I've been volunteering as a greeter for over a year and have met so many wonderful people who also just want to know God. Ed Young is a great pastor. He references scripture in his sermons and relates them in a way that can be pulled into every day life. I see a lot of negative reviews about the church discussing money on here. I just want to point out the Bible mentions money 800 times. It is the second most mentioned topic in scripture. Love it, don't love it, it's up to you. I, however, love it and would recommend it to any and all ages looking for a loving community.

They privately hosted Erika Kirk which is odd because they're very marketing heavy with ads, billboards, and blasts. It's noted they're tracking their supporters information. I'm conservative so I very much align with Christain values but there's a lot of propaganda starting to happen here and Ed frequently talks of himself, famous people he knows, expensive trips or things he has, and is much less biblically focused. It's sad to feel this and type this as I've been here literally my whole life 29 years growing up and volunteering and investing financially heavily but my gut has told me this is not heading in a direction I can be apart of.

I drove an hour to go this church for the toddler playground - once we got there I was greeted by a…read moresecurity officer who informed us that they recently changed the hours of the playground (which was not and still not updated on their website). He offered for us to join the Bible study but mind you I just drove an hour with a 1 1/2 year old who needed to get some energy out so that would not have been a good option for us. I told him it was okay and we would try to figure something out. I then proceeded to try to play with my toddler outside of the church, 10 minutes went by and I needed to use the restroom and I also wanted to ask if they would just let my son run around inside for a few minutes before getting back in the car for another hour....I knocked on the front doors, nobody came. They're glass doors so I saw inside there were two gentleman, both workers one being at the coffee station literally 10 feet from the door. I made eye contact with The non coffee worker, he could clearly see I was trying to get in and literally did not come to the door. the coffee worker who could clearly see me outside (again these were glass doors) did not come to even address me. What Kind of church treats people like this? Especially a mom and child? I literally left in tears.

Children are cherished and welcome here. There is a lovely nursery and a table in the sanctuary where kids can sit together and color or do play quietly during worship.
