Very sad :( slow with no workers. Very nice workers and facility but unfortunately not enough employees to accommodate the customers.

This location is at the corner, next to Longs Drugs, where the American Savings Bank used to be. The mall parking gets pretty full during peak hours, but there's always stalls at the very end on the side where HawaiiUSA is. I went here to deposit some checks. The layout here is very open. That's the first thing you notice when you open the door to go inside. There are computers for you to use to check your account and/or to look up anything on their banking site. When I got to the front of the line, I was acknowledged immediately and was able to go to the open teller. They are fast, efficient, and friendly. I also come here to get notaries. If you are an account holder at the bank, you can get free notaries - max two a day. While I was waiting for the Notary Public, there is a nice waiting area where you can watch the TV news and sit on some comfy chairs or couch.

I have a Stellar credit score, plenty of funds, 20 years of on time payments, yet cannot get overdraft because my S-Corp returns show a loss due to deductions and a stock sale loss write off. Even though I received $200k inheritance & paid $19k in taxes, they say I show negative income. Wtf. Makes me think they just like that sweet OD $$$ too much.

I keep hearing that schools do not teach our kids about finances and as a parent I believe that's…read moreone of the most important things in life we all should be educated on. So I did my research and found so many great things about Pearl Hawaii FCU that my kids can learn from. The first thing that attracted me to them is their TEEN checking account. An account that offers a debit/credit card with a limit on daily spending. Honestly, I think even as adults we should be given limits on our daily transactions. I am hoping they will continue to consider this when they graduate into adult accounts. There is no monthly fees for having the debit/credit card but like any financial institution they are to keep a minimum balance in their accounts. The next thing I liked about this credit union is that they do shared branching. We used to live in Vegas therefore our kids have a savings account at an FCU there. My kids can deposit money into their savings through the shared branching feature. During the pandemic, my husband's FCU stopped doing shared branching with several other FCUs which was a total inconvenience! So I was happy to know Pearl Hawaii still has this. And lastly, they share ATMs with FHB which makes it convenient for my kids to access their money if needed during nonbanking hours. My kids are still learning more about retirement planning and other saving money features with PHFCU! The tellers are always friendly, welcoming, and ready to assist my kids with any questions they have. I like the fact that they treat my kids like individual customers and not have to speak through me, even though I am right by there side supporting them. I am so happy that PHFCU helps me teach my kids about their finances!!

Weaver Road you might get lucky and find a spot by Genki Sushi. I don't "bank" here but they are a "shared banking" branch with my credit union. They're never busy when I come here (maybe one or two people ahead of me in the teller line). Staff is really friendly and quick. They're running a "special" right now. If you open an account you get a free power storage/bank.

Two years…read morelater, a friend of mine said that I should consider refinancing my vehicle with a local credit union. I already had a credit union and a bank. Which I was satisfied with. She highly suggested that I consider Hoku. I was approved instantly and they made the process so seamless. All I had to do was go into the nearest branch and open a savings account. I live in Ewa Beach so I went to this location. I had a wonderful pleasure of meeting Daphne Kealoha. We told her that we needed to establish a savings account because we were approved for a loan. She made the account opening process so seamless and fun at the same time. At that moment I ended up opening a checking account which lo and behold I transferred my direct deposit over. I have received nothing but stellar service from the ladies at this branch. I do still bank with Bank Of Hawaii but my preferred credit union is Hoku. So much so that my husband rolled over his IRA to Hoku and we pretty much bank with them primarily. I absolutely love, the relationship that I was able to build with my banker Daphne. Regardless of what we are trying to do financially she is there to help us. Some information that the community might not know. Hoku offers instant issue debit cards. if you lose your debit card or you need a replacement debit card due to fraud the branch has you covered. You can walk out with a brand new debit card. Another fun fact is their ATM accepts cash and check deposits. Just like the bank of ATMs. But they take it a step further. Hoku is a part of the co-op network that means I can make deposits at any Navy Federal, credit Union, ATMs, I can deposit at HawaiiUSA, co-op, ATM and any co-op ATMs in the world. The only complaint that I have is Hoku's mobile deposit feature. HOCU places your mobile deposit and ATM check deposits on hold for seven days. Cash is available immediately. Another thing to mention is the bill pay service is not available in the mobile app. You have to log in to the web version to use the bill payment. I pay most of my bills with bill pay through Hoku. This would be another small inconvenience. Hopefully with future updates to their mobile app, these procedures change.

