It's more of a dinner dining experience so the atmosphere for brunch is pretty formal. Having said that it's a nice set up and the all day brekkie menu has a good selection of different types of stuff from pancakes to quinoa to eggs benny and full English. I had wild mushroom ragout with duck egg and my companion had avo with bacon and goats cheese. Both were tasty and nicely presented. It filled the hole. Coffee was good enough to satisfy a snobby Italian Fortunately it's not noisy from the hissing coffee machine and that alone would be worth one extra star at least! Amongst a sea of brunch places it's reasonably priced. No kids so that was a huge bonus! I'd recommend giving The Vault a crack but it's unlikely to become your go to Sunday brunch spot.

We started with the antipasto plus some olives. Both were excellent. I had the porchetta for main which touched on absolutely outstanding. I seriously loved it. It was superbly cooked and presented. The other mains were much enjoyed too. If food is the measure, Basta should be doing very well indeed.

Entree Calamari dish was textured and cooked such that my Japanese wife (& chef) was questioning whether it was frozen Calamari, however the taste was on point Could have been a tad more generous though. Our mains from the special menu was a Vongole pasta dish, that was also a bit quite uninspiring. Pasta was cooked to perfection, al-dente and most definitely home-made however it lacked any seasoning, and boasted only about 3-4 Pipis and 3 small Mussels. It was just, well....so bland, had no nice garlic or white wine flavour and although my wife asked for some dried chilli to 'spice it up' a tad, none was forthcoming. For dessert I had the Tiramisu, which was served in a glass and started off well. Good balance of classic Tiramisu flavours & creamy texture until I got to the bottom whereby the sponge fingers were a very undesirable chewy texture that indicated to me they'd been in the fridge for a day or two and weren't at all fresh. A disappointing dessert to finish off the night. Service staff were polite, friendly and mostly attentive. Overall a pleasant evening however it didn't quite live up to the hype based on previous reviews I've read from various web sites. 3/5.

The meatball didn't really hold up its shape and sort of fell apart after dicing it into manageable bite-sized pieces. And they could've had more bourbon bacon flavor to it. But I did try the pork meatball, and that was certainly on point. It stayed together, wasn't dry, I could taste the fennel seeds, and was outrageously done well. You get so many options here, it's easy to make it your own. You will not leave here with an empty stomach that's for sure, the meatballs are the size of golf balls. Service was good, the waitress was friendly and helpful and did check up on us with good timing. Special shout out to their "Forgive me for what I said when I was hungry" wall feature.

Arriving to a half empty restaurant and being asked if I had a reservation whilst the staff had one of those "where will they sit" conversations, we were offered a nice table at the back at the restaurant - much better than the bar table at the front that was the only original option. However, that was the only blip on the staff radar. A few recent reviews all seemed to comment on the bad service and I'm not sure if we were lucky, or if they've made some changes, but I can't do anything but complement them! They were super attentive (not in the pushy way), appearing when we needed them, asking all the right questions at the right time - if our wine needed topping up, if we were considering dessert, replacing our bottle of water on the table without needing to ask and then leaving is to chat away without pushing us out the restaurant at the end of the meal. So, service 5 stars! Unfortunately, the meatballs let me down. There is a lot of choices when getting the "Balls n All". You choice your type of meat (or veg) ball, the kind of sauce and what you want them on top of. I'll admit it, making decisions ain't my strong point! I ended up deciding on pork balls, red sauce on their house pasta. The meals came out and looked delicious - three large meatballs, a decent amount of sauce and some tasty looking pasta. The meatballs were ok. They didn't blow my mind or have me savouring every bite. I mean sure, I ate everything on the plate but it just wasn't the flavour explosion I had expected. They were tender and fell apart easily from the fork, they just didn't have any underlying actual taste to them. One of my friends had the penne which came with chicken meatballs and she said she could eat those chicken delights for days (although was disappointed with the rest of the dish, but the chicken meatballs well and truly made up for it). Given her glowing review of the star of her dish, I would consider making a return, but won't be in a hurry to do so.

The staff were incredibly warm and helpful throughout the planning process - special thanks to Maggie and Ray. We had the beautiful room upstairs for our function. Sitting under the big feature window was very glamorous. The food was top quality, generously sized, good value for the set menu price and plentiful. The menu was printed with our business name and individual menus were tailored/ printed for anyone with dietary requirements, so everyone felt comfortable understanding what they could eat. My team had a lovely time and we were all very grateful. Thank you team Tazio - I will definitely be back.

So this is tapas, high end tapas, well thought out, premium ingredients, with a touch molecule gastronomy. All the dishes I had were well plated, and well presented, and all were delicious. My favorites of the evening are as follows: "Carrillera de Buey" ( beef cheek and cauliflower purée ) intense ! Super rich and earthy, the "Chocos" ( cuttlefish ) perfection! love the ink "Calabacin" ( charred zucchini ), zucchini can go wrong real fast and this was cook perfectly, al dente yes ! Definitely take a look at the menu to see all the other descriptions and ingredients of the dishes I mentioned above, way too many to type. I really wanted to try the "Bocadillo" ( fried pig's ear sandwich ) but it wasn't on the menu, no worries still had lots of great food in a great environment. For dessert I had the "Cigarillo" it's like a chocolate ice cream cigar dipped in chocolate and then rolled on crushed pistachios! Wow yum ! Thanks !
