Unfortunately, I now rely on the card they issued for access to my money, and they pause it…read moreMULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK. I regret my decision to open an account with First Community more than any other business-related decision I can think of, with the possible exception of that time I signed up for Vodafone internet service while in Germany. Their services have made my life miserable. I am constantly in a position where I go to use my card and suddenly it doesn't work. Often the reason will be that a couple of subscriptions removed their monthly ten-dollar fee, and that was flagged as suspicious. It then falls on me to investigate and fix everything. After recently purchasing a plane ticket to Vietnam as well as travel insurance, I filled out a lengthy visa application and tried to pay the amount of $50. From where I live in Missouri. Not $500, and not inside of Vietnam. $50. From the visa website of the Vietnamese government. Naturally, the payment was rejected by the bank, just like my monthly subscriptions are, just like my digital purchases of movies and books are. They act like it's not a big deal, but it is an enormous imposition. I plan on terminating my relationship with this outfit as soon as I can. In the case of my visa, after that one rejection, the website kept auto-rejecting my card. I wasted close to five hours and ultimately had to hire a visa agent to take care of it for me. Now I am set to travel to Asia, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that First Community will leave me stranded there. Not once, but repeatedly. I am sure of it. There will be a time in the near future when I desperately need my money, they will deny me access, and I will have no way of getting in touch with them. My only hope is that I will not be sleeping under a bridge with the rats. This financial institution is the absolute worst. Maybe if you're a kid who needs a place to deposit your money from your part-time grocery store job, or you need a mortgage for a small home in Ellisville and never plan to set foot outside of Missouri. But as soon as I am able, I am going to a for-profit commercial bank rather than this credit union, because experience has taught me that it is preferable to this level of incompetence.

STAY AWAY! I have never dealt with such rude women in my life. My husband went into this location…read moreafter he was written a check from a local hotel for a renovation we were contracted to do. Anyways the check was reimbursement for materials and was for $12,300. The lady asked if he had an account and he said no I bank at commerce, but I was driving by and figured I would just cash it here rather than waiting for it to clear my bank. Anyways the lady tells him banks don't keep that much money on hand, then second, tells him that the check probably wouldn't clear anyways...First of all she never even entered the company's account number to know that information, they are a chain hotel and we have NEVER had a problem with their checks, it was absolutely ridiculous. They refused to cash it, gave him attitude, he thinks because he was in his work clothes and had paint and plaster on him, needless to say he was treated very poorly. He came out to the car and told me what happened so I went inside and confronted the 2 women that were in there and this over weight blonde starts yelling at me that they aren't cashing that check, that we don't bank there, and I asked her. " why are you so rude?" I then contacted the owner of the hotel who then went to his online regions banking app and he screen shot his account balance to me and told me to tell them he would be closing his account the next morning seeing as they wouldn't cash his check and these ignorant women were loudly saying in the bank that his check wouldn't clear. I have never dealt with more unprofessional people in my life. I still don't understand why they were so rude and hateful to my husband and then to the both of us. Don't bank here. We own a hotel renovation business and work hard for our money and I will take my business elsewhere. Also the owner closed his account the next morning and is still upset about the whole thing.

Top quality banking. Friendly service and professional demeanor by all the staff who work there…read more I've always left happy. I would recommend working with Cody. He has always been there for financial advise since I started banking at Regions.

Although most of the staff is friendly, it seems that when something goes wrong, all they can do is…read moreapologize and barely do anything to fix it. Even if the error takes days to fix, such as the time the ATM ate my money... I had to dispute it and it took days. It's okay, I only had shop rent due. I have had the weirdest, freak problems with my account, and it always seems like no one quite knows how to fix the issue RIGHT NOW. One example- I had a class reunion bbq I was planning. Everyone prepaid. I took all their money and put it into a visa giftcard/bank card so I could keep it all together. The card said 'debit' on it, which was a relief when I was planning a trip to Sam's club to get the supplies, as they only accept debit. I called the hotline to request a PIN and had to make several calls since the website the girl was referring to in order to get the pin wasn't working... Finally I called this branch and was informed that although the card they sold me (yeah, it was $5!) SAID debit on it, it wasn't a debit card and I would have to pay a substantial amount to take the money off the card and turn it back into cash. It would also take 2 weeks. This was 2 days before the reunion. It was a total mess. My husband ended up giving me the cash and taking the card so he could just use it at the gas pumps. Some of the craziest stuff, I tell ya! Then there are the funny fees. My personal banking would cost $7 a month if I hadn't agreed to NOT write checks or use the tellers. Which is fine, usually, but not so fine when they ATM that I have to use eats my money or is in some other way malfunctioning. Then there's my business bank account that I am only allowed to do a certain amount of transactions on... (8 per month, I think...) Each deposit is a transaction, each check deposit is a transaction, a transfer, a check written... each credit card payment someone makes at my shop... sigh... and if you do too many transactions, they charge you a few per transaction. (Was it $.50 or a dollar, I cant remember) How many businesses do you know that make less than 8 monetary transactions a month? Now, I have a whole other account just to funnel my money through and make deposits all at once. It's like I'm constantly playing Tetris with my money. Good thing I am anal. I know the issues I am describing aren't really branch issues, per say, but broken ATM's and staff that can't seem to fix stuff might be. Honestly, if this location was not so darn convenient, and my husband and I didn't have multiple accounts with them, I probably would switch banks, but then again, I have been with Commerce for a few years, God knows what kind of mess another bank would be. :(

Commerce bank is a joke. Their motto is something about 'helping small businesses". I am still banking with them because it is close to my home. BUT, they do not cater to businesses like they make you believe. They have business relation experts that cannot do anything to help solve a problem For ex: my business has 4 ameren bills. I want to pay all 4 on auto pay using online banking. Commerce will only let me pay two of them with auto pay..the other two - i have to wait for the bill and then pay online. This rents space in my brain - i dont have time for this! There are other things times that i have found their ASk. Listen. Solve to be a BIG joke. Dont bank with this bank!
