I am not sure why they are rated so low. I am a new customer & have had great interactions with every employee so far. But Jess had gone above and beyond, by servicing me in the branch with my problems & gave me phone updates with the progress of my account needs. I have also received multiple calls from CPB to welcome me & let me know about all the deals I could take advantage of, being a new customer. We have a car loan from CPB , we dont have any problem making my payments until last december i received a letter saying NSF. I went to the bank to clarify the situation and show my online banking of deducted amount. The manager Criselda is not helpful at all, he keep saying to call my bank and there is no problem on their side. And I did call my bank saying i do have sufficient funds and if i dont then i should pay charges for that. So i told the CPB manager and still insisting that" its not their fault". I got home i was not satisfied and called Loan assistant of CPB and they said their is technical error, and they will call me back to investigate. Oh well they called back and yes they received the money and got "reversed" or returned. But i never get that return money, so loan lady said she will process again . Whats funny is they i need to pay again with "late fees" plus car loan. Im like ok whatever to end this as long as you give me my return money. Until 2 weeks 3 weeks passed i didnt get the return money. I go back and forth to my bank and to cpb just a waste of time. I showed them the proof and didnt get any response from cpb after that no calls at all, all i want that time is "where did my payment go". almost 1 month of chaos, whats frustrating is no calls or updates on cpb. i called them again and yes they have my money and put it in my car loan. Im like you have my money, i wasted my time, my gas , i paid extra "late fees" , no updates and now they tell that they applied to my car loan as extra/added to my principal. From manager, online support who gave me different excuses on what happen to my return money, come on fix the system, communicate more. read more

I went in today to pay for my mortgage payment. Joseph was my teller and I felt rushed as he was helping me. It felt like he didn't care about me being a customer and that he just wanted me to leave. He took my payment and usually they'd ask if there was anything else I needed but nope, not this guy. He just gave me my receipt, said thank you, and left to go do some other papers as I put my papers away. read more

I am having an awful experience trying to pay my car payment through CPB. We have not received an invoice *once* via mail or email since May despite being reassured by both the dealership and CPB that we would. I am unable to set up any form of online banking unless I open up an account. Anytime we call we are not being given adequate information about our options. If if I would consider opening up an account, I wouldn't want based on my experiences the past few months. Wildly disappointed and not sure what else to do at this point. read more

Contrary to everyone's reviews..I like this bank..yes there are times that service can be a bit slow but for me..customer service trumps it..I think this is because I come here a lot and the two younger looking tellers know me so well that my service is really quick..at times when I don't have my baby with me..they would ask about her when she's not. My only complaint is with the customers before me..have your paper work meaning deposit slip, signed checks before stepping up to the counter..that's why they made that table with pen and all next to the waiting line..and when you're done..move outta the way so the next person can get his/her transactions going rather then finagling in your bag looking for your keys or sorting out your dolla bills into your overfilled wallet or on your phone texting. These people are sloooowwwwwww. Every time I come in to this location I have to wait at least 15 minutes, even if there is only one person ahead of me. Today, was by far the worst. There was a line of people and the customer holding up the line was at the teller pulling out $$ and counting it there. She held up the line for over twenty minutes!!! The teller should have told her to have her $$$ ready with a deposit slip. Then when it was my turn the other teller put up the "next teller" sign. A couple of people walked out because it was too long of a wait. And the manager just walks back and forth doing nothing! The only reason I come here is because they have late hours. read more

Terrible experience today. I don't bank here. My accounts are with a different banking institution and I usually deposit the checks that I get from this bank, but today I needed the cash up front. I presented the check and my driver's license to the teller. She looked at my license and said,"hmm, Guam...haven't seen one of these in a while." I didn't think anything of it. She was looking at something on her computer screen for a while. She then got up and went to a file cabinet where she pulled out a book that had a collection of samples of the various licenses from different places. She took forever to locate the page with Guam licenses. Kept looking...and looking....and looking... I finally asked her if there was a problem. She said," I can't seem to find this particular license in the book...don't worry, there are other ways to take care of this." Seriously? Do you think I would waste my valuable time trying to use a fake license to cash a check? I explained that I had cashed a check before from the same person at the same branch and I didn't have a problem. She looked at her computer screen for several more minutes and said, "can you tell me when you cashed that check?" OMG! Sure lady, let me pull up my database so I can tell you the exact year, month, day, hour, minute, and second that I cashed that check. You have a computer in front of you. LOOK WITH YOUR EYES, NOT YOUR MOUTH! I stood up, grabbed the check and my license and told her it was ok and that I didn't have time for this. All she said was, "ok." Awesome customer service! Don't get me wrong, I completely understand about security measures but this teller took way too long and didn't seem to want to be too helpful. However, she didn't have a problem stopping to help a "regular" customer that was having an issue with the new teller in the window right next to us. Lesson learned. If you are from Guam, don't go here unless you have an account with them. They won't be able to find your license in their book. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. read more

This bank isn't even my bank, it's my girlfriends but I do enjoy coming here. The staff is so friendly and the location is neat and clean. The space inside is not too big but roomy enough for a small line. Its located in the shopping area so it's not a travel along with your errands. Anyone looking to start an account should try this place. read more

I wish that I could review more than one CPB branch because they have consistently been great. I had an account with my ex and when we split, so did my relationship with CPB. However almost ten years I bought a car and the dealer put the loan with CPB. Never had any problems with the loan or any issues with the bank. When I paid off the loan, the bank people downtown were very nice and told me that if I ever wanted to finance another car to talk to them. As it happened, I had been in an accident in which my car was totaled and needed to get financing for part of the cost of the new one. I asked the dealers to finance with CPB because they had been so good first time around. I also opened a checking account with them (and received my iPod Touch), as well as a checking account with my mother. I opened the checking account at the Mililani branch. The people there were uniformly nice, always welcomed me by name, and dealt with my business quickly and professionally. I moved to Ewa Beach in March and didn't like to stop dealing with Mililani. But the people at Ewa (with one minor exception) have been just as great as the people at Mililani. I left my card in the ATM at Kapolei not long ago and they called me first thing next morning to let me know I could pick it up. When I went in to pick it up, one of the tellers from Mililani was there to greet me by name before I went up to the counter. I have never had any negative interactions with the people at CPB. They are consistently polite, professional and attentive. It's a great bank, at least for personal checking, car loans and other personal business. I am planning on opening a business soon and I hope that they do as well with businesses. It's next to the Safeway so it's not out of the way, there never seems to be long lines at any of the branches I've gone to, and they always smile and say hello. read more
