As a wedding coordinator, I'm always a little skeptical when working with new vendors because you never know what to expect in terms of professionalism, communication, and work ethic. Brandon exceeded every expectation. He was incredibly easy to work with, provided great direction during photos, and helped create a fun, relaxed atmosphere throughout the day. His sense of humor and lighthearted personality made the experience enjoyable for both the couple and the vendor team. From what I've seen on social media, his work is absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to see the full gallery from our event. The photos came in the exact time she quoted us but the edits look like pictures taken and edited off an iPhone. Not happy with them. I had to re-crop and edit majority of all photos as best I could as all the edits completely washed out our skin tone, the colors of the sky etc. I asked for the raws so I could just edit them myself from scratch and it's been 2 weeks and still haven't received them. Didn't remind us or inform to take phones/wallets out of pockets so those just look lovely in all our photos **sarcasm**. Book with someone else who knows what they're doing and takes their time on special memories like this. Updating my review! Got some of the raws back a day after making my review, which was nice of her to send as she said she didn't usually do so, but the quality of the photos look like they were taken on an iPhone..it was nice to see some of the photos that didn't come through as finals. Aside from how the photos came out, the one positive was that Anel was easy to communicate with and nice overall!!

Although I generally prefer not to post negative criticism, the profound disappointment regarding…read moreour wedding photography has stayed with me for the past two years. I am deeply saddened by the outcome of the photos provided by this company. We were initially promised a specific photographer, 'Josh,' based on his recommended portfolio. However, only one week before our wedding, we were assigned 'Anel,' whose work we had never seen. On our wedding day, the level of professionalism and quality of work was unacceptable: Lack of direction: There was little to no guidance on posing or lighting. The photographer made comments like, 'What was that?' or 'What's that face?' instead of providing constructive direction. Poor Technical Execution: Many family photos feature heavy, unflattering shade cast across faces. Across the entire collection, there is only one usable, direct shot of my husband and me facing the camera. Absenteeism: During the cocktail hour, which we hired the photographer to cover, the photographer was found sitting in the dressing room instead of actively taking candid photos of our guests. I actually had to seek out the photographer to initiate coverage of the event. Frankly, the final delivered collection lacked the quality and professional execution we would expect from a paid vendor. It felt like paying a friend to snap photos, not a professional with an understanding of lighting and composition. A further point of concern: not a single photo from our wedding has ever been featured on the company's website or social media. We anticipated a high level of work based on the company's advertised portfolio, and what we received fell far short of that professional standard.

I just got my first professional headshots taken, and I'm telling you right now: go to Nick…read more Before booking, I spent months researching photographers. I scoured Yelp, Google, websites, you name it. Looking back, my biggest regret is wasting all that time when I should have just booked with Nick from the beginning. I was honestly nervous going in. I've never had professional photos taken before, and my biggest fear was that I wouldn't know how to pose, smile, or look natural in front of the camera. Nick made all of those worries disappear almost immediately. He has over 20 years of experience working with professionals, corporate clients, and models, but what impressed me most wasn't his resume. It was how he made me feel. Nick has a way of making you feel seen, heard, and comfortable. He guides you through the entire process without making you feel self-conscious, and somehow brings out the best version of you. I booked the $179 package with one outfit, and Nick ended up giving me around 70-80 photos to choose from. No watermarks. His retouching prices are very reasonable, and he even takes the time to help you decide which photos best communicate the image you're trying to project. And for anyone worried about parking, his studio is in Little Italy and I was able to find a two-hour street parking spot right across the street on a Wednesday around noon. What you're paying for here isn't just photos. You're paying for someone who knows how to coach you, find your best angles, and help you show up as your best self. That kind of guidance is invaluable, especially if you're not used to being in front of a camera. The photos turned out great, but honestly, what stayed with me was Nick himself. He's caring, passionate, interesting, and genuinely invested in the people he works with. In a world where it's easy to feel like just another client, Nick makes you feel like a person. He knows what he's doing, and it shows. I would absolutely go back, and I'll be recommending him to anyone who needs professional headshots. Go book a session with him now.

SD Headshots nails my first rule of business: make it easy to say yes and buy. I booked on their website, had no trouble finding parking a block from the studio in Little Italy on a weekday. Nicholas is first of all a great person who is fun to talk to. He explained the process very clearly and had me out of there quickly for less than the package I originally booked. They sent all the photos they took within 24 hours, not watermarked, for your use. For the package I was charged for: I had to choose 2 for retouch, and they kindly offered to help narrow it down. I chose a more casual look and a more formal look, I was able to select one casual (it's my profile photo here on Yelp) and shortlisted three formal ones and emailed them back -- they chose the best of those and sent back the retouches within a couple days. The formal look ended up on my website and LinkedIn and several colleagues messaged or texted within hours to tell me how great they looked. The more casual one went on social media, which I spend almost 0 time on, and overwhelmingly the immediate feedback I received was how great it looked. I was blown away with how well this worked out, and Nicholas will be my go-to photographer going forward. Thank you, San Diego head shots for making this process painless, very reasonably priced, and exceeding all my expectations.
