My parents (Mr. & Mrs. Anderson) have an older model F-150 FX4 truck that recently needed major repairs unexpectedly. We had it towed to Firestone Complete Auto Care on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salen, NC to have it evaluated. The team was very helpful and professional. They diagnosed the issue, gave a very reasonable price, and were able to get the repairs done in one day. Since this is the only car my parents have, it was important that they be able to get the car back as soon as possible. I called and spoke with two different associates at Firestone, and each time I was impressed with the level of customer service. Brendan and Deb are awesome! They ensured all the work done on the truck was done to a high standard. I also greatly appreciate the extra effort they extended to help my parents get the truck back in working order so promptly. Bad customer service I pulled in this establishment in a medical transport vehicle patient loaded asking for tire pressure no one even acknowledged me a customer walked in after me and was immediately greeted and taken care of swiftly I wouldn't come here ever and that's a shame I typically have good service by this company but not this one in particular horrible customer service I'm not sure if it's because of my skin or what but that was the only difference that's a shame bad quality I even offered to do it myself was still told to wait that it would take a while I went right across the street to take 5 oil and was taken care of in minutes I'm a auto tech myself and owner my own tire shop I know what it takes to help someone quickly and multi task in the face of the storm that's unacceptable shame on these workers read more

Firestone service is going down hill. They used to be reliable, but seem to be not as well managed. I called and made an appointment for an oil change and inspection. While waiting, another customer came in and they "worked " him in for an inspection an hour after I was here and did his car before mine, even though I had an appointment. This Firestone location on Reynolda Road located in Winston Salem is horrible last July I paid almost $1000 for a o2 sensor which made my check engine light disappear I also have a life time wheel alignment there. This past Monday I took it there to have a wheel alignment done. Now all of the sudden my check engine light comes back on same issue with my o2 sensor that I just had done under a year ago. Now there telling me that the warranty either covers 12,000 miles or 12 months smh well I'm under 12 months but over 12,000 miles so they won't honor the warranty. I advise anyone do not do business with them they are money hungry and Money grabbers and the young guys there don't care at all. read more

Customer services goes a long way in my book. I went to Firestone because my wife's car was in need of a battery. When I walked in, there was one gentleman waiting as his car was being taken care of. The man at the counter looked me up and down, and continued his conversation even as I was standing in front of him, so I said "Hello" as a que for him to greet me. He asked me what I needed, and I let him know I needed a battery. He was very snippy and rude, and told me he wouldn't have time for me until Tuesday - which was really strange because they were not busy at all. Basic diagnostics ~$130.00. Not horrible, pricier than most. Markup on the radiator that I need replaced, 326% above market value. I would have expected a 100-130% markup for a high end non-corporate shop. $450 for a $120 radiator, of which I know that they won't pay the $120 retail price. It obvious that this place takes advantage or rather applies a premium for working in a low income and poorly educated area. The work I've had them do is quality, and when they replaced a starter for my wife it was expensive but convenient; would recommend finding a local smaller shop. read more

Even though there are signs that masks are REQUIRED, the staff allowed two people coughing to sit in here with NO MASKS for an extended period of time. Came in for a new tire and was given a used tire. I was unaware that they gave me a used tire and it lasted me 2 weeks before it got a hole and I needed to get a new one. Cheap but unreliable. When I asked for a time estimate he replied not too long but it's going on an hour: they have a 'Face covering required' sign on the door but it Is poorly, if it's even, enforced. read more

I am also new to this area and did not know where to take my 2017 Chevy Cruze, but I lived close to this firestone so I schuduled an appointment at 1am and had an appointment for 12pm. I understand that as a large corporation the employees at this shop cannot control the prices they charge for services, and while I take issue with the insane up-charging of the company as a whole, my review is directed at this location of Firestone in particular. The workers at this shop saw as I walked in, a young woman, in a college town, that clearly did not know anything about cars, and they saw an opportunity to take advantage of me. I was called about the cost of the services and I asked specific questions about what I would have to pay. The mechanic recommended some sort of cleaning due to the mileage on my car, and I asked how much my total cost would be if I opted into that cleaning. He gave me a number around $700. I followed up with, "what if I do not get that recommended cleaning" and he told me $115. Imagine my surprise when I go to insert my credit card and the man tells me my total is over $500. I told him that is not what he explained on the phone. He proceeds to give me an itemized list of the expenses and "explain" them to me and ends by asking "is that okay?". Of course it was not okay, but what choice did I have, it's not like I could leave my car there. Shame on this location for taking advantage of me and lying about the costs I would be expected to pay. I will never come back and I plan to warn as many people as I can about the corrupt practices of this Firestone location. Update: the manager, David, called me to discuss my experience. He was nice and listened to my concerns, but I still won't be going back there. I am too worried about not being told all the information in regards to my car. If you get a chance to interact with David he seemed nice and maybe you'll have a better experience than I did, but otherwise I would not recommend going to this Firestone. read more

