Seems like a nice church. With one flaw most churches have the people that go there. Very sure they…read moreare nice and friendly people. The issue is that they are comfortable around the people they know, but when a new person or someone that clearly is not a member. They like most people do not feel comfortable having to engage that person. I do not go to this church but my teenage son attends. I have picked him up from youth group many times. The same thing occurs most of the time. There are adults in groups talking to each other. I walk up to the group and do not want to interrupt. Or individuals standing around. I'm pretty sure they know I do not attend, or at least is someone looking for something do to my body language and movement of my head and eyes looking around for my son. But they just keep talking to each other, one or two may make eye contact and we smile at each other, and that's it they go right back talking to the people they are with. God has tasked us all (Christians) to go out and make more disciples. Which yes I understand that most people do not feel equipped to do this. But as a church member it is your job to help increase the members of your church by engaging people (that do not attend) so that they may want to attend a service. Witch gives your church family and your pastor a chance to increase god's disciples. Think of all the people in the bible and all the things they did that where out of their comfort zone or even more extreme. I can see why churches are having a hard time. Come on people take the chance and be brave engage that stranger say hello. You may see it as you just don't feel comfortable engaging a stranger. But think on this. That stranger make take your inaction as being aloof, or worse. They are in your church so they most be there for a reason. Do leave them hanging
