The rest of the pastoral staff is inexperienced, untrained, and lacks formal education. Affairs have even taken place between staff members. Preaching revolves around the lie that God determined everything that happens in your life before you were even born. This means that your choices and experiences aren't really yours, and you have no real control over your life. Church beliefs are also anti-gay, anti-women, and pro-Republican. Men run this church. Women cannot read the Bible out loud in the presence of men, and are only allowed to hold leadership roles over other women and children. Also, the demographics of this church are overwhelmingly white. It does not represent Rosamond at-large, which is concerning as a "community" church. If their monstrosity of a building wasn't visible from everywhere, you wouldn't even know this church existed. Wayside Chapel simply doesn't care about Rosamond...just money to keep the multi-million dollar building in operation. Feel free to visit and see for yourself. You'll come to the same conclusion I did: Rosamond deserves better.

I needed to find a church that could meet my spiritual needs and I knew there was 2 churches exactly across the street from one another one Catholic and the other that said Community Church. Most community churches are non-denominational so I figured I better go check out their service. So here it is Christmas Eve not really sure if they have a children's ministry or childcare or anything of the sort. It was a REALLY windy and cold night. The people there weren't as friendly as i'm used to when I go to my home church in San Diego, but there were a few that were nice enough to hand me a program and a candle. I originally sat in the front, but it felt like ALL eyes on me up there so I back a couple of rows and the woman sitting next to us had a issue or something cause she kept looking at me and my son like we were in the wrong place. I gave it 3 stars why only 3 because the spiritual aspect of it was mostly there but the people weren't that welcoming. I think it's important to feel welcome somewhere so you don't do what I did which was walked out after the 5th reading.

This church so far has shown to be so wonderful. It has helped us become stronger in our faith as well as Saved. This past Sunday our family had the honor of being Baptized together. Pastor Aaron and his wife have both been very welcoming as well as many other members of this church. We are very blessed to have discovered them.
