To Melissa M: You have no idea what you are talking about. You were not there while my children…read morewere attending Tutor Time and what a terrible experience was for them. Did you even see what occurred when they were there? Were you in the room when the experiences I related happened? Were you privy to the phone calls and messages I received from Tutor Time? No. So you have no right to say I'm making stuff up and call me a liar. Alison and Danielle may be nice to you but they were not to my youngest son. They were very rude and nasty to him and couldn't wait to throw him out. They treated him like absolute dirt. One other thing that I didn't put in my first review is that I called my school district about what to do about my son and his situation at Tutor Time. When one of the directors who has a PhD in education found out that my son was attending Tutor Time of Massapequa, she said "I've had this conversation with them before. Their methods are terrible. The teachers have no training whatsoever. Their only response to when a child doesn't behave is to isolate the child and eventually try to get rid of the child which causes much more harm than good." So it's not just me. Tutor Time has a bad reputation with my school district and they have a low opinion of Tutor Time's methods. Don't tell people to ignore my review because it is a 100% accurate reflection of my children's experiences there and people should know that it isn't the happy, sunny place you insist it is.

Signing our daughter up for tutor time is the best thing we have done for her, and us! We are able…read moreto dedicate our time to our jobs knowing she is in good hands and is safe and having a great time. We love all the staff at Tutor Time and the teachers our amazing. Our daughter has learned so much and it is overwhelmingly noticable how much of a positive impact tutor time has had on her. She is smart and super social. We have met so many amazing parents as well and she has so many friends! The leadership at tutor time is filled with excellent people, they host fun events, have excellent communication with parents and build great relationships with everyone. I recommend Tutor Time to everyone i know. Edited after reading below reviews. In response to the negative review below - This is unbelievably inaccurate and is not at all a representation of Tutor Time. This has not been my experience in the 2+ years my daughter has been there and we have had nothing but positive experiences always. My daughter has a huge personality, super sassy and energetic. She is loved by everyone, the second she walks in the door she is getting hugs from everyone, past teachers come to see her in her class room and we even get to see some of the staff outside of TT bc they love her so much. Big personalities and lots of energy grow and prosper there and to say they are unwanted is very much untrue. Cleanliness is important to them, especially with covid and they are constantly taking the necessary precautions to keep the kids safe. I watch the cameras and they have very specific cleaning routines. My daughter has come home sick only once, for high fever - and she got it from her cousin not from the school. When they called me I was 45 minutes away and it was no problem at all, they were super sweet and took care of her until I could get there. The academic program is great - my daughter comes home every day learning new things. She soaks it up like a sponge and I love how many things they do every single day. There is always reading, writing, math, science - it blew my mind when she started how much she was actually learning. I thought they would spend most of their time playing but they fit in so much! For example just today they did days of the week, months of the year, weather, a fire drill sequence, a science experiment, learned about the ecosystem and counting. To say there is little to no academic instruction is insane and bizarre to me. Lastly, Allison and Danielle are amazing. They are incredibly sweet and love on my kid so much - and we don't have to "suck up" to get that kind of attention. They answer all my emails right away and are always so kind and helpful. They plan the most fun things for the kids and are always trying to do the best for them. I often get to the school early bc my job is so far away and if our daughters teacher isn't on site yet Danielle lets her hangout in her office with her, which is her favorite thing to do in the mornings! Allison sends me cute pics of our girl during the day when she can. They are just the best duo and we are so lucky our kid is in their hands. If you are considering tutor time I would not take that review very seriously.

I like overall this place. Teachers are great. However,…read morethey have gone crazy with the prices. Not only they have an annual "registration" fee on top of your very high, well above average fee, they also increase fees 10% annually. They are trying to upsale... constantly. As parents, we've also felt that the educational program has been top notch, and teachers and other families that attend are very invested in education and creating a nurturing atmosphere. We can't be more happy with this school, and will miss it as the girls transition out.

Instead they fostered a hostile environment, provoked the child (and other children), and spoke in a very unprofessional manner directly to my 4 year old and to myself. They had difficulty maintaining a staff, and lacked consistency in all classrooms. They promised a lot in terms of education and preparation for kindergarten, but offered very little. We switched my child to another school where there is an emphasis on academics and curriculum, and my child is now thriving.

