Clearly an economy hotel. Good location - just blocks from Karlstad market center…read more Limited common areas makes it difficult to sit anywhere outside the room. The small area near reception desk was already filled and my friend was asleep in the room; I had nowhere to sit and read. Breakfast area (3rd floor) was locked Food: Breakfast was not good. Bread cereal, meat, cheese, eggs, bacon, and beverages. Bacon was chewy and the scrambled eggs were just nasty. They had a sour taste, texture was off, and it made me gag. Others had the same comment. Coffee also tasted funky. Bread/cheese combo was passable. Rooms: Tiny and bit dirty. There was some hair in the bathroom when we first entered. The toilet, sink, and shower are all next to each other on the same level. Using the shower causes water overflow in the whole bathroom. Only 1 key and 1 towel set provided for a room reservation for 2. Extra key provided on request. Bottom Line: More of a hostel than a hotel but location is great. Stay here only if willing to compromise on comfort/space. Breakfast can be acquired elsewhere.
