I don't write many reviews, but after the outcome of my case, I felt David Russomanno deserved one…read more I am an attorney myself, so I am extremely particular about who I trust to represent me. This was also not an ordinary legal matter. It was a highly contested dual restraining order case with significant personal and professional consequences for me, and the outcome was extremely important. I was the person who originally filed for a restraining order. After my petition was filed, the other party filed a competing restraining order request against me. In my view, the other petition essentially took many of the issues and allegations I had raised, mirrored them back against me, and created a false and misleading narrative portraying me as the wrongdoer. Suddenly, I wasn't just pursuing my own restraining order--I also had to defend myself against serious allegations that I knew were not true. Being an attorney didn't make that easier. In some ways, it made it more difficult. When someone is making false statements about you and your reputation and career are potentially at stake, your instinct is to respond to everything and immediately correct every misrepresentation. This is where David's representation really made a difference. From the beginning, David had a strategy and a plan. He understood that we couldn't simply react to every accusation the other side made. We needed to take control of the narrative, establish the chronology of what actually happened, identify the inconsistencies in the competing petition, organize the evidence, and present the complete story to the court. As a lawyer myself, there were certainly times when I had my own ideas about how we should respond or what we should emphasize. But I also recognized that I was personally invested in the case and needed someone who could remain objective. I trusted David's judgment, followed his guidance, and allowed him to execute the strategy we had developed. That trust paid off. When it came time for the hearing, we were prepared. David was able to cut through what could easily have become a confusing "he said/she said" situation involving two competing restraining order petitions. David was able to join the cases before the first hearing date. Then at the hearing he first succeeded in modifying the other party's temporary orders by presenting the evidence and sequence of events in a way that allowed the court to understand what had actually occurred and see through the false narrative being presented against me. After David modified the temporary order the other party wanted a 2nd call to speak to David and he persuaded the party to drop their restraining order. Looking back, I have an even greater appreciation for David's strategy. He wasn't concerned with winning every small argument or reacting emotionally to every allegation. He was thinking several steps ahead and positioning the case so that when it mattered most--in front of the judge--we were ready. As a fellow attorney, I understand the difference between simply knowing the law and knowing how to strategically litigate a difficult case. When you're personally involved, however, maintaining that same objectivity becomes incredibly difficult. David provided that objectivity while also understanding just how important the outcome was to me. This case had enormous personal and professional importance to me. I put my trust in David Russomanno's judgment, preparation, and strategy, and he delivered the result we were working toward. As both a client and a fellow attorney, I highly recommend David. If you are dealing with a complicated or highly contested restraining order matter--particularly one involving competing allegations--you want someone who can look beyond the accusations, focus on the evidence, develop a strategy, and effectively present the true story to the court. That's exactly what David did for me.

I hired David after a California domestic violence restraining order petition was filed against me…read moreby a family member. I live out of state, had never been in this type of situation before, and was terrified--not only because of the court process, but because of the possible professional consequences if the case went badly. The first law firm I hired reviewed the facts and essentially concluded that I was probably going to lose. I then found David, and from the very first conversation, it was clear he saw the case differently. He did not minimize the situation or sugarcoat anything, but he immediately understood that there was more going on than what appeared on paper. He had a command of the procedural issues, the courtroom dynamics, and the strategy in a way that gave me confidence when I had almost none left. What stood out most was that David was not just technically excellent--he was creative, strategic, responsive, and genuinely caring. He understood my state of mind, took my fears seriously, and explained his plan in a way that made me feel protected rather than judged. He was always available when I needed him and treated the case with urgency and humanity. In the end, my mother and I did not even have to fly to California or appear remotely. David appeared for us, spoke directly with the other side at court, and by the time the matter resumed, the petitions against both of us were dropped. That result was an enormous relief. I went from believing I was about to lose everything to walking away with the case dismissed. David is the kind of lawyer people hope exists when they are scared and overwhelmed--the kind of lawyer you see in movies but do not expect to find in real life. I am incredibly grateful that I called him and trusted him.