There are some negative reviews here that don't reflect our experience at Goddard. My son has…read moreattended this school since he was 1.5 years old (he's is almost 4). Before daycare, we had an au pair, but we felt he would benefit more from being around other children. Of all the options we explored, Goddard was by far the best choice. The school is safe, clean, and has plenty of outdoor space for kids to run and play, plus an indoor gym for rainy or very cold days. The staff is passionate about their work, maintains strict teacher-to-child ratios, and follows a curriculum that balances fun with learning. We receive photos throughout the day and a helpful en-of-day report. We've been very happy with all my son's teachers over the years. They've made him feel special, encouraged his growth, and helped him form strong friendships. The children motivate one another in such a positive way. Some people mention that tuition is higher than other schools, but we feel it's worth it for the level of care and education provided. You do need to pack lunch and snacks daily, but that's no different from feeding your child at home-and it ensures they'll eat food they enjoy. Coming from NYC, we were expecting long daycare waitlists, so we reached out six months before his start date. To our surprise, we had no issues getting a spot, and he's been enrolled full time since day one. We highly recommend this school.

Where other comparable schools charge $50 for enrollment, Goddard charges $350 non-refundable and then tells you they won't have space for your child. Other schools provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks - at Goddard, despite the tuition being double, there is no lunch provided. If you need to withdraw your child, many schools have a 30-day opt-out clause - Goddard's opt-out clause is 60 days, and you need to be careful because they are extremely vague and unclear when it comes to money. The teachers seemed entirely disinterested in the families and children, the outdoor space is tiny, and the overall environment did not feel welcoming.

As a new mom and new to the neighborhood, I sent my daughter to this daycare because it was so new…read moreand clean looking. I expect my child to get sick (which is nobody's fault) but she was out for 1.5 weeks and the only time the director reached out to me was to ask for payment, not a concern or knowledge that my daughter was out for so long. COVID came along, the owner/directly withheld money from our tuition as cleaning fees and credit. I really did not want to go back but covid was a mess to find new daycares so I let both my children go for the summer to utilize the credit that she withheld from me. They leave their school bags outside in the sun before pick up time, a possible "rodent" or animal chewed through my daughter's bag (I don't care about the bag but it's kinda gross to have rodents crawling my children's belongings) but according to the owner, it's impossible. So it must have been either my pet goldfishes or 3 year old son who chewed it out...since it was "impossible"to have rodents outside their building. Friday was pizza day. I gave pizza money but they miscommunicated somehow and didn't feed my daughter. When I tried to talk to the owner, she put her hand in my face and told me "it would never happen again and I had to drop it". Even if I had forgotten to pay, would it be so terrible to feed a child with the half slice of pizza you ordered if she did not have anything to eat? In the beginning of the summer, the teacher told me my son had an accident in his pants, fine, whatever, it happens with kids. Two months later, they returned a bag of soiled clothes to me. It would have been better if they just tossed it. Send in labeled lip balm and sun screen they say, it will be applied if they go out later in the day. Forget it, by the end of the summer, all my sunscreens were brand new. There were many great teachers that worked here but most have left. It's a beautiful new and clean place with lots of potential to be great, unfortunately, when you only look at $ and not use your heart to care for the children that parents trust you with, it will show right through. I spent a few seasons here because I really wanted to like it, all the parents including myself were ultimately disappointed in the management of this daycare.

My son came home complaining that his teachers were being "mean", at first I was a bit skeptical in believing him, after all he is a young boy and tends to be rambunctious at times, but I had to take notice when he said this 3x in one week. I had to meet the teachers. To begin with, let make this clear, I'm not one to use the "C-word" often, but this experience warrants it. I couldn't believe the condescending tone and rudeness all around. Wow!!! Best advice I can give, find another place for your child. I moved my son out I fear they will make him less confident, and give him anxiety, and keep him from speaking out. PS. I hope everyone sees this, because as you can see from previous (negative) posts, they have staff/family and friends post positive ones to keep this from the top.
