Ms. Blockuhvich knew that my accounts were in good standing with good credit, so naturally, I asked for a lower rate from 7 1/2 to 4 percent; she agreed after speaking to her 'board'! After eleven months of saying yes, but I have been so busy, or out of town, etc., the closing date for the new lower rate never happened. So I paid off my loan and gave her the option to reimburse me the eleven months that she promised at the lower rate of 3 1/2 percent or risk me moving all of my money and accounts out of Chappell Hill Bank. She excused herself to go and talk to her 'BOARD' and came back and said, we won't honor our word and will not pay you the 11,000 dollars. I told her my business was over here, and within two business, days I moved the bulk of my funds out. If you can't trust your banker at their word, then you can trust them at all--end of the story. First thing I noticed was it was very neat, quiet, smelled good and everyone looked busy. Someone walked up to me and immediately greeted me. I was very quickly whisked into an office where a young man very efficiently notarized my documents. Pleasant conversation and then I was out the door. Then she looked at the next customer in line and said "NEXT". How lovely. Drove down to the Fayetteville Bank and was treated respectfully where my $100 bills were exchanged for smaller bills that I could spend in beautiful La Grange.
