I made a reservation for an oil change for 9 a.m. The manager said it would be about a hour. My truck was not finished until 1:15 p.m. I thought the cost would have been reasonable, but it was $92 before taxes. The dealership only charges like $60. Back to the dealership I go. I came in on Saturday and they said it would be several hours before they could get to my car, it would be better to make a appointment for the next day. I made an appointment for the next day Sunday at 1pm, I arrived shortly before my appointment only to be told could not be seen at schedule time and would have to make a appointment for another day. 1. if the shop was having issues they had all customers numbers, why did they not call them and reschedule them instead of allowing them to drive to the shop expecting to have their vehicle worked on only to be presented with this. 2. it is unprofessional, very discourteous and does not bode well for return customer business. 3. They do not have quality mechanics! I took my truck there for a front end alignment (I have the lifetime alignment) because my truck was pulling to the right. After working on my truck for about an hour the technician told me that there was nothing he could do correct the pull, that it was going to continue to pull to the right, and I would just live to live with it. If he did not know how to correct the pull he should have called for help. Or am I being punished for having the lifetime alignment, which means that time spent on my vehicle doe not bring in money to them?!? read more

Have been here twice... first time was to have a tire that was under warranty changed and the second to buy new tires. Both experiences were HORRENDOUS! The most recent: Before I even spoke- the man had already waved off my business. Without knowing the problem, he told me I could leave the vehicle or come back later. When I told him what was going on as I had A FLAT TIRE and no other means of transportation... he repeated himself. He didn't even offer to help me put on the spare so that I may safety return! LUCKILY, I had DriveGuard tires on my vehicle (not that he knew because he didn't even ask me for my name to look at my customer profile.... OR LOOK AT THE VEHICLE) and drove to another firestone about 3 miles up the road in the neighboring Parish where they were wonderful, listened to my frustrations, and salvaged both my experience and business with Firestone. After asking around, this store notoriously has a bad reputation and should see a managerial overhaul! There's a reason why they have 2 stars. The customer service sucks and they overcharge for everything. They wanted me to pay over $600 just to tell me what was wrong with the car. I asked how that made sense and I got a lot of attitude back. He couldn't even make sense out of the situation and told me to come get my car, so I did. Holy crap!!!! What is with Firestone? Why can't a single place get it right? This is the third Firestone I have been to in my area. I was hoping third time a charm, but no, they screwed it up as well. What I find funny is each one has a sign up reading "I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business" -Harvey Firestone. Honestly screw up my service each time. It was simple. Four new tires. And the tire that was on the vehicle that was just changed. Put it back on the spare tire rack of my Jeep. Nope. NEVER AGAIN..... these guys are straight up crooks. I brought the car in for a quick oil change and general inspection, next thing I know they need me to replace the entire front axle. The working they used: "The vehicle is unsafe to drive". I went back and forth with these guys, and they kept recommending opening up a Firestone account (another scam with HIGH APR%). I decided to pick my car and take it to the dealer to verify if the recommended service is really recommended! Guess what, the dealer just called and replaced 1/3 of what was recommended and it was covered by a recall and didnt charge me anything. Not even labor. This place sucks. We came on a Sunday for a oil change and to replace 1 tire. We were told they had a lot of cars, so I made an appointment for Monday. At 2pm, I made it for my appointment and was told to come back by4:30. It's 6:45 right now and I'm still here. I told the guy at the front desk that I needed my tire replaced, but instead they patched my damn tire. So now I have to wait who knows how long. This place is awful, awful, horrible! I brought my car in to buy tires and have a few things repaired. They called me with an estimate of $3,600!!! Claimed I needed tires, brakes for the back and front, ALL four rotars replaced, a motor mount, shocks, struts, oil change...amongst other things! OMG! The three things that I brought it in for weren't even mentioned! When the guy was giving me a price breakdown on the phone, my toddler was trying to talk to me. I asked the guy to repeat from the rear brake cost & he became cocky and rude! He said in a ugly tone "OH! I CAN START ALLL OVER if u need!" I told him "I have a toddler and I ONLY need u to start from the back brakes!" I picked up my car and went straight to Express Car Care in Gretna. They did a full check and came back with ONLY the things I originally brought my car to Firestone for in the first place!!! read more

They know me here by name! I buy my tires here and bring my car here when my mechanic friend isn't free to service my car. My family and I have been bringing our cars here for ten years. The only issue we've had was a leak after they fixed a flat tire. They fixed the leak for free, of course, and they took care of my car immediately. If you have the option of leaving your car and coming back later, I highly suggest you do that instead of waiting. Unless there's a mistake on their part, they take the cars in the order they are brought in. read more

The absolute worst service I have ever received, which is saying a lot after years of going to different mechanics. Went in to get two new tires and an oil change left with my car barely drivable and they are unwilling to fix it. Spoke with other mechanics who said it just wasn't balanced properly and the alignment job they did was off. When I went to get my car, the guy asked if I wanted to open a Firestone credit card account and commented that it's about to get really hot. No thanks. Not one time but two times on, two separate occasions, did they mess my family over, my sister with her Honda and my mom with her Chevy.They don't know what honesty and professionalism means because clearly, they give you a time to pick up the cars but never honor them, making my little sister wait 1.5 more hours for her car and my mom another hour for her SUV. Not only that, the mechanics work are highly questionable because when my mom came in for an alignment, there is a paper stats that you can request to see if the alignments are in the green light. When my mom demanded a request for the diagnostic sheet, which you have the right to obtain, the worker clearly did not know how to do his work correctly because my mom saw through the glass windows that the dude had to elevate and lower and elevate the car a couple of times, and that paper was not given to her until another 20 minutes later. The worker did not even know how to get it right, and when my mom made a fuss in the lobby, the poor other regular clients began to questions the managers and workers working abilities also (they asked my mom why she was making the fuss, she explained, and they began to question the manager whether of not it's true). Don't think because we're minorities and are females, we do not know we're doing, better think twice. The manager tried to dish out coupons and apologized to my mom from beginning to end all the way to the car too. I'm sorry but we don't take hand outs, we aren't beggars. DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my car in yesterday because I saw that I had a screw in one of my tires, and I asked them to take a look at it and see if it needed to be patched or plugged. All they did was look at where the screw was located and said that it couldn't be patched because of the location. Any good car care company should know that you should probably remove the screw to make sure that it has penetrated thru the entire tire. Instead, judging by inspection ONLY, they told me that I needed an entire new tire because it "couldn't be patched." Therefore, I paid $185 for a brand new tire that, by the way, does not even match my other 3. Throughout this process, I asked that they put my old tire that was "unrepairable" in my trunk. I checked the old tire in my trunk today, and low a behold...the screw is still in my tire (meaning they never removed it to check if it was actually a problem) and the best part is that the screw did not even go all the way thru my tire. I wasted $185 on a brand new tire that doesn't even match and wasted 2 hours of my life when I didn't even need to. I cannot believe I actually trusted this Firestone to give me quality, honest customer service. And the guy that I dealt with had me believing that he was taking good care of me. They only thing that did was take advantage of my predicament and cashed in on a profit for their company. Worst customer service that I have ever dealt with at a car care place. DO NOT GO HERE, you will get manipulated and screwed into spending more money. Your better with going to one of those mom and pop tire places because at least they will be honest! read more
