BBandT is kind of an old school bank, and they gracefully show their age with personnel, old school…read morekindness, some southern hospitality, professional virtues, and good and solid morals. Yes, they are a tad bit behind some of the HUGE National banks, but I've never seen where that held them back too much. This bank sticks to their guns and backs up their customers AND their employees. My wife has worked for big conglomerate banks and I can tell you, those companies don't give a flip about customers or employees. Knowing that makes a world of difference when it comes to choosing a bank. I read another review of someone complaining they were in hold. And if they called Wells Fargo, I'm sure they still would be. If they called Bank of America, they wouldn't have a solution, and if they went to First Citizens, they probably would have been denied an account. Can you honestly say you've ever been anything but frustrated when you have had to sit on hold to resolve an issue, regardless the length of time? What the world needs to do is stop looking at how long it takes to fix their problem and realize how few or how many problems they have, are these problems at their own fault, and how often these problems occur if they are using the competition. I can't help my customers but one at a time, and I'm glad to bank with a company that does the same for me.

Their personnel in the Wilson, NC headquarters are very unsophisticated and clueless when it comes to understanding the Northern VA market related to HELOC's and loans in general. I have told family and friends who are current customers and Sun Trust customers to find a more customer friendly bank.
