    The dining room

A pleasant atmosphere, good location, little competition, and excellent service made up for lackluster food. The salmon was overdressed in maple and sesame, while the "Moroccan" tagine had all the sensuous exotic zip that you'd expect in New Brunswick... The raspberry dessert was great, and a strong US$ made this an acceptable dinner far from home.

The Pier Waterfront - Lobster was excellent

Typical tourist decor with the fake fish on the wall, but cute nonetheless. We ordered, mussels, baked clams as our appetizer and then waited....for over 30 minutes! When the waitress finally did come back she apologized for the delay and said it was her fault (she didn't say what happened so I'm guessing she forgot to put the ticket it). But the whole time we were waiting she never once came back to check on us or our drink sitch- hubbys water was empty for awhile. Then our mains came out, I had to try the lobster and my hubs had the salmon. He ordered corn with it but got the carrots. No biggie he likes both. Again there was no follow up with us and we wanted dessert. He finally had to go up to the bar to get her attention so we could order it and take to go. Great food, a little lacking in the customer service. Great price!!

Went with scallops, onion rings, coleslaw and a Bahama Mamma drink. The scallops were tough and I didn't feel they were as fresh as other places, especially Nova Scotia and down the coast in the states. The coleslaw was interesting and I liked it. The onion rings were the worst I have ever had - I get the feeling they don't make them themselves, they were stuck together, very hard batter and the oil was dripping off them. The Bahama Mamma was beautiful to look at and tasted really good, but though I was dehydrated, I really didn't feel the liquor in it at all. The views are very nice. I did lots of looking to see what the best restaurant was on the island and there was nothing that was outstanding. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing and there are better things to have gotten, but the coleslaw, drink and the home made aoili dipping sauce for the onion rings was REALLY tasty and something that one should try if you are eating here.

Upon arrival, we inquired inside and voila! They've made a special lobster combo. For $50/whole lobster, it comes with a roll and a corn. Add $25 for another whole lobster. Dessert included too. It took us 3 hours from lining up to finish! Long three hours but it's very well worth the wait. Lobsters were very fresh, butter isn't necessary. Juices poured out as soon as we cracked the lobster open. Shania and the manager were very friendly making our long wait worthwhile. The restaurant isn't big and doesn't have much seating, not enough for passengers of a cruise ship. On normal days, they don't serve lobsters and serving this small town should be enough.

I dove into a Rueben sandwich and my wife got a super fresh haddock sandwich as we sat out on the deck on a beautifully sunny day. It was very crowded at the bar and on the deck but that didn't hinder the speedy service and friendly faces helping. The blueberry pie was delicious and the prices are very affordable even seeing the lobster roll on the menu at an affordable price. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite in the center of Eastport, try this place out, I don't think you will be disappointed.
