We made the train with time to spare. Otherwise the service is top-notch and modern. They sent me a confirmation text immediately (without asking for my number first - nice). They followed that 5 minutes later with the make, model and registration number of the dispatched taxi. Five minutes later the clean taxi showed up with a friendly, professional driver. The carpets and surfaces are old and worn. the room was not modern in any way. Plumbing fixtures, in particular, were out of date and included such antiquities as separate taps with no mixing capability. The taps in the shower were equally ancient and in fact broke when we used them. Someone needed to be sent up for a repair. Aberdeen is a somber-looking town owing to the extensive use of grey stone in buildings, Don't make your stay more somber by staying here. This place is not up to Mercure standards.