I went here b/c I had a free coupon for an oil change. I dropped my car off and went on errands with a friend. It was done when I got back, but the bill was not correct. There were charges for brake pads and an oil Change. They took off the oil change when I reminded them of the coupon, but I had to persuade them with the facts in a kind way to have the other charge taken off. It was a hassle. They also tried to tell me a lot of things were wrong and to make an appointment with them to fix the issues. I was really feeling pressured, it was annoying. I decided to get a second opinion at PURE across the street at Fairlawn and Reynolda. Their diagnosis was different and one that I trust. They were laid back and told me what they thought needed to be done, not where it needed to be done. I like that. I will be getting my next oil change at PURE. read more

Worst customer service ever!! I am a minority and I was yelled at and treated horribly here at this location. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. It's not ok to yell at your customers and treat them differently due to the color of their skin. I sat there and witnessed the same associate that yelled at me speak nicely to everyone else (who were white) but he yelled at me. I have never been so afraid in my life. Overcharged for everything. Parts that cost between $41 and $69 are marked up to $135. Charged an hour and a half worth of labor ($99) to diagnose an issue that I had already diagnosed and they called me 40 mins after dropping off the car and confirmed. So unless they have a time machine, I don't believe them. Then billed above the agreed upon price for the repair. Charged $40 to replace a headlight! Their hard upselling is negligent, and they find things to repair that aren't broken. They told me I needed an oil change when I had one less than a month before. Complete scam. Avoid! read more

This is probably the most negligent place I've ever taken my car to. Consistently leaving small things off my car and forgetting to do things. I no longer trust them. They recently messed something up on my vehicle that will cost a lot to fix and won't own up to it so I won't be back. How do I get an oil change and in the same day have low air in my tires? When they are supposed to check that... How do you top off my washer fluid and leave the cap off? Come on now... I had always had great experience with these guys until my wife needed brakes. Young mechanic I've never dealt with before decided to try to put a hard-sell on my wife and tell her she needed $800 plus in repairs. When I got him on the phone, he told me that he thought he could actually get it done for $250 but it was unsafe to do anything else. I told him to put the wheels back on and I would take care of it somewhere else. I knew she only needed brakes.. I took it to a friend who's a 25 year mechanic and he and I put the brakes on in an hour. He told me that the brakes were worn out but were certainly not the life-threatening situation that the mechanic at the Firestone on Reynolda would've had my wife think it was. Do not appreciate trying to scare my wife to make a sale. Won't be back there ever! read more

Alright, I took my car in to have the oil changed and tires rotated. Told them give me a call when it is done and I'll come back after it. 15 minutes later they call saying I need a new battery (the car was bought new and has 30,200 miles on it, btw) and the tires are wearing unevenly so they suggested new tires. Now, I'm almost 50 and have various cars. The tires were NOT needing to be replaced. The wear was like 4/5/4 and 5/6/5. The battery was still under warranty. I had them finish the oil change and they talked me into an alignment. Went to the Honda service center. They tested the battery and said it was fine. They agreed with me that the tread was not an issue and it would pass inspection and that I did not need tires at this time. Honestly, it makes me question the need for an alignment. Called the customer care division and spoke to them. We were on three way with the tire manager. They agreed to refund the alignment charge tomorrow (I have to stop in as I charged it). I told them about the battery and they did not feel they had done anything wrong. read more

Our 18 year old daughter drove to Winston-Salem from Charlotte with 3 other friends for a dance audition. Her Jeep Cherokee was jerky and having issues on the way there. While she was at the audition, my husband did some research on the problem and called around to find a place that was open both on a Sunday AND could get her in after 3:00 when the audition ended. Chris, at Firestone, was more than willing to work with us. After he got the part that my husband requested be replaced installed, he did a little more checking and discovered the alternator was in need of replacement as well. With 30 minutes left in their day, on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY with CAROLINA PANTHERS in the game, Chris found the part, drove to pick it up, came back and he and Chip stayed late to get it installed and make sure it was safe for them to drive back to Charlotte. The Jeep is running well and the girls will make it back in time for their Super Bowl party! What I haven't mentioned is that my husband and I are almost 1000 miles and over 14 hours away, so getting that call of "Dad, something's wrong with the Jeep" is more than stressful! I went to Firestone for oil changes and car repair for about two years, until I found out about Mock Tire on Country Club. To my knowledge the service was always done properly and the staff was friendly enough, but my real problem with firestone is that I believe they try to sell you products and services that you don't need. For example they tried to get me to get multiple hundred dollars of repairs to fix an oil leak. I wanted to make sure I needed, first, however. So I waited to make sure my car was actually leaking oil, but I never had to add oil over the next three months. After going to Mock Tire, they told me this normal for a car with 82,000 miles, and it's probably not worth the cost of the fix. I and my fiance have had multiple experiences similar to this one, and I think if I'd have been going to Mock tire for the last couple years I would have saved a lot of money. read more

