The people were very welcoming! After the service, we were invited to go to the "explore" room where we met with some of the staff and watched a short video about the church and their beliefs. They provided donuts and water and we were asked to fill out a get-to-know-you form. What we didn't love: The sound system was extremely loud. When the pastor was speaker it was hurting my ears. I had to wear my jacket and I was still freezing in the building (it's January... maybe they're trying to save on electricity bill) We loved the church and their values! But it was too late to get to my church, which is quite a drive from my house on the westside of Jacksonville. So I Googled, of course, for a closer church. The previous review of The Springs Church by Laura G. convinced me to give it a try and I'm glad I did. As I walked in I noticed they have a cafe serving coffee and a number of tables to sit and drink it if you arrive early. I, however, arrived a bit late and the sound of worship filled the sanctuary. I'm not a particularly good singer, but got totally swept up in it. It was contemporary, but not blasting. They had an excellent guest preacher who is a "church planter" in the inner city of Detroit. He related a very harrowing and dangerous, in fact life threatening situation that happened to him there. I realized the missionary field is not only in third world countries, but is right here in America.

Absolutely wonderful church for people of all backgrounds!! Single, married, kids, no kids, teens,…read moresenior citizens. All are welcome! We have small groups that meet regularly and services on both Wednesday's and Sunday's. Children's services both days. The Springs Church has a heart for the community and they host various outreach ministries on a monthly basis. No frills or fluff, just the true Word of God preached straight from the Bible. Pastor John and Crista are not fake or judgemental and they've taken the gospel all over the globe. Come as you are and let the Word of God minister to you.

Pastor Chris is uncompromising when it comes to teaching God's Word, which is very important, and which is rare today within the church. I am eternally grateful to Pastor Chris for the things I learned about ministry, he is humble yet straightforward... and even though I am now ministering in Montana, I consider Chris not only as a father in the faith (he brought us through the bible 2 complete times while we were there), but also a brother and a friend for life. The welcome committee was terrific and having the pastor at the door to welcome everyone was so refreshing because that's what I'm used to. Now there are these mega churches where you can't get near the pastors which is sad in itself. The worship was great and the HOLY SPIRIT definitely was there. I love that they had an alter call for prayer and for anyone wanting to give their life to Christ. Just wanted to see the blessing of oil being used. This church loves to vocally praise the Lord which he is SO deserving of! Not sure if they have mid-week study, where to me is a good time for new believers and seasoned christians to come together to really get in the word biblically.
