I came in looking for the green Bully vinyl by Kanye West, and they told me they didn't have it. A few days later, I saw a post of them destroying a batch of perfectly good copies. That was disappointing, to say the least. I was ready to spend my money there, but it feels like they didn't want it. If they genuinely had an issue with the product, they could have sold the records and donated the proceeds to a cause they support. Instead, this came across as a performative move. It feels like they're trying to shame Kanye fans while still carrying music from artists who have faced serious controversies of their own. For example, they carry N.W.A records, despite past allegations involving members like MC Ren who impregnated a 16 year old and Dr. Dre who had a relationship with a 16 year old while he was 22, They sell Playboi Carti who beat his girlfriend, and Cardi B who admittedly said she drugged and robbed men. They stock The Smiths, whose frontman Morrissey has made racist and fascist leaning statements and Marvin Gaye who impregnated a 15 year old . The same goes for artists like Radiohead who are raging Zionist who support the genocide of Palestinian people, Melanie Martinez who sexually assaulted her friend, Bob Seger who assaulted and forced his wife to abort their child, and David Bowie who flirted with Nazi imagery, owned Nazi memorabilia, did the Nazi salute and had relations with multiple underage girls, I'm glad to know they will let it slide with a white man but not a mentally ill black man. If a store is going to take a moral stance, it should apply it across the board rather than selectively. Otherwise, it feels less about principle and more about optics. I have never been more disgusted with a store in my life. I walked in expecting a simple, enjoyable experience, just trying to buy the new album "BULLY" for my son, and instead I witnessed something that genuinely made my blood boil. Right there, out in the open, the employees were smashing the vinyl records on the ground. Not by accident. Not mishandling them. Deliberately destroying them like it was some kind of joke. Brand new records, music people actually care about, being treated like garbage. I stood there in disbelief watching them stomp and crack the vinyl, laughing like it was entertaining. What kind of business operates like this? You sell records, yet you openly disrespect the very product your customers come in for. It's beyond unprofessional, it's insulting. There are people who save money, who look forward to buying something special, and this is how you treat it? I didn't just leave without buying anything, I left furious. I will never set foot in this place again, and I'll make sure everyone I know hears about it. I went to this store happy and left distraught. I asked for Kanye West's newest album and they called me a "Nazi pig". I do not hold those values whatsoever and couldn't believe they would just call me that outright for simply wanting a vinyl. Plus the vinyl has no songs or lyrics about nazism so I was completely confused. I love the album because it only has songs about love, peace, and healing. The craziest part is I look to my left inside the store and I see vinyls of numerous artists that have said and done horrendous things -- im talking straight up criminals. As I left the store completely bewildered and berated with tears in my eyes they said "check out our instagram." There I found they had posted videos of them destroying Kanye's vinyls, smashing and breaking them on the street. I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought record stores were about preserving art. Instead of receiving music from a record store, I was harassed because of some remarks Kanye West made during a bipolar episode that has nothing to do with his music... this store does not care about anyone's mental health or overall wellbeing so please do not waste your time. read more

I then asked "well what does that have to do with the artist's music?" they responded to me in a chilling cold manner: "you either get something else or you leave." A video posted on this record stores Instagram shows them destroying limited edition records for Ye's brand new album "BULLY". These albums were given to them for absolutely no charge and they destroyed them all to try and show that they don't support Neo Nazis. This album does not mention anything about antisemitism or hateful speech in its lyrics. This is completely wasteful of the plastic and paper materials used to make these vinyls, which again were gifted to them for completely free. Any record store willing to destroy physical media just for a little bit of clout online does not truly care for the sort of music and only for themself. The bins were disorganized, with warped sleeves and mismatched records stuffed together, making it nearly impossible to find anything intentionally. Half the inventory seemed overpriced beyond reason, especially considering the poor condition--scratches, dust, and even cracked cases weren't uncommon. What really killed the experience, though, was the atmosphere; the staff acted annoyed by basic questions and hovered in a way that made browsing uncomfortable instead of enjoyable. Regardless of what Ye had said he did apologize and is working and trying to better himself for not only him, but for his family and everyone else he had hurt. I was taking my son to this establishment as a gift for his good grades in school my idea was to surprise him by getting him the new bully green vinyl by the artist Kanye west or ye (one of his favorite artist.) as we entered the store i asked politely for the vinyl and they told me and my son "go away like the neo Nazi's you are" we do not uphold the values of Nazi's due to the fact that we are Jewish. after this was said my son started crying and the employees had the bright idea to laugh in his face as he did (HE IS 9 YEARS OLD.) I wouldn't stop here on principle. Destroying vinyl is a bad look. Seems like it's ideologically motivated. Which leads me to question where this shop will draw the line. Where does it end? I don't want to visit to find out. This shop isn't about music, it's about dogma. Best of luck to you folks. I was really excited to celebrate record store day so I searched to find local record stores near me because we should support small local businesses. Unfortunately choosing this location ended up being a huge mistake. the workers of the store gave me very nasty looks just for walking into the store and I could hear them whispering about me as I looked around through the selections. this made for a very unwelcoming and uncomfortable experience in which I will never return. I highly recommend if you're a person of color to NOT visit this store. this was an extremely devastating and sad experience which nearly ruined such a special day for me. read more

I was passing by Lincon on my way to colorado and decided to with my wife stop by local record stores and see if they had anything good. I, myself as a vinyl collector entered the store and looked around. A lady that worked there approached me and asked me if I needed any help. I asked if they had any hip hop albums and then directed me to their hip hop section. I browsed through it and then asked if they had any Kanye albums. She looked me in my eyes and told me "We don't carry that nazi n*****". As an individual with african american roots I immedietly started a voice recording with my phone. Horrible people. read more
