But here I am writing this review for the BEST heating and cooling company -IMHO- in Bakersfield. I had the unfortunate experience of having my cooling go out just before the 4th of July. I had just come home from the hospital after hurting my knee and was laid upon my couch, NOT a good time to have cooling issues. I called my insurance company and they referred me to Jon Dooley Heating and Cooling. Clara the office manager called me to set up an appointment. (I had never used this heating and cooling company before) for an assessment and I mentioned to her that I hoped to have it fixed before the 4th of July. Without missing a beat, Clara pulled out her calendar and began to move appointments around in order to make it to my home the very SAME DAY-Um-Wow OK, Not really typical :) Jon Dooley himself (before noon I might add) assessed my cooler, gave me a full report on what the issue was, and made arrangements to return to my home the next day to install the parts needed. What happened next CAUGHT ME BY SURPRISE. My insurance company (HomeServe) that I had purchased a Heating and Cooling policy from a few months back called me and stated that I WAS NOT COVERED. Now, this is where it gets REALLY GOOD... less than an hour after me receiving that call from my insurance, Clara from the office at Jon Dooley heating and cooling called me and offered me a proposition that I could not refuse! Clara stated that Jon could see that I was laid up, and needed and may need little help. She stated that he was aware that I was not covered by my policy, and that Jon was still wanted to fix my issue. She then presented me with a SUPER reasonable payment plan and asked if I wanted her to find the parts needed, then send a tech to my home the next day and have them fix my cooling issues. I WAS STUNNED-and soooo very Grateful!... Again Who does that? Jon Dooley, Clara the office manager, and the tech that fixed my cooler, all bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. They provided me with same day service, exemplary personalized service, SUPER reasonable payment plan, not to mention went way out of their way to obtain the needed parts AND fit me in and finish the job before the 4th of July! OMGosh... BRAVO! and a huge THANK YOU Jon Dooley Heating and Cooling to step up to the plate and helping a random person in your community that needed a little help getting up... literally :)

My elderly mother's air conditioner went out and it is supposed to be in the high 90s in the coming week. She has a heart condition, and when I explained this, they were very good about getting us on to their schedule quickly. The technician communicated his arrival time in advance and arrived promptly. Original Post: 7/14/2021…read more The good: They were highly recommended by a peer. The not so good: They show up without notice or a heads up phone call. They don't listen. From my experience they already have it in their head what the issue is or isn't. I had to call another company that listened in order to resolve my issue. Update 06/12/2022: Who do you think called the landlord to have the issue looked at? Since the issue wasn't resolved I asked the landlord to call a different service professional. The new company called and scheduled a time to come work on the issue versus randomly showing up, they listened, and the issue was resolved in their first visit. It is amazing what we can accomplish when we treat everyone as valued adults.