I cannot recommend Ardalon enough.  I found myself, unexpectedly, on the receiving end of a…read morerestraining order request.  I was completely surprised, frightened, overwhelmed and anxious, trying to figure out what I would need to do to go to court and try to prove this restraining order request was without merit.  (the person had made up some pretty nasty and violent lies about me, and if the restraining order request were granted, it would most likely have led to me losing my job as we work together). I called and met with several other lawyers before speaking with Ardalon. Some told me my case would be very difficult.  Others said they were confident they could win but didn't give me any explanation of how.  To be honest, it didn't even seem like they fully understood the details of the case as I had described it, they were just focused on getting me to sign a retainer agreement and we could talk about case details later.   Then I found Ardalon on Avvo.com. Ardalon not only listened attentively and understood every detail I described, but was able to immediately and compellingly articulate how, specifically, he would go about mounting our defense. He quoted a fair price and we signed our retainer agreement.  Ardalon was extremely attentive and communicative throughout our entire time working together.  He went above and beyond both in his preparation for the case, and in the court room. Ardalon always explained everything that he was doing, made sure I had opportunities to offer my input.  He was happy to incorporate any ideas I had he felt could help our case, and he was honest enough to tell me when my ideas would not be helpful in court.  He is extremely intelligent and clearly very experienced. I went from feeling nervous to very confident almost immediately as we started working together. Ardalon was exceptionally well prepared for our court appearance, but I was even more impressed when some unexpected information and new documents were introduced while in court, and Ardalon, with only 15 minutes to review the new documents, was actually able to use the documents presented as evidence against me to further prove my innocence.   Ultimately the case went exactly as Ardalon had predicted it would on our first phone consultation and we won. Although I hope never to end up in a situation like this again, if I ever do have to go to court, Ardalon is definitely the lawyer I'll be calling. I highly recommend Ardalon to anyone in need of a great defense lawyer.

452 Days Later -- Ticket Dismissed! Thank You, Robert Hakim!…read more I wanted to share my experience with Attorney Robert Hakim because I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my traffic case. On July 12, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., I was driving on Pacific Coast Highway toward Topanga Beach to go surfing when I received a speeding citation in a posted 25 mph zone. For most people, a speeding ticket is an inconvenience. For me, it was a much bigger concern because I hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), which I used to transport hazardous waste for my business. With the high cost of commercial truck insurance, I couldn't afford to take unnecessary chances with my driving record. I contacted Robert Hakim, who explained the legal process and assured me that he would handle the court appearances on my behalf. My first arraignment was March 19, 2026, and my final court date was October 7, 2026. That's approximately 452 days from the original citation! On the morning of the final hearing, I received a text saying the officer who issued my ticket was present in court. I was extremely nervous, especially considering the recent tragic accident on PCH in Malibu. About an hour later, another text arrived: The ticket had been dismissed! What a relief! I have no idea exactly how Robert managed to get the citation dismissed, but I'm certainly grateful for his work and the outcome. Yes, the process took a long time, but Robert handled the court proceedings, and I didn't have to appear myself. His fee was well worth it, especially considering what a conviction could have meant for my commercial driving record and insurance. I also learned a valuable lesson about watching speed limits along PCH. With all the construction and workers in the area, it's important to slow down and pay attention. If you're considering hiring an attorney for a traffic citation, I would absolutely recommend Robert Hakim. Professional representation, a successful outcome, and money well spent. Thank you, Robert!

In my situation, I was looking at the worst possible situation as a first-time DUI offender. Thankfully, Attorney Gold got me the best outcome possible given my situation. Aside from the court outcome, which can be mitigated after a couple of years, his true impact was everything outside of the court. The work and input he expected from you forced me to face some realities I was not ready to face, but had to, given the situation I had put myself in. Although he is direct and holds you to the utmost responsibility, he was always there for me and always kept me level-headed, especially during the court date. Thanks to his hard work and tough love, I see my situation in a much more positive light, one in which I have grown so much, given my dire situation If you need an Attorney, get Mr. Gold; he will fight tooth and nail for you with honesty, conviction, but more importantly, empathy.

From the very first phone call, Jeff took his time to hear about my whole situation and was straightforward while talking me through what to expect, including the steps I needed to take on my end and how he would work on my behalf with both the court and DMV. It's immediately clear he gives his all to help his clients. Jeff stayed on top of my case throughout the process with regular phone calls to check in. For the best possible outcome, you've got to put in the work too. Despite being arrested in a very strict county (Ventura) with 2 enhancements (very high BAC and traffic collision), he worked a miracle for me. This involved diving into AA meetings and fellowship, and voluntary SCRAMx before my first (and ultimately only!) court appearance. There's still a ways to go before this is behind me, but I'm not in jail and my life is manageable. Hopefully I never need these services again, but if I did I would definitely retain Atty Jeff again.
