After going back and forth with corporate after store manager admitted they have no cameras ANYWHERE and could not be responsible for damages I had to email corporate. This happened in October!! Long story short after months of getting the run around claims denied my claim because according to them, there is no proof they did it. Even after submitting pictures of what my car looked like before and after I received it. I am now having to take them to court for repairs. STAY AWAY IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CAR DAMAGED!!! Not my experience but yet i am coming on here to tell my dads experience since he doesn't use social media. My dad went in to only receive a service of a Wheel alignment. they called him and stated to him that when they were lifting the car, a few parts fell from the front and will take longer to get fixed. My dad immediately got up and left our home and got to Firestone in 5 mins. (We do live very close to this shop) When he got there, he asked where the fallen parts are at and they said they fixed it already. The job/parts they were speaking about in fact DOES NOT take 5 mins to fix. My dad became furious and began to yell at the guys there. He is extremely knowledgeable in cars, so of course he became upset and knew he is being scammed. They also told my dad his tire sensors are broken and needed new ones. Minding you, my dad has an older car that doesn't have tire sensors. He did ask for the manager, who apparently wasn't there. At any business, there should always be a manager or supervisor available or at least on site till their available. Eventually my dad left cause he just wanted his wheel alignment done. When he returned to get his car, the service was suddenly free. Although it was generous that this place waived the service fee because they knew they messed up. It doesn't mean that no one will know about this terrible experience. I don't know how many other customers of theirs they tried to do this on, but think twice about bringing your car here. read more

I went into here since it was the nearest tire shop by me and I had a flat. They told me my tire wasn't repairable since the nail is in the side wall. I'm not a specialist but I'm pretty sure this isn't the side wall and totally repairable. They just wanted to sell me a tire and not do their job. I've never owned a car before, so this was my first experience getting the (used) car I have now serviced. The light on my car was badgering "Service Due!"--it was 11k miles since the last oil change and I was facing a long Thanksgiving holiday trip. Since I had to do this chore after picking up my car from O'Hare, I randomly picked this Firestone only a few miles away and made an appointment online, about four days ahead of time. They got back to me very quickly--maybe an hour or so? Time flew as I waited in their lobby--I was doing some urgent emailing for work (on their fine wifi--but the total time for this oil change and "courtesy" check-up had to be less than 45 minutes. As far as I can tell, the car was serviced right, they walked me through some problems with some of my tires, and everything seemed to check out. While I was sitting there waiting, I got to listen in as a few difficult people without appointments came in and demanded something or other. The clerk in charge was professional and firm with them. With me, he was patient and gentle. I'm very grateful. It's been a week since the servicing, and so far, so good. Since I'm new to this I'm giving them a 4/5 -- perhaps there's some aspect I have no basis to compare and don't want to exaggerate. I have been going to Firestone Franklin Park now for 5 years. 2 sets of street tires and a set of snow tires later and they never cease to impress me with their level of service, quality, price, and available financing options. I didn't know the clunking I heard in the front of my Volkswagen was a strut mount, but the tech found it and informed me immediately when I went in for an oil change. The cost of the repair was very affordable and it saved me from huge problems down the road. The manager, Juan, is very professional and courteous. I will continue to go to Firestone Franklin Park for all of my car repair and tire needs. Oh! And I signed up for a Firestone credit card and 6 months to pay for my tires with no interest! read more

