I was in Delware in October on business and stopped by the Christiana Mall. I walked in because I was intrested in buying some shirts I saw online for my husband. They had them but I didn't buy them. If I would've bought them, I feel I would've caused too much of an inconvenience to the employees. So when I entered the store it was around 8pm, they close at 9pm. The Cashiers looked at me and my collegue like oh crap someone is in here. We weren't even greeted, there was 3 employees there and no one said welcome in or even hello. They just stared at us. I started browsing around and saw that they were counting the cash register money on the cashier counter. I thought that was odd since closing was at 9pm. It felt pretty obvious they were done with the day so while I did see what I wanted, I walked out and instead ordered it online.

I suppose it's a great location opposite of where I live closer to the city. It's cute and filled with little gems literally and figuratively. As I perused the large store filled with goodies and trinkets I was pleased they carried "Love Your Melon" products. I saw plenty of accessories and clothing all of which were stylish and fairly trendy. It was a quiet way to spend my lunch hour. The boutique jewelry was well priced and all I could think about were the number of gifts I could check of throughout the year. Gift for me, gift for her. The clothing unfortunately I didn't even bother. I am too tall and bigger than the average woman. I stayed in my lane. I absolutely loved this place. There were so many unique items for her, your car, your loved ones. Wellness, peace and beauty was a consistent theme. Bath bombs and soaps, hats, scarves, purses bracelets if all kinds. They do sell Pandora jewelry, so if you're looking for a charm or something to add to your collection, this might be a good place to stop by while you're in town; they also carried other jewelry collections, including some by local crafters. I found that to be the most interesting display, so perhaps if you've an eye for that sort of thing, you might find yourself something really neat. Service here was sort of lukewarm; nobody seemed to care that we were in the store. Employees just chatted with one another. Maybe it's because we're young? Not sure. I had an issue with my sunglasses and was told at the point of sale that if I had any need of repairs I could bring them in. I did just that in November of 2024. I was told that it would take about a month to get them back. I called in January to check on the status and was told that someone would get back to me and no one did. I was later told that the owner was sick with the flu which is understandable and that someone would get back to me. No one did. I finally got a hold of the owner today after months of trying to get the status and she verbally accosted me stating that she ordered a ring for me that I didn't retrieve which is a BOLD faced LIE. She did not have the ring in stock and I wanted to see it in person BEFORE making the purchase. I also told her that it was fine and that I would try the Brighton store in Delaware. She volunteered to order it and told me that I could make my decision when I visited the store and that I was under no obligation to purchase it. Rightfully so as I did not make the request. Weeks later told me that the ring came in when I called to check on the status of my sunglasses the first time and I told her that I would take a look at it when I came to retrieve my glasses. This owner Kathy was very defensive despite my effort to emphasize with her for the brief 3 weeks that she was sick. She apologized for lying saying that she did in fact not tell me that the repair was a curtesy and she had to pay a total of $40 to send it for repair. While apologizing she simultaneously disrespected me saying "not to mess with her" and abruptly hung up on me while I was simply stating that it had been months and was empathizing with her situation. Of course she didn't hear that as she was screaming at me. She also accused me of being disrespectful in her shop which nothing could be further from the truth as I've had nothing but sweet encounters with her, her family and staff in addition to my husband and autistic child. What a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treated me unnecessarily and your utter LIES. SPEAKING OVER your customers is not the right way to do business especially when they have legitimate questions and were being empathetic. I do not recommend this vendor and will be taking my business to the Brighton store going forward. I'm sure you're going to reply with UTTER lies but remember I also cannot believe that you JUST mailed the sunglasses out for repair. God sees and knows all things and will repay each one for wrongdoing. AS THEY SAY KARMA is no respecter of persons and you I'm sure won't be exempt. DO NOT BUY HERE!!
