonest they could get out was Monday after 5 PM. I was expecting and prepared to pay after hours / Holiday weekend rates for emergency service when I needed it. I didn't get that. Do not advertise "24/7" service if you aren't able to offer anything even close to that. I did call the Blacksburg office (the number listed in this page) to confirm that they had no availability for today. Not impressed. I'll wait for my regular guy if I'm waiting.

I would highly recommend Flowers Septic service. Tyler is a good and honest business man. The…read moresatisfaction of the homeowner was his #1 priority. I had a septic service from Martinsville come and all they did was complain, charge me $100 more than the price quoted and did not even try to unstop the drain that ran from the house to the septic tank. Tyler had it done in less than 5 minutes (not exaggerating). I call this "old school" business, quality & professional service, reasonable prices, compassion & care for the customer and going above and beyond to satisfy the customer. I know in the future I will call Flowers septic service and recommend them to everyone. Thank you Flowers Septic Service. Lisa S. from Danville, VA.

I am a huge supporter of small businesses and with walmart and other large stores so close, it's nice to see a shop like this doing well. My now husband bought me two initial necklaces from here. One when we were dating w my first initial and another he gave to me the day we for married with my last name initial. During the holidays the shop goes all out decorating and creating a great shopping atmosphere. And the prices aren't any different than you would pay anywhere else. What you can't put a price on is service. When I bought the deer display out of the window the people that worked there all helped me get it in my car and make sure I knew how to assemble the deer. Unlike some places where I would have been given a cart and with my merchandise and sent out the door. Support small business that are doing the right thing and have great items to purchase!

Well, I think there is a reason the store was going out of business. A normal globe was $120. A magnifying glass was $24. The most basic chairs were $96 a piece; not for a set. I was truly shocked with some of the prices; especially with the store going out of business. I can honestly say that you better own an oil company if you hope to make any purchases in this store.

Richard repaired my antique maple bedroom set and completely restored it to almost better than new condition, Normally I wouldn't touch the furniture as it is antique, but years of sun damage had worn away the finish and now it was in a state of deterioration. It looks so beautiful now. Additionally, this same set had two twin beds with the beautifully carved headboards and foot boards... I had him combine them into a queen and it just looks wonderful. Richard is a professional, retired furniture maker, who knows color, proper restoration techniques, and preservation. I highly recommend Richard for any furniture, or wood repairs in your home (doors, kitchen cabinets, etc.) Aside from being top notch quality he has the most pleasant personality.