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!! Went to Firestone for NEW tires 11/02/19 They were advertised on their web site as "same day availability". Of course they don't have them in stock.. but they "have a replacement tire in stock". I had reviewed tires online and picked out the BEST tire for my small truck. The replacement tires they tried to sell me were the wrong size, meaning they were not even rated for my vehicle?!?! Does anyone else sense they don't care about their customers safety, or is it just me? When I asked for the date code, (That's right DOT requires there be a date code from the manufacturer on each tire sold) They were from week 50 of 2018. I told the guy, JORGE, "you're charging me for brand new tires and trying to sell me tires that are 11mos. old?!?" He said "That's what we have" Walking out of the store I called their corporate office and customer service line. The CO lady said they had discontinued the tires that were 11mos. old they tried to sell me!?! The CS guy said he would reach out to the store and call me back. He did and I was told that they would not do anything for me. What a huge waste of time and gas. I told customer service, the only thing you can do when you're screwed over by a company is slap them on the internet and NOT give them ANY of your money!! OK, these guys are trustworthy and patriotic. Pulled into their parking lot with a broken rear caliper. Our sailor was at the airport leaving in a few hours and I was going to miss it. My poor civic has suffered through repairs from bad mechanics, but this facility was absolutely wonderful. I recently bought tires online and was looking for a good facility to mount/balance them, rotate my tires, and perform an alignment. Tire rack recommended this place and Firestone's website offered a great deal for an alignment so I decided to pay a visit. Juan's customer service was outstanding and he kept me updated about everything they were doing. He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable as I waited in the clean waiting area.The visit took longer than expected, but I would trade quality for time anytime. When the strut on my car broke (my previous mechanic did a bad job) they even took responsibility and replaced my hub and bearing free of charge. They even put air into my friend's tires for free while we were waiting. I will definitely come back and refer my friends/family to this facility. read more

I had to leave my car here due to brakes seizing and burning up. I told them exactly what happened but they insisted on charging me $22 to diagnose the problem. The next day I called and they said exactly what I told them happened. They told me I needed calipers, rotors, brakes, brake lines, alignment & brake fluid. They then said I needed a coolant flush and fuel filter replaced. Total $1600. I said thats too much to put into a 2005 Buick Rendezvous- just do the brake stuff and he said ok it would be $1500. So I thought thats what it was without the coolant flush and fuel filter replacement. But they were still on the bill the next day. Long story short (LOL) they could have done the brakes for around $1200 and saved me $300 but they sucked everything they could out of me. Oh and they left the $22 charge on. Ripoff! I come in with a bad compressor, they replace it but say they can't add Freon because the cold weather will give an in accurate reading, and I need to come back when it's warmer, so I did, but then they had no record of Me at all. The Freon is also an oil for the compressor so it also failed without the oil soon after and again they wouldn't help me. This was only a 2 month span, how can they screw people like this! read more

This was my first time here and I love it!! Fast and quality service. They have an area with toys for kids to play and sit. This store is very clean except the bathroom. As a woman to walk in and see a toilet seat up and a nasty toilet.. It was a turnoff for me. I just decided to wait until I got home. Other than that the employees know what they are doing. Called to get a quote for mount and balance for tires since tire rack recommended these for 14.20 per tire (40 series). When called, salesperson quoted 25 bucks per tire. I asked why so much and he said for miscellaneous and tpms. I told him I didn't have tpms And he said if didn't matter it was a flat rate. From the get go he sounded like he didn't care and quoted a price from thin air. I called another Firestone and got quoted a way lesser price since I didn't have tpms. Worst service ever. I brought my vw for the alignment service after i replaced tie rod assemblies. I put brand new steering rack boots. After the alignment service i took the car home to find out that both of the steering rack boots were twisted during the alignment and ripped off. And the technicians at the shop did not bother to tell me that they screwed up. Hopefully i found it out before my $400 steering get busted. Stay Away!!! read more

I am very impressed with the staff at the front counter, service tech are worth their weight in gold, and the manager took the time to go over everything with me and answered all my questions. With me being in the service industry and having to deal with customers daily, it was nice to be treated the I treat my customers. Went in for an oil change since they were having a deal. Turns out there were some issues with my car that should be taken care of sooner rather than later, the people in the front explained to me what needed to be done and priced it all out so I knew what exactly I'd be paying for. It was a lot more than I intended to pay for my visit but they got me the best deal I could get and saved me money and issues in the long run. I appreciate that they were helpful and were able to get my car done in a timely matter and stayed after closing so they could finish it. Went in to install 4 tire purchased online. They quoted me a great price right away including mounting, balancing, and disposal. Had to wait a while because they were busy, but didn't mind. While waiting they did point out some needed repairs to customers- mostly for safety reasons, but are not pushy. Bought tires from them. Had them rotate twice... always had a pull and vibration, they said all was fine..finally took to my repair shop and was told the tires were NEVER balanced and had no weights. SHAME ON THEM...needless to say they are wearing unevenly.
