All were full of fresh ingredients, well prepared, and quickly served yet not compromised in any way due to that. Service is attentive. Prices are normal for what you are ordering. There's a good-sized U shaped bar, tables, and booths inside. Yes it's got a lot of TV's all tuned to sports but the volumes are off so you can still enjoy a good meal quietly (except on NFL Sundays). It's a solid watering hole that serves good food. I found the wings to be quite good, and the grilled option was definitely the way to go. I went here for lunch. Ordered shrimp ... believe it was called bang bang shrimp. This was hot as expected. My fault for not reading the menu but it came with a very small portion of coleslaw and that was it ... I'd enjoyed the shrimp but left feeling hungry. My son got fried shrimp which came with French fries. He said they were both very good and there were plenty of each on the plate. He had a beer and I had iced tea. Service was great, greeted immediately and told to take any available table. Some tables but not all have little tv monitors. There are large ones above to watch games. Plenty of parking. Unfortunately I found the place to be forgettable. We showed up after 7:00 pm on a Sunday night after spending the afternoon playing cards at Anthony's. There were about 8 of us and we went there because it was supposed to be so good. Unfortunately it was so cold in there, I was sitting right under a vent, that it spoiled the whole evening. A friend gave me a jacket from their car which I bundled up in, but it didn't help. The help didn't seem to notice or care and the place was empty. I wish I could remember what so I could rate their food but looking at the menu to try to help me is not doing any good. It a shame that an experience like that colors your memory. read more

Being so close and open late makes this place hard to ignore. I've been here twice and both times it was more for the convenience than the food, but the food is above average. I went to watch the Cavs lose to the Celtics (so I was already in a good mood) and ordered a High 5! ... but they ran out of it. Very tragic, I know. After collected myself I kindly asked if there were any other IPA's on draft, I was pointed to their new Kona brew on draft, she brought me a sample and it was most definitely not an IPA, and it frankly was not tasty. I opted for Tito's w/soda and lime, it was strong. For food I asked for their hot garlic wings and paid an extra dollar to have them grilled (they fry then grill them). Not going to lie, I was pretty excited. They came out with celery and ranch and loaded with garlic ( I am a garlic lover so I was ok with this but thought to myself that a non garlic maniac would perhaps think it was too much garlic). Either way I bit in, without ranch, to get the full effect. Thoughts: the sauce is hotter than expected, it's tasty but missing something I can't quite identify, and a bit too acidic, the garlic would be perfect if it was fresh minced but you can clearly tell it's pre-minced and raw pre-minced garlic doesn't quite pass the taste test especially when paired with such an acidic sauce. The wings also were not just lightly charred, several were burned on one side and not the other. Also, very dry, and hard to chew. Maybe the frying and grilling over cooks them but in the end very few were moist or juicy. It gets a bit worse, the ranch sauce was very very bland, almost tasted like pure buttermilk. The waitress was very helpful and accommodating and brought me their Cajun ranch which was much better but still not the greatest. Overall it did not hit the spot as I thought it would. We stopped in here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. My parents who winter here bought a $100 gift certificate and got $50 dollars in bonus money. The weather was nice so we decided to eat out on the patio. The patio is rather narrow and is along the canal that is next to Del Prado. There is a lot of foliage along the waterway and I actually saw an iguana in the trees, that was kind of neat. The service was okay. I thought that the servers that helped us were rather curt. They weren't to friendly but fast. They always seem to be in a rush. I got the boom boom shrimp which is like bang bang shrimp. It was served with a garnish of cole slaw, which wasn't much of anything. The boom boom shrimp was $9.99. I also tried the fried fish with fries for $10.99. The first was average, the tartar sauce had a clove flavor, not sure what that was. The boom boom shrimp was also average. It tasted like fried shrimp with a sauce from a bottle poured on at the end. For the price, the fish entree was a better deal. I would eat here again, but I doubt that I would be the first to say that I wanted to eat there. read more

Took two of my friends for lunch at First Round Draft because they had never been there and I wanted them to try something different. And, they loved it!! We had a booth and plenty of room. All of our meals were very good and the desserts were to die for!! Our waitress was super nice and saw to it that every thing was served in a timely manner. As for the gals, they can't wait to return for another positive experience!! Did I happen to mention that all of us are way over 70 years old? We like coming here as it one of the few restaurants which can be reached by boat in the canals of Cape Coral. No need to go out on the river if your boat is on the canal in SE. After docking you ascend a flight of stairs. The restaurant has a patio overlooking the canal but unfortunately not enough seating due to space constrictions. They obviously have a steady local clientele as the bartender called many by name. There is inside seating as well with a nice U shaped fully stocked bar and booths and tables. Probably popular in the hot summer, but we chose to sit outside. Once we saw a manatee from there and iguanas are spotted too occasionally. The food is well priced and good. My chefs salad was loaded and at 8.99. Same with sandwiches and burgers. We were a party of 5 and everyone was happy. We were greeted by a women with brown hair, glasses & vibrant green nails. She was nice. Told us to sit where we wanted. We apparently sat in the wrong section. She wiped a table, talked to her 2 of the 4 tables she had and stood around chatting. 4 tables walked in after us and sat in the section with the server with glasses/brown hair. She had 9 tables. The blonde looked at us multiple times and just acted like we were not there. So after waiting 15 mins we got up and left. Blonde just looked at us. I was a server for many years, all she had to do was acknowledge us and say I will be right there and actually serve. I won't be back. Parents who live in town wont be back. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally went today. The weather was perfect for sitting out and enjoying lunch. The outside deck is more of a bar with a few tables but we were very comfortable and enjoyed the view. We started with the beer battered mushrooms, which were excellent. My husband got the pulled pork. He loved it. I got the tuna salad stuffed tomato. The tuna salad was very good but a bit drier than I prefer. The tomato really needed another couple days of ripening. There are numerous sea walls along the Honolulu Canal that have been damaged by Hurricane Irma, and pushing a big wake is damaging to those homes and residents. Also, it happens to be a super popular spot for the local water cops to patrol, so make sure your revelry is limited to the bar, not the boat, or you'll find yourself in trouble with the local law! We've met so many friends there! My wife has vision problems but they have TVs all over- even in the restroom. On the tables, they have speakers so you hear only your game. Simple right, the hamburger was beyond well done, to the point it was crispy on the edges. I asked the waitress three times if this is medium she told yes and left.
