I listed the website wrong it's actually https://www.hpbank.us ....I banked here for over 20 yrs when it was State Guaranty Bank and watched it slowly get upgraded, mostly with the drive thru. I closed my accounts when I moved and just recently opened an account with a trucker friend of mine so I could pay his bills when he was out on the truck. This is when I found out about the change. I love that there are some of the same employees still there that know me by name. I was able to open the checking account at the first window inside..then received the debit card in the mail 4-7 days later (no they don't give you the cards the same day you open your account). They also have online banking now too!! This has always been such a wonderful bank and I love the way small town businesses know you by name. When it was State Guaranty, the customers would get newspaper clippings of themselves on a laminated card in the mail adding just another special touch to the care they show...I don't know if they do that now, but it would be nice if they still did.

I called on Monday to verify funds and was told the check was good. When I mentioned cashing the check I was told I could not because it was over $1000. I had to drive 40 miles and meet the customer at the bank to get cash. Cost me several hours of time and gas money to get the money I was owed. I wont be taking anymore checks no matter what. I always say "no good deed goes un-punished". I guess that's very true with Cornerstone.

Everyone is nice and helpful, but all of them seem like their in a hurry or they've got other important things to do and the customer is more of a bother (that's the feeling I get from them). We usually use the drive thru window unless we have to go in and renew a loan or something. There is lots of parking, mainly behind the building. There is also an ATM in the drive thru and they hand out dog biscuits for your furry friend. I've closed my accounts here because I like Cornerstone Bank better but my family still banks here so I continue to come. Hopefully, they'll work on their people skills a little more.

Their fraud service has caught many unauthorized purchases and immediately contacted me. I love knowing where I bank has my back when thieves steal my card number or quickly shut my card down when I've lost them issuing me a new card in a very timely manner.
