Now that the house failed its second inspection. They're trying to charge me for the rest of the months rent which is $25 more than the $650 it was advertised which I have the ad saved on my phone. They've been out here multiple times and tried to figure out the ac system issue which is why it failed the 2nd inspection. I was just handed a 5 day notice for an outstanding balance. Christina says that Sandra wasn't supposed to let me move in. So this would be on Sandra who's no longer with the company. One leasing agent that works for them told me this was a nightmare of a management company as did their own ac people. Also was told that the leasing agents basically do whatever they want. Hints I guess how I was told I could move in with my portion of the rent AND they gave me the key. I can't help that they are unaware of their employees actions, which Christina was aware as she even asked me on one of my maintenance request calls if I was already in there and if the utilities were in my name and I said yes. That was the beginning of August. I haven't quite decided on what action I am going to take as I was just handed the notice. But I do know my legal rights. Worse thing they can do to me is say I'm trespassing as I have not signed a lease. I have the receipt for my deposit and rent, text messages that confirmed they knew I was moving in before inspection approval with just my portion of the rent paid. The online ad screenshot to my phone that states rent is $650 NOT $675. As it's not my doing the home failed inspection. They finally left alone the difference in August's rent. Constantly sending out maintenance guys over and over to fix things that have already been addressed over a month ago. No one in the office knows what they're doing. Extremely chaotic. If you have felonies/evictions and are just plain trashy and no one else will rent you this is the company for you. Go into their office and see the quality of service you receive and you'll see for yourself. They will call and not leave messages but say they did. Then they say they call but they don't. But throw a fit if I don't call them? They don't answer nor return calls. So leave a message and if it's worth my time I'll contact them. Stop sending random maintenance people to my house! Like I told the OWNER this company is unprofessional, ghetto, has a serious lack in organization/communication skill, let alone the correct information on their own properties. Agents will call to ask what has been said about them and say they'll put an end to the leasing if it isn't corrected. RUN AWAY!

When reading the lease, we had several questions which we promptly emailed to Carlos within 4 hours of receiving the lease. As stated in the lease, you are given 2 days to sign. However, Two Doors Realty ran our time down by only stating that they would "get back to [us] soon" regarding what we had asked. Namely, the house was visibly dirty in several areas as well as two external doors having deadbolts that either would not lock or would not release the key un the unlocked position. The lease also stated that flea treatment was needed for the home if pets were present. I asked Carlos to provide proof that the home was infestation-free as it was clear from a musty odor and a dog toy in the backyard that a previous tenants had dogs, and I must ensure the health and safety of my animal. We were lead to believe Carlos was responding to our questions and that he was waiting on maintenance to respond, despite some questions we asked being questions the leasing office should have some basic knowledge of. We asked on a recorded phone call with the leasing office if we would be given extra time to sign, and the lady on the phone only stated she would message Carlos and let him know. Due to Two Doors Realty's lack of care in a timely response, the time to sign the lease expired and was canceled due to "lack of signatures". Do not apply to a lease with this company, and absolutely do not enter into a lease with this company. If this is how they communicate, or don't, with someone they're trying to get to sign a lease, it leaves much to be desired in imagining how we would be treated as tenants. Disappointing, predatory, unprofessional behavior.

Once we received the lease agreement I began to fill it out reading it thoroughly. I noticed that we were not allowed to hang anything on the walls. Weird, but not a deal breaker. Further in it read that the provided and overly promoted included appliances would not be repaired or replaced if they became inoperable. I called to verify and was told only the stove would be repaired or replaced if it became inoperable. All other appliances had no guarantee and were provided as a convenience. We decided to go a different route since the ad for the property made a big deal of the provided appliances. One of the reasons we rent is because we don't want to be saddled with repairing or replacing appliances or anything else that may go wrong with a property. I emailed the company and text the representative who showed us the property. I wanted to know how to go about getting our deposit back. I was told that the deposit was non-refundable. I asked where that was stated. She said it was in the application. This seems like a deceptive practice. I mean, we weren't given the lease agreement until after we paid the deposit. I was told the deposit was being kept because the owner had missed out on a week of advertising and possible renters. I thought it was a security deposit, not an advertising deposit. Anyway, lease at your own risk. I guess I should have looked up the reviews before assuming this was an upstanding business. I have requested a copy of the application I submitted. I will update next week whether I get a response or not.

Maintenance is an absolute joke unless they enter your home without warning or permission, the house itself is falling apart barely 3 years into a "remodel". Floor panels cracked, bowing up, foundation cracks have shown up ALL OVER the house. They don't use any licensed people to perform work, we had to have a snake drain because we've had issues since moving in and they tried to charge us almost $200, and then when we had a pipe burst they called thier unlicensed plumber maintenance guy to do a crap fix that is still not 100% and happened months ago. Key will raise your rent every year you re sign no matter what, any "emergency" maintenance is actually through the owner who is a rude snob who has 0 knowledge of maintenance and usually takes about 2 hours to respond to a "emergency" Save your money and headache.

In my experience, their practices were misleading and one‑sided, and the contract language heavily favored the company while leaving landlords exposed. Issues that were not clearly explained upfront later became problems, and when concerns were raised, accountability was deflected rather than addressed. I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this property management company, and I feel compelled to warn others. From the start, communication was poor and inconsistent. Important concerns were either dismissed outright or met with delayed, vague responses that offered no real resolution.