But Jess had gone above and beyond, by servicing me in the branch with my problems & gave me phone updates with the progress of my account needs. I went to the bank to clarify the situation and show my online banking of deducted amount. The manager Criselda is not helpful at all, he keep saying to call my bank and there is no problem on their side. And I did call my bank saying i do have sufficient funds and if i dont then i should pay charges for that. So i told the CPB manager and still insisting that" its not their fault". I got home i was not satisfied and called Loan assistant of CPB and they said their is technical error, and they will call me back to investigate. Oh well they called back and yes they received the money and got "reversed" or returned. But i never get that return money, so loan lady said she will process again . Whats funny is they i need to pay again with "late fees" plus car loan. Im like ok whatever to end this as long as you give me my return money. Until 2 weeks 3 weeks passed i didnt get the return money. I go back and forth to my bank and to cpb just a waste of time. I showed them the proof and didnt get any response from cpb after that no calls at all, all i want that time is "where did my payment go". almost 1 month of chaos, whats frustrating is no calls or updates on cpb. i called them again and yes they have my money and put it in my car loan. Im like you have my money, i wasted my time, my gas , i paid extra "late fees" , no updates and now they tell that they applied to my car loan as extra/added to my principal. From manager, online support who gave me different excuses on what happen to my return money, come on fix the system, communicate more.

It is clean, very modern, and while other branches have long lines, I've never encountered that in Ewa Beach. The branch doesn't even look like your typical credit union--there's no long bank of teller's windows. Tellers approach you with laptop in hand, and if you need, you work with them at a station. If not, they teach you how to use the computerized machines (think ATM on steroids) to complete your transaction. I don't deposit checks in person much anymore since remote deposits are so easy, but when I do, the computer thingy will make it easier. Also, Ewa Beach and I think Aiea are the only locations that are open on Saturday. Thanks for that!!

There was nearly no one in the bank. I went and sat on the couches provided by the bank because I need to go to T-Mobile which was next-door but they opened in 15 minutes. So I thought sitting on the couch for 15 minutes would be a good idea and just wait. I was asked by the tell her if I needed additional help and I said no, I'm just waiting for Tmobile to over next-door, she kinda went on the offense and said "what time is that??" I said like 15 minutes is that OK? She said as long as it's 15 minutes like she was gonna kick me out or something as a member to the bank and then the other girl said you can't stay here. I was just looking for a comfortable place after doing a transaction with my bank. Two 815 minutes to Tmobile to open up quietly, sat on the corner on my phone with nearly no customers in the store. You can see in the picture. I posted the two girls. The guy in the picture is probably one of the best customer service service representative there! My transaction was awesome. It's when I sat down on the couch after the transaction, thenall hell broke loose. Well, just wanted to sit down and wait for 15 minutes. I am taking my business to Navy federal full-time, at least I'm welcome to sit on the couch for 10 minutes or 15 minutes.

We have been calling every month to transfer money from her savings to her checking. I thought that it was strange that her accounts were only in her name. I asked if she wanted one or both of her sons on her accounts... to be safe... in case she goes into the hospital again... She agreed. I parked in the shared parking lot at Waipahu Town Center. Located right next to Longs Drugs Store, American Savings Bank has two Automated Teller Machines outside for after hour transactions. They close at 5pm on Mondays through Thursdays; 6pm on Fridays; and 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Inside the spacious, clean environment, there were two visible tellers. Another customer was waiting for the 3rd teller who was in the back. I grabbed an office chair from the office on the end so aunty could sit down while she waited for her turn. A teller finally was free to help us, but she couldn't do everything that we requested. The Assistant Vice President, Jill, came to our aid. We followed her to her office and laid out some documents. Jill did as much as she could. We will keep in touch and finish this transaction tomorrow. Thank you! Note: checks are $28.50 per box - hopefully, this fee can be waived!
