I applied for a loan for a property in Oklahoma (I live in Texas). The loan was for 60K on a…read moreproperty valued at 160K. We Told them that we wanted to close before the end of the year and were assured that it would not be a problem. Mid December when I called to check on the loan we were told that the first week of January they would have the appraisal done. Today 1/10/22 we got a call from our realtor, who had gotten a call from the buyers realtor after Guild Mortgage contacted them and said they were not approving the loan. because part of the structure is a trailer and the original house is older than 1985 Guess. I'll just have to pull more out of my savings and pay cash for the house in Oklahoma.

David was very helpful when you could actually talk to him. He was either busy or gone from the…read moreoffice. On the other hand, his assistant Brooke seemed to be very unorganized. She would wait until the last minute to tell us what documents we needed. She also locked our interest rate without our permission which changed our deadline to close. She said that because the deadline was past, she had to take back our 900.00 credit. Also, I specifically instructed her to call my wife for anything she needed because I had clients and did not have time to answer the phone. She constantly called me anyway. She was rude at times on the phone to my wife and got very defensive when she was asked questions about certain things that were not finished so we could close. One day we called to talk to David or brook to check on our insurance for the house and the woman in the lobby answered the phone. She proceeded to call our insurance company and pick our insurance for us without our permission. While David was helpful when available, his staff was not and I would not recommend this company to ANYONE. They called my job multiple times to verify my employment. My employer was very unhappy about this. They did this by email and phone. He also had to fill out paperwork three different times. We received a phone call the day before we closed at 5:00 pm saying we needed a cashiers check and not a personal check. The only reason I was able to do this was because I was right next to a branch that could do that for me. We closed the next morning at 10. Too many deadlines without enough notice. Also David ask us to remove this review that he will pay our home inspection since he was loosing too much money. We just don't want others people to have the same bad experience we did.