i come here for oil changes and usually make an appointment because it's busy. however, i had clutch fluid leaking under my gas peddle and they said to go ahead and bring it in. not only did they make time to explain what was wrong with my car while they were busy, but they also changed my oil since it needed it anyway and offered to drive me home since my car was out of commission for the day. every time i go, they entertain my new car owner questions without making me feel dumb (what does a registration card look like? can i duct tape this back together?) and the guys there are just generally really nice and focused on customer service. also, they totally do have free wifi. you just have to sign a user agreement. read more

It was Christmas Eve 2018 and I was near this Firestone and saw a lady in their parking lot who lost a tire and needed it changed. IN THE FIRESTONE PARKING LOT. When I pulled up to see if she needed help, I assumed she hadn't asked anyone at Firestone to help out. The lady asked the Firestone employees if they would help her but they wouldn't without payment. That just made her determined to make the change on her own. I think she would have done it on her own, so me stepping in just saved some time for her. I understand that the employees may have been busy, but the change would have taken them a minute. And it was Christmas Eve. That was just ridiculously unthoughtful of them. read more

Absolutely horrible. I brought my truck in for an oil change and a few days later noticed it was leaking and the plug was loose. I brought it back and they "fixed" it. I was later contacted by someone to discuss the issue and was promised three free oil changes which I appreciated. I brought it back today for the first free oil change for an appointment scheduled at 12:30. After an hour and a half the truck had not moved and we were informed that they would get to it when they were free enough. This place is an absolute joke. I would rather have a toddler work on my vehicle than this place. They even screwed up trying to fix the last screw up. I would rather pay for an oil change than get a free on here. I went in because I heard a loud noise coming from my front tire. Turns out there was a HUGE screw in the tire. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to plug the tire or not. When they pulled the screw they found that it didn't actually go into the tire. They were totally honest about it and sent me on my way without charging me a penny. They could have easily taken advantage of me but they didn't. Awesome - I recommend the to everyone I know looking for tires. read more

But she's now out of state and there are no nearby Firestone stores. He still insisted on making things right by reimbursing the cost of an oil change for the car at any facility. And that's what he did! We sent the receipt from Valvoline and Scott had the entire amount reimbursed. The follow up is most appreciated and shows concern for customer service. read more

I have spent close to a thousand dollars on 2 of my vehicles. My 2015 Buick Veranno needed new tires and alignment. When the installation was complete, I paid and picked up my car. The Tire Maintenance Required with an (!) exclamation point was lighted up on my speed limit dash. I asked about it and the mechanic said, I needed to go to Buick and have it reset.. I did not think it was a big deal but wondered why Firestone could not reset. I had a hip replacement last year and could not drive. I had my car inspected in March and the mechanic told me that a sensor had been rupted and had to be repaired. I was livid that Firestone either did not know what the signal meant or why they did not explain to me. The inspection mechanic pulled up the screen that pointed out the tire that was not registering and dit was the driver back tire. I went to Firestone and they calliberated and said there was no problem with any tire and reset the dash and the warning signal disappeared. The next day the warning reappeared and I went back to Firestone. Once again the mechanic went back with some hand held computer and low and behold another tire shows up as the problem and of course it was the tire they did not work on. Then they tell me its $200 to fix. #2 complaint. I took my 2000 Dodge Durango to Firestone to pass inspection and let me know what it would take to pass. I ended up paying $500 to get it to pass. The check engine light was off. I noticed the steering wheel was not turning as easy.(it has power steering) no response. I drove to Mooresville the next day to work on a rental and the check engine light turns back on. I was horrified.. And to top it off When I got to Mooresville, my blinkers were not working properly and a man ran in front of me while I was driving. I had NO HORN.. I called and they said it passed inspection and I could bring it in for a diagnosis and pay 90$ for a diagnosis. Needless to say, I will never do business with Firestone again. read more
