Rick was advertised at the guitar center with free lessons with the purchase of the guitar. I'm a busy dad with a limited amount of time to practice. Rick is super-patient with me and very helpful with little tricks that make the guitar more fun. I'm getting the hang of the guitar after several months and look forward to my lesson each time. Rick knows a lot of history which adds color to what I'm trying to learn. He can play any song I bring in and teach me how to play it. I'd highly recommend Rick to a beginner like me. I've gotten I think 5 repairs here and they have either made the instrument worse by introducing a new issue or just not helping the issue at all. I recently went there for a repair for my instrument (a woodwind with a reed) and they even gave me the repair for free! Uh, new problem, my instrument now sounds like shit and is super airy. They also claimed that there was actually a note that wasn't working and that they fixed it?? Spoiler alert, I used to be able to play the note, NOW I CANT AT ALL! Awesome! It makes the instrument squeak I will probably continue coming here for stands, reeds, etc. but I think I'm done coming here for repairs

Parents will welcome the accomplished instructor and the ability to start the learning journey with a good quality rental violin. Another reason this shop deserves respect is keeping their doors open when the number of music instrument stores seems to shrink every year. It was a bit of drive from my home to this shop, but absolutely worth the extra effort.
