SUMMARY Ultimately…read morePathway Community Church made me repeatedly feel like widget product going down a state-of-the-art assembly line. I'm just needing less corporation and production and more Christian spiritual growth opportunities and authentic relationships. DETAILS Pastor Ron is a great encourager and teacher from the pulpit. I have never met him. I like how his sermons use the Bible but he also curates insights from other Christian authors. In a way, Pastor Ron seems separate from all the rest of the "weekend experience" glitz and very high production brand of Pathway. The building is top notch, the music is primo... meaning the outward facade and consumer part of it is totally first class. But I've never been greeted by one single person in the church other than the volunteers standing at the door, and frankly that is nice, but that's their job. No one really seriously urges you to grow with God other than Ron encouraging you to read a book he recommends or stopping by Next Steps in the overcrowded lobby. If you take the initiative to ask about various things or take any sort of non pre-programmatic "next step" the answers I receive are always, "A different person is in charge of that now, let them get back to you" or, "We are going through some changes with that." Seems like Pathway is constantly reinventing itself, restructuring, re-examining it's mission and who is delegated to do what. If you don't fit into a widgetized process either as a participant or initiator, Pathway totally breaks down. Their leadership / structure feels like analysis paralysis. Maybe Pathway is too big, too much like a corporation... friendly, positive, but feels like a machine, an efficient assembly line. If you want to slip in to either the downstairs or upstairs sanctuary, not be greeted, sing along to some pitch perfect music with blinding LED lights and a fog machine, hear an encouraging message and slip out... this is the church for you. If you want to go be part of authentic community, be really stretched to grow spiritually in your walk with Christ, then you might be as disappointed as I was. I think it's revealing that Pastor Ron recently laid out like the next 4 months of sermons in great detail. Maybe some people like knowing where the ship is headed, but when your worship leader (who is quite gifted and seems genuinely passionate about the Lord) has the title of "Director of Weekend Experience" it just underscores, this is a high-production, plan months in advance machine. I really hope if the Holy Spirit any given Saturday or Sunday said to change direction that Pathway leadership would be willing to or even could logistically shift with that much production inertia, pre-planning and armies of volunteers already in motion. God can bless a big church or a small one, but I can't imagine Pathway could pivot easily with anything or respond to new opportunities quickly. There are a few churches (Sardis and Laodicea) in Revelation 2-3 who had the outward appearance of having it all together, but being over confident or not aware of their true condition. The Lord called them to wake up from being dead or complacent or self sufficient. I hope Pathway Community Church isn't like that. I want to underscore that every leader at Pathway Community Church seems to love the Lord and is working super hard, no fault there, it's just collectively it is like a corporation. Our enemy is the one who accuses, that's not my job, but I hope someone from Pathway will take this review to heart.

I have been a member of this parish since mid 2007. It is a very active, lively, friendly,…read morehelpful, pious parish led by Monsenior John Kuzmich, who has been pastor here for many years (more than 10?), and a newly ordained (June 26, 2010) "Parochial Vicar" Fr. Andrew Budzinski (the best "rookie" priest I've ever seen! He's a Notre Dame graduate, and was the cheerleading "Leprechaun" for a while). The Mass schedule is: Sunday 7:15AM, 9:00AM, 11:00AM, 12:45PM, 6:00PM("Life Teen Mass"), Mon, Wed, Thurs 6:30AM, 8:00AM, Tues 6:30AM, 5:30PM, Fri 8:00AM, 5:30PM (Note: The 6:30AM and 5:30PM Masses are in the Spiritual Center's Chapel. All the others are held in the main church. The Mass schedules may vary, so check online at www.saintv.org. Weekend Masses are accompanied by our music director, Tony Andorfer, and his choir/musicians. There are many many active organizations within the parish. The Knights of Columbus are very active. I'm a member of one of the "Small Christian Community" (SCC) groups who meet twice a month at various member's homes to pray and socialize. All are welcome, come and join us!!!

The first thing you will note is the size! It is one of the largest parishes in Fort Wayne. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during the popular masses and especially holidays. It is a beautiful church that has continued to grow its family and improve the campus.

life changing decision coming to ITOWN! Been a believer most of my life yet true relationship…read moredidn't come until we found ITOWN! My kids love coming every week and I can't imagine not having this church family in my life!!

I CANT WAIT TO GO TO CHURCH! By Bruce Bisel…read more I look forward to going to church every seven days. That day is the most important day of any week to me. Why? Because we get to approach our creator, God. We get to pray to Him, collectively, expecting to be blessed with healing and success in life. We get to praise Him. You may say that, "We can do all that at home." Sure. But, we never do. When was the last time you praised God some where, besides in church? We need the comradery of others. It is SO much more meaningful to us to worship with others than, it is alone. I used to be shy in worship. I did not raise my hands o God or say, "Amen." I did not get excited in church. I kept my praise solemn. (grave, serious with no smiling, jumping, raising of hands or clapping) I did not go around shaking hands. (no wonder when strangers think we are unfriendly) The only one that could hear my quiet voice was God. I did not clap my hands in praise. I was afraid some one would think, "I am a fanatic." You may ask, "What has changed you?" I stopped worrying about what others think about me. Now, I am concerned about what GOD thinks of me. Now I am accompanied by other worshipers, who sing loud. (so loud that no one but, God would ever hear my little voice. Now my hands are way up in the air, in prayer (reaching for God) when we pray collectively. (I Timothy 2:8) And so many hands are up in the air; (almost every body) Nobody would notice my two hands in the air. You might say, "There is no church like that." My church is The I-Town Church. The I stands for it's original location. (Indianapolis, Indiana) Now, there are two other location. I worship at the Bluffton, Indiana location. When I arrive to church, a greeter meets me at the beginning of the driveway. At the parking lot, more greeters direct me to my parking spot. At the doors, more greeters welcome me into church. Once I'm inside, I can get a drink or a snack. Then I enter the worship auditorium. The second worship service has already started. Every hand is up in prayer and praise to God. The worship band leads us in praise songs. The guests are welcomed. Prayer is ed. A two minute pause is extended to greet one another and give a warm welcome to every one. And a sermon is preached. At the end, confession of sins (Luke 13:3;) and faith in Jesus (John 3:16;) are offered to all, who need it. Then one last song before praise service is over. After that, there are several baptisms. (every four weeks) This is a typical Sunday praise service. And I am so proud to be an active member of The I-Town Church.
