What a sweet little place in the heart of downtown. It's like a calm and creative oasis amiss the beautiful chaos. Upon entering staff greeted us and explained the process. They have a nice balance of leaving you be while also making sure they are available to help. You select a piece to paint and then grab some pint. They have a very organized set up- this place has been here forever. I even remember going 8+ years ago. You can see all the colors after they're done so you get a good idea. The supplies are organized and plentiful. After you paint your piece (make sure to do many coats) you leave it on the table and they fire it for you and let you know when to come back and pick it up. I really like that they have great spaces for everyone to sit and work. The music is good, there's food and coffee nearby and the tables are comfortable. Nobody rushes you. What a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. They also have other art I've never done but it looks awesome (ex-glasswork). And a kids pottery summer camp (cute). Oh and be sure to use your go local card- it's a great discount.

Super fun way to spend some time. You can paint pottery or paint canvas or do fused glass in a single sitting. There are other things you can do also that you might have to come by a few times. And if you are out of town, they ship it to you after it's fired. Very nice and helpful staff. Great experience.

I've wanted to come here since the last time I was in Asheville ( I think a lot of my review's start like this? ) a few months ago. I've done glass fusing at the Corning museum of glass in NY and love it. I was trying to make a field of wildflowers, which definitely looked better in my mind, and hubby made a sailboat ( my idea! ). See the pics below. I'll also post pics of the finished items when we receive them. I also love that they have other stuff to do like pottery painting! And their stuff is totally different than Dish it Out in Charlotte! I wanted to paint something too but my hubby was tired of sitting!

Fun and creative pace for young and old alike. You can do glass art, paint pottery or glass mosaic. Everything is explained and once done, they will ship it to you, if you are not local. My kids loved the options, cutting the glass, gluing them to the glass substrate and arranging the colors. I preferred the pottery painting but note with pottery there is a slight "studio fee" for the glazing and firing. Everything is mailed to wherever you live for $15. Great fun, safe environment, the owner makes it more fun for everyone. If you go, tell him you heard it from Matt from Jacksonville.

I love crafty store. This one is a most! We paint pottery. They have aprons, nice tables with water and paint brush and they explain you how to paint and how it will look. They have a good variation of paint, stencils, brush, sponges, glass and you can also booked a class for doing your own mud pottery. Best of all they can ship you hour art after being finished for a flat rate! The place was packed of birthday party, families and couples. Is a nice way of having a good memory.

PARKING There's a massive private parking lot outside the warehouse-style building. Available spaces are endless ~ You won't have a problem finding a space. II. SERVICE Accommodating and informative. They'll go out of their way to help you here. III. QUALITY Vast amount of selection of artwork on various mediums. I like this specific location because everything is up for purchase. So, it's not like you can just observe and move on ~ you can actually buy it if you want it.

The instant you walk through the door, it is obvious that this place was built on love and intention. The space is filled with art from floor to ceiling but doesn't feel cluttered. It kinda feels like a big, warm art hug when you walk through the doors. A lot of the art has a kind of "hippie/spiritual" vibe to it. The art filling the studio is colorful and expressive. They showcase multiple artists' work and have a few studios that you can walk through as well as the main gallery hall. When the weather starts warming up, they will be planing a garden and sculpture area outside as well. This outside area will be quite large, the same size as their indoor space. This is an amazing gallery and I already can't wait to go back!

I…read morelearned about it through an artist (IyaBlu' Inc) that was attending a downtown Asheville pottery festival. Rachel Smith opened the studio in 2015 and collaborates with 6-8 pottery artists creating anything from dishes to ornaments to vases and more. Her husband, Dana Smith also sells his custom writing instruments and kitchen utensils here. Besides the expected wooden inlay pens, he uses unique materials like pasta and oats, which are worth checking out. I always find something I like here, and prices are reasonable. It's also a great spot to pick up a gift. Hours are typically around 10-3 M-Sat but do vary.
